How do you my model pose with my hair in wind? :)
I figured it was time for some pictures and updates on the girls.
They are....drum roll........ POTTY TRAINED!! Can you believe it? What a milestone.
They know their ABCs, can count to 20(with a little help),learning how to recognize the alphabet and numbers on paper, we are working on our primary colors.
It is fun to watch them learn and grow. I didn't know they could learn these things so early. I am very excited about it. I am searching for ideas and more learning tools for this age. So if you have any suggestions or websites please let me know.
Our Church services struggles are still difficult but I have learned to just accept it as another milestone. I have tried to incorporate several sit down quiet times at home through out each day hoping that it will help train them to sit through services better. Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement.
As of this weekend... we have fought our first cold of winter. Luckily, it is very mild. Just a low fever and runny nose.. and one tired momma from staying up late 3 nights in row.... building immune systems one cold at a time!

One of my dearest friends is getting married today. She truly means a lot to me. I love her very much! It is breaking my heart that I will not be there today. So, I wanted to dedicate this blog to her. If you'd like please some advice or best wishes ...
Let her know that dreams really do come true with God on our side.. :) She knows that I am sure but it couldn't hurt to remind her and everyone else.
I love you Amanda and I hope everything turns out the way you planned it today. |

I think I am actually feeling to threat of the terrible twos. My girls are really giving me harder times these days. They want their way and they want it now. I think they have actually started talking back to me. Every time ask one of them to come to me or to pick up a toy (etc.) immediately, " no mommy, not want to pick up toy." Especially, the potty training stuff. ... I'll say, " Okay girls, let's go potty." And immediately I get back "no potty, not want potty momma." They have also picked up on fighting with each other. I have to really watch them. They are slapping and kicking each other. Most of the time they play well together but all of the sudden I'll catch a girl hitting the other for a toy or something. Oh... and at Church... it is beginning to be a nightmare. I feel like I am center of attention having to get up and take the girls to back. This happens like 5 times a service. Afterwards, I feel like the room is spinning. I bet I have this look of fret on my face. I feel like I discipline and discipline and .... it is just not working. AH.... I know it takes time. I am really being consistent on my discipline. It just seems like it is just getting tougher. Do they grow out of some of this stuff or is it all me (discipline)? Oh.. I am trying the time out chair this week. Do I need supernanny? :) Is this terrible twos or just testing kids?
Welcome to motherhood, right?

Yesterday one of those days...
It began good... I had to mail out a lot of packages for Ebay(great right). It took most the morning to get the packages ready and I went ahead and weighed them and paid for them through paypal. I usually use bubble envelopes but I ran out so I used priority boxes. I believe there were about 7 boxes. So I loaded the girls up and headed out the door. When I got to the post office I pulled the stroller out of the back of the truck and realized it was soaking wet and very dirty. Great! What i am going to do now. It was impossible to make it into the post office with both girls and 7 boxes without the stroller. So I wiped it down the best I could and loaded it up. (insert complaining girls.. ooo.. wet mommy... wet.. yuck). About 10 yards and two double doors later I was standing at the front desk. both girls are crying and screaming by this time, "want out mommy, want out mommy." I handed the packages to the clerk and she said that couldn't take four of them b/c I had packaged them in a priority box with a first class label on it. ( AHH!!) By now my head was kind of spinning b/c the girls were still whaling at me to get out to the stroller. So I then loaded the boxes back up and headed to the park where I was going to meet my sister for lunch. At the park, the girls were still incredibly difficult. They were so excited to be there, they wouldn't sit and eat. They kept sneaking off to the play area, one would run one direction and the other would run the other. AND... to top it all off... when I sat down I realized I had one brown flipflop on and one black one on. :) hehe
I know this may not seem that bad... but it was a little overwhelming to me. I have had much worse.. but I just thought I give those other mommies out a laugh or two. What would have top of this off ... fill in the blank.. :) |
