The days will get longer starting at 7:04 a.m. (Eastern Time) this morning, and the countdown to spring will begin. Yay!!! I can feel my winter depression lifting already! Either that or my Robitussin is kicking in. Probably both. :D
Here's a cute quote from my favorite astronomer, Phil Plait.
"Winter Solstice has always been a time of celebration, because ancient people — more closely tied with the skies due to agriculture and no light pollution — knew that it meant the sun was coming back up, and spring was coming. We celebrate it in modern times by going into debt. We’re far more sophisticated these days."
Here's to more sunlight ...and hopefully as little debt as possible. ;)
This is sort of an old song (1999), but Stu found the video on YouTube last night and showed it to me. I just love the little blue aliens. The little guy rockin' at 3:16 cracks me up. The song is adorable, and the video is adorable. :D
I'm Blue
Move Your Body (another silly video featuring more blue aliens! :D)
Awwwwwww!! That's awesome! I couldn't figure out what the little somethin' special was until I stared at it for a few minutes! Very cute and subtle. :D Lola's a rock star!
Is this why Lola goes to Sound Ideas with Stu? Ahaaa...she's in commercials and advertisements. Is she earning her own money yet? She's a natural, that's for sure.
I know! It's crazy! :-O Heather is so beautiful and still looks like she's 25! It's hard to believe that she has four kids - and the oldest is 15!! They are all so sweet too.
