You know what, I'm almost more dissapointed that Waxahachie went wet. But, I still have a smile on my face :) The 7th week of my internship is passing by, and December keeps sneaking closer and closer. I paid for the big registration test I have to take after graduation. Can I please have my arm and leg back? That's okay, I'll make it up soon enough- even with higher taxes ;)
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of lights with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." James 1
I'm really enjoying reading all the scriptures people have put on their blogs that make me think or smile. This is one that always gives me joy. Whatever our country will go through, this is just another opportunity to remember why we are really here. Our true and perfect home is ruled by a just and merciful King. |

It seriously doesn't seem like a month since I last posted. Time is flying, which I love- especially because it brings me that much closer to graduation. Less than two months! But who's counting ;) Field work is still going well, I'm wrapping up my 5th week of the 12 weeks and I have about 15 kids that I individually treat. The sessions are generally great, though I often end up with food and/or paint smeared over my shirt by the end of the day because I work with them in art or lunch. Yay for washable clothes and soap and water!
Our gospel meeting starts tommorrow night with David Tant at 7:00 on Friday and 6:30 (singing before) on Saturday. I've never heard him before, but I've heard good things about it. Please come if you can! And, on a seperate note, I'm dating a great guy right now so life is good :) |

I'm not going to do one of those "sorry I haven't posted in SO long" posts. I always think those are silly because I figure my updates on life are not that interesting that anyone really misses out what's going on :)
So, life is good. I finished my first field work rotation on Friday, which was a little sad as everything had gone well and I liked my supervisors. I jumped right into my second field work on Monday and so far the beginning has been much smoother. It's nice to have 12 weeks under your belt :) The therapy I'm doing is SO different, but so far I have enjoyed it. I'm at Mansfield school district and am divided between 3-4 therapists. The kids I work with of course provide many interesting challanges, but are SO much fun. I got loved on by some siblings with autism, got some collision hugs from some other kids, got pinched, tugged, and patted by everyone. After just a few days, I'm considering this field. I get to move around a lot more than my previous rotation, and that makes the day go by faster. I also have a definite time to leave (4:00) and that is super!
Let's see, in my free time I am knitting some, trying to keep up with the "Biggest Loser," looking forward to "The Office" premier, watching hockey games, helping plan my sister's wedding and whatever random thing happens to come up. Definitely looking forward to graduation!
And, that's my life. Hope you enjoyed it :) |

When you have the RNC! Seriously great speech from Fred, and Laura Bush is very classy. And the recognition of soldiers from different wars gave me chills. Can't wait to hear Palin!

About 13 years ago, my sister and I decided that we were ready to be baptized and give our lives to Christ.
A few years (and lots of prayer) later my brother Derek became a Christian.
Just a few hours ago, Elijah was baptized. His decision is an answer to years of prayer from a family that loves him SO much. I am so proud of him and so thrilled to have all of my family be a part of an even greater family. There really are no words for that joy. Praise God! |
