i'm back in bowling green after many delays and traffic and getting slightly lost once. its cold here. now i have to keep my head on straight for two more weeks then i go home to work and set myself up for next semester.
I MISSSSSSSSSSSSSS YOU!!!! Come home :) oh and so you know... last night Felicity came running over to me last night and said... "I miss Aunt Valerie" So I'm think you need to hurry up and finish your tests and come home... the midget misses you...
thank you so much for the the kind thoughts and prayers. i pray good things come from dr. darbi's visit to the mayo clinic.
i've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off today. took two breaks: #1 nap, #2 watch heroes. been working to get homework done and pack and all the nice things that go with getting ready for a holiday break. my back aches from all the bending over stuff to put things in my suitcase. by the by, i love my suitcases. bought them at a garage sale for $5 total and got 3 groovy cases. funky green and old leather. pretty cool if i say so myself. back on track. now all that is left is sleep, go to work at 6 am, then park at a friends house and walk to school, go to two classes, then walk back and be driven to the airport where i will wait to be flown to dallas, fly to dallas, land in dallas, meet up with my momma and dad, collect said awesome suitcase, then be driven home to spend some time with my family. well, i have a lot of school work to do, but i'll get some family time as well. plus i get to make cheesecake again! yay! i love cheesecake! so, now i must bid you all adieu!
one of my teachers is very sick. she has a cyst the size of her lemon in her brain, the onset of renal (kidney) failure, some kind of autoimmune disease (not AIDS), and numbness and weakness and little to no strength in her arms and legs. next week, she will be going to the Mayo clinic in Rochester so she can be poked and prodded by a group of specialists and will be there for 2 weeks. she has a 3 year old daughter and husband. although she is not a christian, she is a very nice lady and has really helped me out this semester. she isn't scared about what is happening to her, but there are some pretty scaring things happening none-the-less. she won't get to have a thanksgiving. please pray for her that she is helped and that God does what is best for her. i am praying that she is saved so that she can have a chance at salvation. please keep her in your thoughts.
given her condition, I'm guessing each day is a day of thanksgiving for her... and I'm sure any positive news from all of her tests will result in more joy than any turkey could ever bring. I'll try to remember to keep her in my prayers. Thanks for sharing this news with all of us - so we too can be thankful for how blessed our healthly lives are.
