So I must say that this semester has absolutely FLOWN by. At first things were going pretty slowly, but then it seems like I just blinked my eyes a couple times and it is already over! I survived my first semester of college, thankfully. My spiritual life has been strengthened immensely since I have moved up here and I have a feeling it will only continue to be strengthened. I have met some awesome friends in the past few months that have helped/are helping me conquer the giants in my life. Satan truly does wait to attack when you are at your weakest point, but it is our job as children of GOD to reach out our hand and help bear each others burdens. I am learning to see God work in my life and it is absolutely amazing. I cannot tell you how thankful and blessed I am to be in Bowling Green. God has a plan for everything! I also have really enjoyed being a part of the track team this semester...okay so not so much at first - the work outs are SO hard, but my dad & katie told me to hang in there and things would get better... and guess what?! things are going pretty fantastic and i love it! We had our first meet on the 6th & it was really cool to compete at a college level...There were so many talented people there! One of my goals is to give HIM the glory in all that I do... sometimes it is SO easy to take all the credit for success, but really NONE of it would be possible without our Lord and Savior. I hope everybody has a very safe and happy holiday season!

Does anybody have any prayer requests?
-Please remember to keep Keena and her family in your prayers. She is a close family friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
-Pray for safe traveling during the holidays.
-Keep the soldiers in your thoughts and prayers... & their families also.
-Pray for the spiritually weak
-Don't forget to thank the Lord for all the things that He has blessed you with! Sometimes we get so caught up with the things of life that bring you down and we forget ALL about the blessings He has given us!
So... Today is my 19th birthday... It is so crazy to think that this is now my last year of being a teenager! It seems like just yesterday I was SO excited about turning 11 on 11/11! My family never heard the end of it that year... & of course there is the sweet 16 limo ride to Olive Garden! and driver's license - then turning 18... driving to school with my mom's glittery posters hung up on random stop signs leading me to school. and now i am in Bowling Green and loving every second of it! So here is how the celebrating began... Friday night I was supposed to go to a Halloween party with Katie and some friends, but it got cancelled.... So i called Katie to make sure she knew that there wasn't a party and she said that she was still having some people over and I could come if I wanted to... So i was like oh okay sweet! So after class, 2 practices, and sitting in the ice tank, i got ready and hung out with Jason for a little bit... So i'm sitting at the park eating a Roast Beef Cheddar Melt from Arby's(umm... you can get 4 for $5... Very delicious.) and my phone rings... it's KATIE! (no that really is what it says when she calls) so I answered and she said that everyone got there early and they were about to eat so i told her to go ahead and I'd be on my way! oh and that i would eat again, haha. So Jason takes me to Katie and Joel's... I knock and open the door, then my ears get blasted and my heart stops because of some crazy party horns blaring and all my friends yelling "SURPRISE!!!" UM Katie planned a surprise party for me!!! I was so so excited! I have never had a surprise party and i really was surprised! I had absolutely NO idea! I thought we were just going to watch some episodes of 30 Rock or catch up on some SNL, but nopeee! So they sang happy birthday to me... which was hilarious and i had a PINK cake with PINK icing and PINK presents!!! They are so sweet... OH and we played games! & watched 30 Rock, then I guess I fell asleep cause I woke up on their couch the next morning, haha. ANyways, so yes, by far my birthday has been an amazing one so far. I am so blessed and so thankful to have such wonderful friends. Yesterday, my roommate had a lil party i guess for me-we ate cupcakes and watched the master of disguise last night! we laughed quite a bit...:) oh and I can't forget to thank everyone for all the text messages... i have been getting them pretty much non-stop since 5:02 this morning! I feel so loved! Haha, well, I better get ready for running practice. I hope all is well with everyone. I love you all :) OH and i can't forget this... in the card that Katie and Joel gave me, um I just want you to know that Lassie did indeed sign my card. I adore them.
WOOT!! Jamie told me you txt her - I tried calling, but she wouldnt answer her phone! GA is crazy busy as usual - ready for the holidays so we can relax some. If you are coming home - PLEASE call or txt so we can hook up while you are here!
So at church yesterday there were four different speakers and each of them spoke about a different passage/topic... thought I'd share a little of what they had to say :)
In Matthew 6:25-34, we are told not to worry. v 34 kind of sums it all up... "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Kory was talking about how often times we get so wrapped up in our "to do lists" and we stress about things we need to do or HAVE to get done hours, days, weeks, or even months ahead... when in all reality we need to be focusing on how we can be more like Christ right in this moment. We just need to TRUST in Him, PRAISE Him, and GLORIFY Him throughout our day and GOD will provide! Nathan was talking about how we often get so wrapped up in the little things of the world that we don't NEED... for example cable TV. His point was that we need to sacrifice the things that keep us from serving the Lord. We do not need to let the material things of the world to interfere with our relationship between you and God! Adam's point was that we need to search out things that will bring you closer to God... We often search out temporary things, when Jesus, whom is permanent, is searching US out! And the last main point was from Nate... He said that food and fleshly things are NOT the things that are keeping us alive, but rather partaking in the body and blood of Jesus Christ our SAVIOR.
Also, please pray for my mom's best friend, Keena, who was diagnosed with intestinal cancer... She has three young children and an amazing husband and I would imagine things are very hard for them right now.
My HOPE is found. HE is my Light, my Strength, my Song...♥
God wants you to lean on Him when things don't go well. If you think about it, your heaviest prayer time is when things aren't going so well. Maybe that's God's way of getting close to you when you stray away during good times.
If you need help, ask God. If you don't, thank Him♥
I hope all is well with everyone :) I got back to Bowling Green safely, it was really good to see family and I had fun, but it is definitely great to be back here.
yeah they do! =) coach ming always asks about you! But the work load isnt to bad, i've got a bigger handle on it this year than last! But homework does add up sometimes! But other than that i'm good!! =D
