It's been forever since I was on here, as my new internet socializing is now mainly on facebook. I swore I would never join, but I did. And I can put pics on there much faster. If you're on there, find me! Anyway, I miss pleo so here I am. The boys keep growing, much to my dismay, Carter is almost walking and Noah starts preschool in 2 weeks. I'm sad that we have already reached this milestone but I know he is going to enjoy it. How is everyone? Has Megan had her baby?! I'm so out of touch with the Gville group...
Yes it has been! I'm on Facebook to but you know that. How many days a week will Noah be in pre-school? That will be good for him and you! Carter will get to have you to himself, he will love that.
No baby yet! Glad to see you again. When I post pictures, I load them on to Photobucket, then it creates the information needed to transmit. You just copy and paste on the new Pleo entry. Come back. I'm on Facebook as well, however, it just doesn't have the feel that Pleo has! Like an abbreviated version. Come back. No questsions asked. Glad you are doing well.
Well, I have a long way to go on the flute, I am playing 4th part on most the stuff but it turns out that playing the lowest notes are the hardest to get out! D and C, so hard!
I like both facebook and pleo. I stay pretty low-tech here but go all out on facebook. I can't believe you are at the threshold of preschool either. Wow! I am sure you will be more devastated than he will! Good luck!
Hello to YOU .... I thought you had forgotten all about us already. Hope you all are doing well. The kids are so grown already!! Think of you all often ....
How do you put photos on the comment line? Is there some formula? Hope everyone is having a great day, I am. No particular reason, just in a great mood. The boys are asleep and I'm up here on the computer when I should be getting ready for bed, but I think I overdid it on the caffeine tonight. Anyway, having two boys is such a blessing! Carter is getting cuter by the day and growing too fast. And Noah, well, Scott and I just noticed tonight that he morphed from baby to boy before our eyes and we are suddenly acutely aware of it. He's so grown up! I really want to post some more pics, and I will, as soon as I figure it out.
The lines to this song keep running through my head, so I'll share them-
"Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise.
And when the darkness closes in, Lord,
still I will say
'Blessed be the name of the LORD'"
Whether it's in a post or the comment line, just enter the following code: < img src ="/ pictures/ ----- .j p g ">Take out the spaces and replace the dashes with the room number for the picture you want. If you don't know how to do the rooms let me know! I'm glad you and Scott have such a happy family. :-) I remember WAY back when you guys first met. Good ol' days!
Yeah, we took him in on New Years b/c he had caught Kalee's cold and he had a double ear infection. Well, the med they gave him didn't work and we had to take him back in on Thurs. He was so bad by then they gave him a shot of a supermed and then prescribed a diff med. Well, while on that med his ears got infected again so we took him in on Sun. They gave him another shot of that supermed and another 10 day round of med and wanted to see him again today to check. It's been a LONG couple of weeks! ;-0
So glad to know you are so happy. I just noticed the same thing with Jack looking like a little boy instead of a toddler. Thanks for sharing your song with us. It looks like a new one to me. Maybe Steve will see it on here and teach it to us!
Noah has grown up fast. I remember when he was little and he would rub his head on you when he got all excited, he was such a funny kid. They're both so sweet, I can't wait to see them again:)
Did you just see what I did?!!! I wish I could say that I was smart in the tech area but it's really that Photobucket is so easy to use. Don't use Flickr.
It's been awhile since I last updated, but things are still going great. Carter is now 3 months old and Noah is now 3 years old. They are so cute together, Carter absolutely adores his big bro, and Noah feels the same way. The other day Carter was taking a nap and Noah asked where he was. I joked with him and said "he went back in my belly" and Noah flipped out! Started crying, falling to the floor, a full-out meltdown! I had to take him to see Carter sleeping to calm him down. How mean am I?! In other news, Noah is now potty-trained!!! I have been dreading this for so long and it only took 2 days and he is completely trained. Dry all night even! (Yes, he's 3, so I waited longer than most, but I have no regrets!)
