I'm entirely too excited about Christmas this year. It might have something to do with the fact that Kent will be here for the holidays..just maybe.. ;-)
This week someone at work asked about my favorite Christmas movie. I can't settle on just one, but I always stop to watch ELF, CHRISTMAS VACATION, HOME ALONE and THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Who could forget GREMLINS? Every time I watch it, I say to myself "If I had a Mogwai, I'd never get him wet or feed him after midnight." Ridiculous, I know...but I still want a Gizmo.

What? No "A Christmas Story"? :) I'm currently watching "The Bishop's Wife" on Turner Classic Movies. I'm about to wrap gifts. I love this time of year, too. Oh, and we also always watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

I've been thinking a lot about kindness over the past few days and ran across a great quote from C.S. Lewis (below), which got me studying a bit more about it. Just thought I'd share a few things I found.

Friends are the greatest gift a person can have and there is always room in our hearts for more...but never to be removed are the love from those that have always been there.
Its only 9am on Election Day and my nerves are already on edge. If, at the end of the day, the race is close, I'll be up all night, flipping from Fox News to CNN to ABC to NBC and anywhere else I can find more up-to-the-minute news on final numbers.
I'm sort of a political junkie. My family has always been political, I was a Political Science major in college. I even went on to law school where I saw first hand some of the morally-bankrupt, money-grubbing punks who only studied law in Chicago with a hope they could launch their political careers and liberlize the country even more than it already is.
