Well.... I think so! I had to call each night to find out if I was supposed to report the next day for duty. My group was not called to report for Monday-Thursday, but I forgot to call Thursday night and went to work as normal on Friday. I completely forgot about it until I went to bed Saturday night!! I haven't gotten any calls or mail saying I'm in trouble for not reporting, so I hope my group wasn't called for Friday and I just lucked-out! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed! ;)
Yes, I am finally home! I missed you guys too! Now I am doing laundry, unpacking and cleaning. It's pretty fun considering that I've been gone for 19 days!
What would you like me to bring tomorrow? Also I might have the 4 kids back if that's ok. I'm not sure about that, but it's possible that either daddy or the kids will be here. I'll make sure that we bring enough food, if they come. I don't want an extra worry for you.
They ran my letter? I didn't even check to see, because the receptionist that took it told me that it definitely would not run this week. I felt kind of silly about it when I picked up the paper, and there was Childers' picture on the front page! I would like to think that I helped make that happen, but I really don't think they would've written that story between the time they got my letter and the time this week's edition came out. They must have already planned to run it, anyway. I guess I need to write another letter, and thank them, and maybe apologize for being too quick to criticize. I seem to be sticking my foot in my mouth a lot lately when it comes to the media--I was wrong about them not asking about abortion in the debate on Wednesday night, too.
That sounds great! You want to go and eat before/after? And do you want to go here or Corinth? I prefer Corinth's theather, but you are the one with kids and a sitter, so just let us know.
Dec 14th is fine. We miss you all! Josie was crying last night before they left and I think she realized that she wouldn't get to see her boyfriend, Nathaniel. So are you going to be back by Sunday the 7th?
Hello everyone! Hope you're day is going well. My family is happy to be home after being gone for nearly 2 weeks. Jacky had a trip to D.C. (The boys and I stayed with my parents), and then we took a vacation to Florida. We had a great time! We got to visit a lot of family and the boys LOVED the sand and water! It was a lot of fun, and a much needed break for all of us.
It was a very long trip, though, with 3 little ones. We went to the Pensacola area first to see Jacky's brother and his family and see our niece graduate from high school. Jacky's parents and lots of other family came for the event. It was great to see all of them. Then, after a few days, we drove to Seminole,FL (it's close to St. Pete) to visit my older brother. He lives about 3 minutes from Madeira Beach. It's so pretty, there. We also got to see my younger brother and his wife who live in Tampa (about 45 minutes from Seminole) and also Jacky's sister and her family who also live in Tampa. I had such a nice time, that I didn't want to come back home! But, it is nice to be back in our own beds.
We stayed in a RV while we were visiting my brother. He lives in an RV and Trailer park (it is a really nice one!). A couple that live there in a trailer also have an RV and they let us use it. It was really nice. It is so pleasant and peaceful where he lives. Jackson had a big time riding the big wheel his uncle Mark bought for him at a yard sale up and down the streets and Preston pulled his little sand wagon all over the place! They really had a great time. Nathaniel slept most of the time that we were at the beach, but he did seem to enjoy it when I sat down with him at the water's edge and let the waves roll over us.
We ate at a neat place called Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I really enjoyed it. I got a smoothie called Sunrise Sunset, and it was fabulous! But now, it's back to reality and cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, etc.!
We are planning on putting hardwood floors down in part of our house this weekend. I am looking forward to having them, but not the mess! Hopefully, it will go smoothly. It is a good thing we are planning to do it soon, because Preston spilled 3/4 of a gallon of milk in the hallway a few days ago! What a huge mess! I will definitely be glad to get rid of THAT carpet!!!
I love Jackson in the sand, that is a priceless expression on his face! I also, of course love the ones with the other boys. The beach looks so mice. I'm jealous!
Thanks. Actually we aren't going until Joes comes here. He wants to go. It is about 3hrs away, and we will do it in one day because Tonya will probably go too. So, it will be all of us going.
