Bruce and I had a lovely time visiting with our daughter, and family for the holidays. To day is our wedding anniversary. 36 years today. Why did we get married the day after Christmas. Well he was away at collage (Waco) It was season break, so we took all the time he had off from school. It was convent then, but its not now. We are alway to full of rich foods from the holidays to want to eat out, so we just wait about a week to celebrate. We also share our wedding anniversary with Gary and Ruth Ray.
We went to the light festival last night. This is our second year to go. Its in a park, by the bayou. There is a lot more to see than what I posted. Well worth going to.
kool photos.
thanks so much for your prayers.
it has been a great comfort having sarah, nathan, and kaelyn close by, but i hate that nathan is so far from his loved ones. i pray about it alot.
They are actually about $6-$7 or more if you add extras like grilled onions, bacon, jalapenos, etc .... but so worth it! They call them Hundred $ hamburgers because people fly in to eat there!
If you ever get the chance to call Kenneth and Wilena Cato in Dickinson. They are on Maple St. across from the Bayou Park. They are dear fellow saints that are going to League City. If you can encourage them I would deeply appreciate it.
What did you do this week end? I painted the last room that needed painting, from a purplie/ blue (is that a word) to beige. Not that the purplie/blue was a bad color, but it was very bold. Thurs. I painted Kills all over the walls. Fri pm started painting. Finished let it dry, and Sat. decided it needed another coat of paint. Glad thats over with!! I have been told that a house would sell better if in neutral colors. We are working on getting the house up for sale, and using to money to rebuild on our property in Alvin. Home Depot is coming Tue. to measure for carpet . We still have several small projects to finish before putting it on the market. I know economy is down, and market may not be good for selling, but we don't have to sell, so can wait to get our price.
I am so sorry to hear about Johnnie. The nice thing about my memory (no comments from the peanut gallery) I still think of him with Murial, and Claude and Roddia are still together. (that is what I always called them. I even said that in their presence once and they laughed.
Most of the local people know that I have a new puppy. A Scottish terrier. Her name is Abby. She is close to 7 mo old now. I got her last month, about 10 days after the hurricane came through. She is a bundle of energy. I call her my energizer bunny, because she never gets tired of playing. She loves to play fetch. We can watch a 2 hour movie on tv, and the whole time we are throwing one of her toys, and she brings it back to us. I think she is beautiful. I have always liked Scotty's and have had one most of my life.
As Rebekah posted on her site. We had Kami for the week end, so Becky and Pat could have some "alone" time. Fri we kind of hung around the house, and played with her toys, and watched a movie, before bed time. Sorry Mom I did let her stay up to late that night.
Sat. one of the schools of Friendswood had a festivle to raise money for the school. They has several of the moon walks and we took Kami to play on them. The first one consisted of three, and was an obsticle course. I knew it was "too much' for Kami to do alone. I asked the lady taking tickets if Grampa could go with her on it. They said sure! Well Grampa with his all ready worn out body, good naturedly went with her. The other kids loved it and "beat him up' with the palm trees. I have to admit I even felt sorry for him, but he loved it.
Later that day the Blue Angles from the air show was flying by and over our house, for the air show at Ellington air base. We set out in the park behind us watching the jets fly over. Kami thought they were to loud. I stayed at the park with her and let her play awhile. We met a little girl and her Mom and Kami had a good time playing with her, while I visited with Mom. Sunday after Church, we stayed around the house, while Grandpa took his nap.alt="Photobucket">
Kami loves to play DR. She is a mean one too. All she can think about is giving me shots. I told her before, that she had given me so many shots, that if I was to get a drink, it would all leak out of me from all of those shots! She looked at me like 'Really"
I have some pictures I took this weekend. If I can ever figure out how to post them I will. I saw on Sara's post that she uses photo bucket. I opened that up and downloaded some pictures, but I don't know how to take them from there to here. Can anyone help?
When your picture is downloaded to Photobucket, you will see several rectangles below the picture. If you click on the one that reads "HTML Code," it will automatically copy it. Then in your post, put the cursor where you want the picture and hit CTRL V (or possibly the "Insert" key on your keyboard.) You should see the "address" posted, then when you finish the post and are ready to look at it, the picture should show up in your post. I hope that works for you! One tip: I open an extra Internet explorer for the Photobucket, so I can copy from that and go right back to Pleonast to insert the picture.
It sounds like you had a wonderful time with Kami!
Well that worked, thanks Anne. Now how do you put your pict in the top corner? I tried editing the web blog , and doing as you said above, but it didn't work
Before you download pictures, you can choose a smaller size by looking below the "Choose files" area, to "Reduce to:" There are several options available. For most pictures on my blog, I choose "Large", which really isn't all that big. But it helps people on slower computers not to have such big pictures in our posts. I love Kami's outfit...she looks so pretty!
Nice! That is a GREAT picture! Reading your "unique-ness" below. Who could forget "My One Eyed Love" or "Diarhea, I just kissed a girl with Diarea..." And I insist on you two coming up for a winter wonderland one fine day. We will keep you warm and take you to a place only a few miles away for a sleigh ride pulled with Clydesdales.
