In other news, Nic has LESS THAN TWO MONTHS until he is DONE with school!! Can I get a YIPEE - I - YO - KIE - YAY?! We're pretty pumped about that.
Pretty excited for the holidays coming up, too. Maybe I'll have more time to blog once those pass me by. I must say, it is SO easy to get busy and forget to blog...I will try to be better! Just more difficult without the internet at home, but I have ways:)
Hope all are doing well...and you can get up off the floor now. I know I know, shocking that I posted, isn't it;)

Isn't it just so shocking to think that someone so young with so much life ahead of her could be GONE. Just like that. She is the first close friend I have ever lost...and it hurts.
I know I'm not the only person who had the great pleasure of knowing Teena Powell Harris, but all I know is she was a good friend...and I can't wait to see her again someday.
Here's to all you people from FC that I don't talk to every day... the ones I don't get to bump into here in BG... thank you for your friendship then "back in the good ol' days". You are SO loved. At a time like this, I just wish we could all be reunited again. If I had the time I would call each of you up and let you know how much better of a person I am for having known you in my life.
So, here's to Teena...a great friend I had in our short time together on earth. Here's to all of you...may we all take this to heart and learn to live EACH DAY better than the next. Live each day for HIM and not ourselves.
We never know how little time we may have left.

I was blessed to be able to travel to Houston to be with friends who were gracious enough to put me up (or.. put up with me;)...and it was such a blessing to go to Teena's funeral with my dear friend, Katie. Despite the tragic circumstances, it was so nice to be reunited with such good friends.
Thank you so much for letting me stay with you... it was so nice to catch up! And thanks to you for helping me get there on such quick notice:)
It was such a blessing to go...Dee Bowman & Bubba Garner definitely paid a beautiful tribute to our friend, Teena Powell. I just can't wait to see her again someday!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful HUSBAND!
Today Nic turns 23. He’s still younger than I am! Ha, go figure.
Anyhoo… if you get a chance, leave him a message on his blog.
I’m taking him away for the weekend… a much needed break for the both of us! Times like these are so needed when you’re married! I’ve come to find that out.
In other news, Zeus (our new dog!) arrived safely in SC yesterday. We get to pick him up next Saturday – we’re so excited to have our “first child”. J