Huh... I tried that, but it didn't work. I'm using my computer at work right now, so there may be some kind of block on it... I'll have to try it on a different computer later. Thanks, though! I'm really interested to hear it! :)
Thanks. I feel mostly better today. I'm still really tired, but I guess that's from my elevated BP and I think that is because of the stress. Today we are cleaning the house. It lookes like a tornado ripped through here. :)
Peach tea has kind of a bitter taste at first and then gets sweeter and Sweet tea w/peach is really sweet...i don't mind it but when i ask for something specific and i'm paying for it i really want what i ordered origanally. they basically taste the same but i'm just being picky ;-) Guitar Hero is a game where you have a "play guitar" and the notes are on the screen and you "strum" them, well it's 5 buttons and a "clicker" thing(don't know how to describe it..lol). it's realllly fun and addicting! hopefully we can have a get-together soon and play it!
Yeah, it's getting difficult to turn in bed, get up from the couch, bend over, etc!! We played putt-putt over the weekend, and Kris always had to retrieve my ball, 'cuz I couldn't bend over very easily! ;)
I hoped that you didn't read it last night and worry. I think it must have come from the church building too! I'd hate to think of what he was doing in his free time between church and coming home from your house.
I thought these pictures would make you smile. I hope everyone is having a good day. It is dreary and rainy here. But, it brightens my day to look at this picture of Nathaniel! You can see his scar from his surgery. I'm so thankful to God that he is well and healthy now! The boys had a big time in Gatlinburg swimming in the kiddie pool! They were so cute! My parents are in sunny Florida! They are visiting my younger brother who is graduating from Fireman school tomorrow! I am proud of him. Have a great day!
haha..3 little boys drive you crazy? how can that be..j/k. ;) i had a great day..thanks! ryan's much better too. i can't believe he's graduating either!! i get all emotional when i think about it even tho he's gonna stay here and go to JSCC. :D hope you're having a good day!
Also, I don't think that we are doing anything tomorrow since it's mother's day. No one really talked about it on Wednesday, so I thought we'd take the day off.
You need to look up in your manual on your camera and adjust the white balance, all of your photos kind of have a bluish tint that should be corrected.
Hey, we missed you and the boys. I hope Preston feels better soon. We decided to do brunch on Sunday after church. Do you have a breakfast caserole or something to bring? Also can you bring your coffeemaker so we can have two?
Don't worry about bringing extra coffee, unless you just want to. June 6th we (Savannah Heights) are going to start having quarterly singings at the church building. I hope Preston feels like coming tonight. We are going to be able to go because Emi's game was cancelled.
oh wow! i bet the boys enjoyed the beach! it's not raining today..yay! although the sky is overcast outside. i hope the rest of your vacation is good! miss ya'll too! :)
yea..he kept me rolling! that smoothie sounds soooo good! i think that Florida would be an awesome place to live! if ya'll ever did move down there i would really miss ya'll!! we got the pictures of the boys in the mail today...they're sooo good! :)
After several days of working on the swing set, Jacky and I got it finished! Yippee for all of us! The boys love it! They ate their lunch today outside on the picnic table that is attached to the swing set. They had a big time. Nathaniel likes swinging in his little baby swing. He laughs. It is so sweet.
We took a trip to Gatlinburg last week. Jacky had a convention to attend. We took my Mother along as our Nanny! :) We all had a nice time. The mountains were beautiful. We took the boys to the Aquarium. They really enjoyed it. It is really neat.
It is a beautiful day out today!! Hope everyone is enjoying it!
Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!
I'm still trying to figure out this picture posting thing. These pictures are pretty small. Apparently, if you click on them, it will show you a bigger picture.
I remember that Kris and Jonathan had sooo many fun times together!! I thank God for their friendship. I just smile when I think of the two of them together!!!!!
I missed your anniversary! Happy one day late Anniversary. You still could have called and asked me to babysit, even though I had the sniffles. I wouldn't have minded.
