Today I went along with my dad and his buddy to a dining excursion to Snook, TX (about 10 miles from College Station). We went there with the primary goal of going to Sodalak's Country Inn and trying their creation: Chicken Fried Bacon. It was served as an appetizer and it was not as greasy as one might expect. It was real crisp and the batter on it was a bit flaky. It was dipped in cream gravy (as all things chicken fried must be). So now I bring to the floor the subject of culinary adventures. What are some of the more amazing things you have tried and would like to share with the group?
P.S. I also saw Ratatouille yesterday for the first time, so that might have something to do with it.
There are several places I have been wanting to try around here, but haven't had time. I am going to try this recipe (Atomic Bull Turds) this week, I will let you know how it turns out.
I am finally in Houston. The house closed without a hitch. Hopefully I will be enrolled in school without a hitch. In the meantime I've done quite a bit of diddley with just a touch of squat. I will be looking for a part time job that does tuition reimbursement (UPS,FedEx,etc.) Today I helped tear down wallpaper with my family to feel useful. That's about it for me.
Yes, that was was me. You reminded me that I'm suppose to facebook you and your friends. Isn't Mrs. Freeman hilarious? She was cracking me up all weekend!
I finally got an offer on my house! And its not too far off from my original asking price. Hopefully everything will go smoothly with the closing. I'm looking forward to the two week notice!
Their website says that "Ray & Laura Lewis have both been writing great songs for a total of over 40 years!" And their artistic choice to include classic animation of barnyard animals is second to none.
This Memorial Day weekend I went to Atlanta for my cousin Erin's wedding. Erin's older sister, Carrie, is about a month older than me and her and her husband have 3 kids, a seven year old girl, Drew, and twin five year olds named Alli and Evan. Soon after I arrived I plotted to get the kids to help me meet some girls. I offered to Alli that if she would be my date in order to help me find a wife I would let her be the flower girl. Well, upon hearing the word "date" she wanted nothing to do with me the rest of the visit. I didn't expect to get much help from Evan, who proceeded to hit and kick as he tried to size me up. Eventually he wanted me to carry him, so I let him in on my ploy. I asked him if he could help me find some chicks. He had a puzzled look on his face and my mom asked him "Do you know what chicks are?". He shook his head no and I told him that chicks were pretty girls. He seemed to know exactly where to go, so I let him down as he brought me to his mother, my cousin, Carrie. I found this to be very sweet and disturbing at the same time. Then I proceeded to explain the other stipulations, being that they cannot already be married and that they cannot be related to me. Since he didn't know any other women that fell into that category, we called it a night. I'm going to have to train Eli to be a much better wingman than his second cousin.
Even though I was there to witness it, I still love hearing the story. In fact, I have already told it to a few people myself. What you need to do is let him take pictures of ladies with your camera phone and then follow him around and "apologize" to the ladies. He asked me if he could take a picture with my phone, and when I got it back, he had taken 75 pictures. It was lovely to see you, cousin.
lol...how cute!! You might have something there if he likes taking pics; 75 would be a major selection...lol ! Good luck Obi Wan with the training of young Padawan.
