All sarcasm aside... There is a certain sense of freedom that comes from being poor. I don't have to bother with shopping for clothing... (which is in my top 5 things I hate to do) Meal selections are easy. Even the recreational ideas get streamlined...
I am beyond wealthy in the things that matter. My daughter and son are both reasonably health. My family is wonderful, giving and funny. To quote a song, "My God is an awesome God!!!" I have my brothers and sisters both in Tualatin and Beaverton... I have the ability to speak up and tell people that I am a Christian without fear of persecution.
I am blessed... Even if my job is gone tomorrow, I will still have the things that I love.
HAha, we are nowhere with baby names. We have one that is in the lead right now, but that could change. I think it'll be a while before we name this poor girl. :)
By Beautiful Sisters in Christ... I am so excited to see everyone and catch up... I think we should meet on Thursday the 20th sometime between 6:30 and 7:00. I like my sister Kat's idea of meeting at the coffee shop that Kiki works at. As it is so close to the holidays, lets all bring in a holiday treat recipe on a paper and I will photo copy them all and make a slightly unattractive holiday treat cookbook for everyone! Just a though- if anyone has a beter idea I would love to hear it... Besides, it will give us a reason to meet again soon!!
I can't tell you how much I love you all and am so excited to see such amazing women!
Oh- and if you can't make it (cause you are going to a certain movie!) for whatever reason, I still want to include you so email me a receipe and I will try not to screw it up too bad.
You're so sweet! I'm sad I'll miss seeing you (and everyone else). You'll just have to plan another one! :) I will look through my recipes and email one to you.
Are any of my beautiful sisters out there interested in a coffee house get together? I miss all my friends from Beaverton. Of course that does include my TV sisters also. I want to maybe meet for coffee one day next week after work and catch up. Seeing Carrie Willis Saturday was such a treat that it made miss want to visit will the rest of the gang. I'm thinking A Beaverton Starbucks next week in the evening. Let me know.
I don't think I can make Thurs. evening. :( I think I have lost my mind, but Hayley and I are planning on going to see a midnight premiere movie that night and need to be in line way earlier than that. Ugh. I think I'm too old for this, but I am willing to do it once anyway. Let me know if you do coffee again!
Yes, that's what we're seeing! I'm actually getting excited. I just don't like the anticipation/anxiety of waiting in line to get a seat. We'll have our tickets already, but I'd rather not sit in the front row!
I am so proud of my daughter, Shaina... She has made a very mature decision. Today we are giving her dog Happy to a lovely gal who has a Jack Russell terrier already, a farm with horses and tons of room to run. We both love Happy very much, but Shaina wants her to have a place to run and play. What a great daughter I have!
