I just learned how to post a video! 11-11-08 04:54pm CST

notcoolwhat sweet children:-)
hlp696that is so sweet!! i have a feeling we'll be seeing more of them now:)
mother_henYes, they are sweet. Congratulations on learning to post videos!
spotyou're a few steps ahead of me on the video thing! Gram is a little athlete!
missysnappThat was funny. BALL! Ka-pow! Can't wait to get my hands on the Pittman babies. It's going to be a wild ruckus of a time...
ericsgalwhat CUTIES! i love how gram is using his arm for a bat!!! molly's not really reading already?!
hlp696well if we had contracted the whole thing it probably would take about 9 months, but Jason loves to do a lot of things himself so it will probably take at least a year. i am going to try and not get impatient. i know this will save us some money and i am sure we will appreciate it more when we do get finished. it really is exciting!
dhudginsWhat cute grandbabies you have! such fun, isn't it? ;)
kimberlyharbaughIt is ear surgery, one of the little bones in my ear doesn't vibrate anymore so they will take it out and put it a new one. They will cut in from behind my ear but the stiches will desolve. Missy is getting her MRI done and I sure hope she has something fixable.
missysnappI think he totally learned his lesson without my saying one word about it to him. I did ask him if he'd learned anything and he spat out what I was hoping he would just perfectly! :)
missysnappTodd and I laughed at the Brady Drumming video because it looks like something Todd would have done as a small child. He's such a weird kid. Funny. But weird.
kimberlyharbaughThanks, it going great. Grham looks like he is going to be one awesome baseball player.
kimberlyharbaughI bet you are! They are a sweet bunch and I missed them. My hearing is so so much better. Jim likes the volume on the tv way to loud, I never seemed to notice that before. ;)

It was a beautiful day! 10-07-08 08:22pm CST
Don't you love it when the seasons change and it starts to get cooler? I spent all day outside working in my yard moving rocks around etc. but enjoyed it because of the nice breeze and cool weather. You should see all the wildlife we've been seeing since we moved to the country. Lots of deer (even baby fawns), all kinds of birds including wild turkeys, roadrunners, owls, hummingbirds, blue jays, bluebirds, cardinals, woodpeckers, doves, hawks and others we don't know the name of. What an amazing world God made for us!!
God is good!
mother_henBeautiful picture!
kristiegoreI love the country too, I really want to live somewhere where we can have some land and feel like we're in the country. By the way, love the picture of the fall leaves, very pretty.
ex_patThe picture is beautiful!
loisI love this weather too. I sat outside with my dog this morning and ate my yogurt while she ate her dog food!
whatsyourconfessionYes, amazing. God is AWESOME!
hlp696looking forward to being in the country someday myself. i am so glad you enjoying it!
ericsgalit was gorgeous here, too - we had a picnic at the park.

i do the same thing about company! if my house is messy, i just call a few friends to come over and it's amazing at how fast i can get things cleaned up before they get here. i was just thinking we need to have people over to our new house so i can get the rest of these boxes unpacked!
whatsyourconfessionI've actually forgotten about the money! Did you find my pink water cuppie thingy? I'd rather have that.:)
whatsyourconfessionYOU are amazing!
whatsyourconfessionPraying, tell me how it went!
sabrinaruckelWild turkeys? crazy! See if you can catch one for thanksgiving!!

imaprettypenguinThank you, I'm sure we will! I am getting more excited and more anxious! I am losing my mind right now. So much to do and think about. LOL But I am ready to get out there and learn and see new things. Thank you!

I've been hit!! Go on without me. :) 09-28-08 09:13pm CST
Actually I've been tagged by my daughter. Hold on to your hats because I'm really a wild and crazy lady with a interesting life. ;) jk

1. Believe it or not, I was a skinny tomboy growing up and the doctor even suggested that I drink shakes before bed to gain weight. I used to think if I could only gain 10 pounds I'd be happy.

2. I was athletic in jr hi and was in Jr Olympics. I ran hurdles, 50 yard dash, high jump and could jump 6 feet in the standing broad jump. I even won a few ribbons for 1st and 2nd place.

3. I used the same hot roller set for 30 years and only had to replace the cord. I recently threw it away when I moved.

4. Our next door neighbor has a wolf as a house pet which has shown up in our yard twice. (She's a dog trainer)

5. I see faces in lots of things. Like marble surfaces, wallpaper, etc. (no, I don't hear voices)

6.For several years I was into making stained glass.

7.I now live in the country but am 5 min from Walmart, 8 min from Target and 12 min from the mall.

