Reasons to hate Christmas this year:
traffic
the economy=yuck
first year without my father-in-law
adam has to work christmas eve and christmas night
i'm not happy with my boss AT ALL
Reasons to love Christmas this year:
i get to see my niece and nephew open presents
i have the most wonderful husband in the world
we are lucky enough to have jobs and a home
i made some pretty awesome cookies :)
only 3 weeks until our mini-vacation!
sometimes i find it hard to believe that i graduated high school almost 6 years ago and that i've been out of college for 2 years. it really hits home when i see "kids" driving around with Senior '09 written on their cars. it makes me feel so OLD! yeah yeah, i'm only 23 and it's not like i would EVER want to go back to high school, but it's still weird to me that i have a husband, a house, and a career. i just never thought i'd be where i am by the time i was 23. but i am very blessed. something else i've been thinking about lately is how many people i know that are getting divorced. some people i went to high school with got married soon after graduation and are already getting divorced. one couple that got married only 2 months before me is calling it quits! don't get me wrong, i'm not judging because it's not my place, but it just makes you think about how often it happens and how lucky i am to have someone who would never see divorce as an option. marriage is work but it's worth it! well i guess i'm just feeling nostalgic today...
how can gas prices go up 30 cents in 6 hours?! seriously! you know it's bad when the workers at the gas station are having to stand outside and direct traffic at the gas stations! i just hope they go back down before wednesday because i am driving to nashville that day. my best friend, who i haven't seen since my wedding, is coming here for a few days next week. i'm so excited! i didn't get a vacation this summer so i'm taking a couple days off of work to spend time with her while she's here. so that will be my vacation even though i'm not going anywhere (except to nashville to pick her up from the airport). well, other than that, nothing really exciting is going on. just the normal work craziness. well adam is about to leave for work so i have to go pack his lunch for him--haha.
Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated. Mostly because my laptop isn't working and I've had to use Adam's computer for everything. That means I have to wait until at least 9:30 at night until he wakes up so that I can come upstairs and use the computer. It's definitely a little annoying. Work has been insanely busy lately, but in a good way. We are actually working on opening a center in the near future and we've been searching for buildings and writing a ton of paperwork. I wrote the entire employee handbook! It took forever! It's really exciting though. I'm almost done with school for a while too. I take my final next week and then I am going to study for my board certification test that's in March. My brother in law is finally back from Iraq so we're all really relieved about that. Adam's dad's will is going to get finished up next month so we will finally have that behind us. Tomorrow is Adam's 27th birthday and I'm more excited than I was for my own birthday! I have a lot of surprises for him and I'm very proud of myself for not giving them to him too early. I've never been very good at keeping a surprise a secret for very long. Haha! Well I should probably get some work done even though it's already 10:30pm.
hey! it's going alright i suppose. lately she's been pitching a fit when i sit her on the potty, so today should be interesting. she did fine the first 3 days though! how have you been lately?
I canNOT believe you're married! I know its sad but I totally didn't know! ha but thanks for the good wishes...I think I'm gonna do just fine :) I hope you're doing wonderfully!
We made it! I can't believe it's been a whole year. Although it was a really tough year, we stayed together and became stronger because of it all. I can't wait for many many more anniversaries!