Sorry no new pics, but I got a new camera, and I can't seem to upload any pics from it onto here. Cecile, can you help me?? (since we have the same camera...)
It is great to hear from you!! I'm so glad that you're doing so well!! Sounds like you're adjusting to having 2!! We have been potty training this week!! Mabry's doing pretty well!! I'm glad that I waited too!! She'll be 3 in March!!
I upload my pics to photobucket and then copy and paste the html onto my blog. That is kinda funny with Noah! ;-0 It was good to see you guys. I was always told boys are harder to train than girls but Shad did just like Noah. Kalee has been a nightmare. And I started them at the same age.
Joce I must be as mean as you are, that was HILARIOUS!!! I can see Noah completely losing it. Oh yeah...we're definitely waiting awhile after we're married to have kids...
So funny! BTW - all of mine were over 3 when they were trained. I don't understand the big rush when it so much easier and less stressful when they're a little older. You learned that sooner than I did! I stressed too much with #1 and realized they wouldn't be warped for life if we waited. :)
Joce Joce Joce ... Missing you ... LOVED the phots on facebook ... that Carter is just a doll baby ... and Noah ... I want him to come back to class ... Hope you all are doing well!! I think of you all often!!
Only 2 days? That's great! How did you train him? Ethan will be 3 in a couple of weeks and I'm not sure how to go about it. Any advice would be welcome!
Okay, well you are putting some of us to shame with the potty training! Karys STILL is not potty trained nor does she have a desire to be. I am in Chicago right now, but will be glad to help you post pics once I get back into town next week.
i had the flu/sinus infection for the better half of december which was NOT fun plus being pregnant, but before and since I've been feeling great but tired!
Awesome about the potty training. Well I just hooked up my camera to my computer with the usb cord and then when the box popped up asking what I wanted to do I clicked on the folder icon to open it up. Then I copied the pictures to my computer (using copy and paste). But of course you or your computer could be whacked out (jk!).
thanks for the potty advice. we're making some progress with reese. not sure if he's ready to give up diapers just yet, though. he's 2 1/2, i know he'll get it when he decides he's ready.
Sorry my last post was a little incomplete, but I was (and am) a little sleep deprived. Carter Steven (after his grandpa) was born October 2nd (on mommy's birthday!) weighing in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. He's up to about 8 1/2 pounds now and has a little double chin. He loves to eat! And so far he's a great sleeper. I can't believe he's already 2 weeks old. Noah is so sweet to him. This morning when Noah woke up I was feeding Carter and Noah came over and said "Look at his tiny eyes, his tiny nose, his tiny fingers, he's so cute! I'm going to snuggle him!" Then he kissed him and snuggled up to him. And then he started burping him on his head, so I had to quickly show him where to pat him to get a burp. He's a great helper!
I'll come by soon...I haven't been getting out much lately, I'm making the trips count. I've had a couple interviews but nothing solid yet. I can't wait to meet Carter though! Is it still better to come by in the afternoon? Oh, and I talked to Jessica Johnson tonight and she said she wishes she could've seen you guys when she was down here recently, she wanted to meet Carter. I'm glad Noey's being a good big brother.
Yeah, hang in there and so glad that he is a good sleeper! That REALLY makes a difference. I found that things got SO much better once Titus sat up on his own. He didn't rely so much on me.
Uh yeah, you're forgiven!! I don't remember anything until after 6 weeks with mine b/c I was so tired!! I'm glad his big brother is sweet with him too, that certainly helps!!
I just want you to know that I was thinking of you all on Thursday (Thanksgiving) ... on the way home from church Wednesday night I told Byron that Thanksgiving morning wouldn't be the same because your dad always came out to Papa's house ... it made me miss him really BAD!!
Carter is here! He is so cute all I want to do is kiss and snuggle him! Big brother loves him too, although he has a cold so we are having to kind of keep them apart for now. I'll post more later, but thanks to everyone for the congrats and the birthday wishes!