8. Contrary to the opinions of other grandparents, I do have the 7 cutest grandkids in the world.

I'm tagging my funny friend. :)

sabrinaruckeli didn't know it was your birthday! I need to pink sheet more. You know, I used to drink shakes before bed to try to gain weight too. I was ever so pleased in college when my weight finaly had 3 digits.
notcool If you go to edit weblog you can edit friends. There are options on the right to move a friend up or down. The colors are more complex. I can show you when I'm over there.
ericsgalwe are looooooving our new house, loving getting to see the stars at night, and seeing beautiful nature out the windows and everything being nice and quiet. not loving all unpacked boxes and junk everywhere, but that will come. mattiejo weighs 7 lbs now! are y'all all settled in at your new place?
mother_henThanks! (I wasn't going to the beach this year). But I'll try to have a good day anyway. :) I'm meeting my sister for lunch in Hempstead today.
adnerbThey each went on a trip in the summer after their 9th grade years with a group called People to People. Pres. Eisenhower started it more than 50 years ago. They were gone about 3 weeks each. POLITICS 08-29-08 12:49pm CST
I'm one of the least political people you could meet, but I do have some opinions about how things should be, and I try to base every opinion on the Bible. I'm praying every day that God helps us choose the right leader for our country.

What is your opinion on women in leadership positions such as Sarah Palin, the possible Vice President nominee?
______
How do you think I Cor. 11:3 fits into this question?
"But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."

Open for discussion:

shutterflyOh My!!! This will be interesting!!
notcoolI don't know for sure how I fee about a woman holding that office. Interesting choice though. I saw a PBS documentary about Alaskan oil and she was on it. I think he is trying to get Hilary's votes and get some attention. Obama will still win.
mladymanI think Palin has a real good chance of becoming president, as McCain is 72 years old, and the President's job is very, very stressful.
blueeyesI am amazed that somebody with five kids would have time to run for office! I can hardly keep up with my two! I must be a whimp! :)
kemosabeVery blustery and stormy looking. Interesting, but not rainy. This afternoon there was crazy wind. I am praying for people in LA.
mecI think we should be thinking conservative and McCain/Palin ticket is that especially right to life. Reagan on his second term in office was older than McCain ages is not the issue. She appears to be common sense, realistic if you ask me something the government could really use instead of wasteful spending and raising taxes that lead to more wasteful spending. Let's be realistic most Presidents going into office have had no experience as President. Palin does have executive experience more then Obama.
blueeyesI think they do.
blueeyesGlad I was able to help! Hope you all are doing well!
sabrinaruckelYou know she can't be spending as much time with her kids as a parents should. I saw the second half of her speech - I liked it.
melissakaelol... he was way too old to be a twin. Maybe an uncle. :-)
ex_patCan you please email me three recipes that we can put in the FC cookbook. We are in much need of recipes and people to donate by the end of the month. Thanks so much. My email address is on my blog.
whatsyourconfessionHey, I guess I really need to pick up the phone and call you to update! Love you soooooo much!
sisco_mccuistionHi Carol! It's so good to connect with you again! I plan to "winter" in Texas starting in late October. I'll be staying with Laura in Arlington. Guess you could say I'm retired now...whatever that means :)!! I looked at pics of your 7 grandkids. They are all adorable! I have 8...5 boys & 2 girls! I'm truly blessed too!!
sisco_mccuistionMath has never been my strong point! :) SIX boys...two girls! I will post pics when I get more familiar with how this Pleonast thing works!
kristiegoreI think she'll be the best thing that's happened to this country in awhile. I have no problem with women in a "boss"/leadership role in the work force.
imaprettypenguinI think anything is better than Obama. I don't it scares me, but I guess my grandparents have talked enough and have put the fear in me. LOL And thank you so much for your offer to help! I told Kelley too that relatives..like my grandparents that just moved here, they would watch them longer but they aren't able to keep up with them. But they can come get them for a day orsomething like that. We will have to get together over the next couple of months! Thanks again!! Love you!
mother_henI know -- we were the youngest couple for a while. But hung around with all of you old thirty-somethings!
sisco_mccuistionIt's actually been a great day!
tortillasign of the times! obama scares me, though and there are so many brain-washed people who love him for ... not really sure! it's been pretty eventful without you here this week! ;/
shutterflyWe won't leave until after you get back!!!
loisThey live in Baytown.
dmvI, personally, don't believe there is anything wrong with a woman holding a "leadership position" God is the one who appoints our presidents however...HE is also the one who appointed Deborah as a Judge over Israel... :)
shutterflyThank you so much! Please remember to pray for us also.
ex_patPlease email me (email address on my home page) a dedication, thought or scripture that you would like put on the dedication page of the cookbook. We are also encluding camp directors etc. Thanks. Recipes too. Email them to me and I will put them in for you. Thanks.

WOW!!! 08-09-08 03:38pm CST
Did you see the Olympic Opening Ceremonies!?! That was amazing! To think of the work, time and money that went into it is mind boggling. I've only watched part of it so far, but I sat there with my mouth hanging open. :O
I love to hear the inspiring stories behind the athletes. Makes me want to go out and do something important. I know being a Christian is doing something very important, but I know I could do soooo much more. (As a Christian, I mean)

2thehiltJay and I were jumping out of our seats at 11:45 last night when those guys came from behind to win, trying not to yell out, since the kids and Jay's mom and dad were esleep.
