I can't believe my baby is one! This year has flown by.

Current Goings on...

Not much new here....still working on our house. When we started this process we were hoping to be in by July 4th and host a cook-out. Then we were hoping for Labor day to host a cook-out. Now, I'll be ecstatic to be in by November for Silas' one year birthday. (can't believe that!) Building a house is so fun and sooo stressful. And it takes soooo long! :)

Here's a current picture of it. The outside is almost finished, I just need to paint the cedar shake and the braces. And we also still need to install the columns in the front and the garage doors. But it's definitely looking like a house now. We've been painting the inside this week and I'm loving the colors!

My parents and sister and her two boys came in town for Labor day. It was a lot of fun. Here's some pics from that...

My dad caught this shot of Silas. I love it!

Silas loves to have his ears touched. It is hilarious, every time I clean his ears he stops whatever he's doing and sits perfectly still as if to savor every moment:) haha Sometimes when he's fussing as he's going to sleep I actually stick my finger in his ear and he calms right down!

Ok Ok enough pitures of just Silas...here's a few with his cousins Kaleb and James...

Oh and I went gold...now I just have to figure out the gallery thing.

4th of July Weekend

We had a great time visiting family and friends in Atlanta this past weekend. We took Silas to the pool for the first time and he had a blast! Here's some pics...

Silas is really a ham. "Whatcha talkin bout Willis?" This is one of his new favorite faces to make. He cracks up laughing when we laugh at him.

He wasn't too sure of the water at first. He loves his bathtime but this water was cold!

Ryan had a great time introducing Silas to the pool. He was a swimmer in High School and loves the water so this was a big deal for him. I've been wanting to take Silas to my girlfriends' pool for a while but have been waiting until Ryan went with us for his first time. So we'll be swimming a lot now!

jbarrx2	We say the same thing. Someone told me that God makes your first one good so that you will keep having more. I told James that we might be pushing our luck when we decide to have another one:-)
someday	We are defiantly going to be at D&K’s for the 4th. I am excited that everyone is coming to our side of town since we can’t leave town. It really makes it nice that we can see everyone and not have to rush home because of the drive. You three are welcome to stay with us, I know we don’t have the room that D&K have but the offer is open.
kristiegore	It went well:) He will hear back in about a weak...I think. He is one out of three being intnerviewed for the position. The position in promising but we're not getting our hopes up yet, I'll let you know what happens.
aj1210	I sent you an e-mail with my phone number. I do have the carseat with me now, so whenever she wants it back, I'll do my best to meet up with her!
someday	It is definitely okay if your parents stay the night. Adam will have to work on that Saturday, but if they want to stay and then we could all meet Adam for lunch that would be nice.
