Gotta tell you about the wonderful job my cousin Ginger does teaching her two little girls. In Bible class last night, my kids did pretty well saying their books of the Old Testamnet with some help from my mom and I, but Emma (4 years old) and Bethany (just turned 3) knew them perfectly all the way through. We then sang the books of the New Testamnet and they both knew all of those too. Emma the older one, knew all of the answers to the questions I asked the kids although they are not studying the same lessons right now where they attend. And the best of all, when asked if there was a song they wanted to sing, instead of the typical Jesus Loves me or something like that, Emma requested "Here We Are But Straying Pilgrims" and Bethany chose "Faith is the Victory". I was really impressed with how much Ginger has apparently worked wth them to teach them what is important. Moms, teach your kids at home, cause they only come to Bible class twice a week, and they are capable of learning so much so fast if you take the time to teach them.
well i kinda got sick tue. at work and went home and passed out so they took me to the Hospital and i stayed until thur.. so ya i had Thanksgiving in my hospital room :]
What music do ya'll like? I like rock songs that have words. I also like soundtracks from movies like Pirates of the Carribean. A friend gave me an itunes card for my b-day and I'm tryin' to find some good new music. Any suggestions on bands or songs? I like the older bands like Kansas, Yes, and Boston that my brothers listened to, and I like some of lifehouse's songs. Other than that I might hear a song on the radio that i like, but that's about all I've got, so does anybody have anything new for me? =]
P.S. I've found out that the expert level of minesweeper is not impossible... SOMETIMES. I almost won it for the first time a couple of nights ago. BUT, there are some games when I almost get it, but I get to where I have to guess at which one is a bomb, and I guess my unbroken record of losing suggests that I'm not very good at guessing =/. lol
^ me too. but I didn't really know how much I enjoy classical music until I took my music class this semester. I'm sorry that class is coming to an end. I'm not quite as in to Boston ect.. as I am in other bands but they're good. =) I just need more music that I can sing with. Most of the "singing" bands I listen have guy singers or not many girl singers. Okay, I think that pretty much wraps it up for me...for now. =)
I'm feeling a lot better. The swelling's gone down enough that I can eat anything I don't have to chew with my back teeth, lol. I just have to be careful. I'm getting really excited about Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays because it's close to my birthday, so we usually have a birthday cake etc. while a lot of my family is at our house. It's soo much fun! I'm sad cause probably neither of my brothers will be able to be here next friday when it all goes on. Joel might be, though. =] But hopefully we can get with them both soon after. I'm really happy cause my aunt who hasn't been able to come the past couple of years will be here, and all three of her kids and their families will be here, which hasn't happened for a few years. I'm so blessed. Love you guys!!
