5) Turning off the lamp just before going to bed.

4) Dm chord on a classical guitar.

3) Cathedral bells.

2) Opening a soda can or bottle.

1) Laughter. Not the creepy, maniacal kind, though.

hotlantamom	Elementary aged children singing, and water rushing over the rocks in a shallow stream.
thehandoftheking	The sound of a golf ball falling into the cup is one.
thehandoftheking	Oh, after reading your first commenter's note: the sound river stones knocking together.
gamomma	My kids laughing, the chorus at the elementary school singing (we just got home from a performance at the Publix holiday open house), and the children calling their dad when they need something!
sjbgurl	The ocean and crickets/cicadas chirping at night during the summmer
thehandoftheking	Oh, probably my favorite is to hear an airplane droning overhead in the afternoon. It is a lazy, peaceful sound.
mray	Haha. Matt just keeps goin'.... I like the sound of a metal chain when you swish it in bball. Also, a typewriter or any typing..
lydiasmother	giggle of a child, Lydia nursing, a harley getting ready to take off, harmony of a hymn, crackling of a fire, ice skates on ice, and the sound when my mom used to mix my hot chocolate(the spoon against the side of the cup) when I was a child, rushing water.

Stuff That's Happened Within the Last Month

He did awesome at the FC Talent Show.
Psi Beta girls are kickball champs!!!!
Ran meets at Melbourne, Daytona Beach, and Disney World. I've done fine this season considering I hardly ran this summer, but I wish I could run like back in the glory days of junior year.
Visited Melbourne and Daytona Beaches. Caught some good waves on da boogie board.
Won a horse head on a stick at the lyrics contest at my Psi Beta Beach themed meeting. I know my Beach Boys and Bob Marley.
Sang "God Bless America" with a group from chorus at a fancy schmancy dinner.
Was elected Freshman Class Vice President. Exciting stuff, I was pretty suprised.
Called a few strangers and her parents at Phone-A-Thon, FC's telesoliciting program.
Had tests in every class.
Skipped a class to finish a paper (gasp!)
Got my passport for Italy this Christmas.
Dropped my guitar off at Guitar Center to get it fixed. I have yet to get it back. So I bought a harmonica last night to pass the time.
Had dinner with Chase, Evan, and a friend of the Accettura's, John Shirley. Really nice guy- and that was my first Mexican meal since I've been down here. I miss it so much. It's not that they don't have Mexican down here, I just don't get out much.
Helped out with Falcon Days by being on the Student Panel and "mingling" at dinner. Loved it.

Volunteered at the Temple Terrace Fire Department Open House. Kaitlin and I rocked that puppet show!
Had a Georgia Camp reunion party at Kelly's complete with Catchphrase, pizza, Arkansas Camp 2005 video, and Rock-a-Doodle. What a blessing!
Downloaded Skype to talk with my folks
Didn't make the fall play. But it was fun trying out.
Went to Downtown Disney last night since we ran at the Wide World of Sports this morning. Crazy cool.
Joanna sent me a "Flat David" her version of a Flat Stanley. I have until the beginning of November to take pictures and write back.
Tomorrow ZACH AND SARAH ARE COMING!!!!! They're staying until Tuesday.
Thursday's fall break. I cannot come home because I have a cross country meet that Friday but MY FOLKS ARE COMING THAT DAY to watch me and stay through Sunday afternoon. I cannot wait to have someone take care of me, because I'm tired of taking care of myself. Independence is SO overrated.
Then it's just 5.5 weeks until Thanksgiving break. I can so do that.

hotlantamom	By the way, we were at the Citrus Bowl from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Long day. John's band placed 8th out of 18 bands. They were just happy to make the finals. They were please considering this is only their 2nd year to compete.

I'll write more later, maybe this weekend. Zach and Sarah are coming on Sunday, and my folks are coming the following Friday, so I think I can hang in there.

So this could come back to haunt me...

1) Yo puedo decir con confidencia que yo hablo espanol. Hablo un poco despacio, pero estoy mejorando.

2) I dislike bubble gum. A whole lot. And pretty much every other chewing gum for that matter. Mint flavored is okay. And I really hate it when people stick their turquoise, mangled chewing gum on the edge of their lunch tray- seriously, are they going to commence chewing once lunch is over? Grody!

3) I've never seen any Batman, Superman, or James Bond movies. And I've only seen the first Spiderman. And the third X-Men. And I've only seen Star Wars once.

4) I won the middle school Geography Bee in sixth grade. Then I took a test and advanced to the statewide level. Then they never had it again at my school.

5) I don't have my driver's license. And I'm 18. And I had to renew my permit last fall because it expired. Now I won't have to renew it until 2011.

6) I had a mole removed from inside my belly button when I was 16. I still can't figure out why I even thought to look there in the first place...

7) I brush my teeth with my left hand on my hip.

8) My mom rocked me to sleep until I was 12.

lydiasmother	Tis funny about the license, cause I hated when I had to get my license, I let my temp expire 2 times! yeah I am not sure I saw the inside of my belly button till I was preg. LOL
dixiechick	Okay, the Batman, Superman, and Star Wars issues need to be resolved. I've only seen 1 James Bond movie, and when The Quantum of Solace comes out, I will have seen 2. I hated the first Spiderman and the third X-Men. Do not see Batman and Robin-a complete waste of time. I didn't get my driver's license until I was 18. My parents wanted me to get it before I went to FC.
