Tonight Hope went to bed at about 7:15. She had no nap today and she was exhausted. Don't get too excited, she did not go down without a fight. We went to brush her teeth and she decides to be difficult and keep her thumb in her mouth. We finally get her teeth brushed. She then decides to have a spell. She proceeds to roll around on the ground and tell us she wasn't tired as she cries all the way to the bedroom. She was asleep within 5 minutes of her head hitting the pillow. I told Brandon he could stay up a little later tonight so he could watch a little bit of football. I was in the kitchen watching him. Little boys just can't sit and do anything. The whole time he was up he was doing flips over the couch. This went on for about an hour. I told him it was time for bed so we go to brush his teeth but not before he gets on the big orange bouncy ball that was in our bedroom and does some kind of flip on that. We get his teeth brushed and then he needed some milk. I get his milk and he had to do a Karate move between the island and the stove. We then start walking to his bedroom and he has to flip onto his bed. I think he probably did about 50 flips between 7 and 8pm. After all this was over I decided to sit down, drink a Dr. Pepper, eat a smore and read my current WEIGHT WATCHERS magazine. It has some really good ideas. Maybe one day I will put them to use.
you are such a kindred spirit. I did have some caffeine, just not DP. Starbucks has a new fruit chai and I bought it! At first it tasted weird. Now I love it.
Brandon and Hope always come up with some very insightful prayers but the prayers tonight are worth telling.
Hope - Dear Father, thankyou for my poopoo not hurting and help Kami's grandpa feel better. (She stops mid prayer and asks me if she is better - we all had a stomach virus this weekend - I tell her she is better and she continues her prayer) - thankyou for letting me and mommy feel better. Amen.
Brandon - Dear Father, thankyou for letting us go eat with Sarah tonight and working the puzzle with her. Thankyou for letting me play with Sarah for 2 days this week and for her coming over tomorrow and help daddy's leg feel better.
Brandon - Oh yeah, Dear Father I forgot but thankyou for letting mommy feel better and thankyou for everyone in the world. Amen.
Daddy and Mommy's prayer - Please God let them stay this age forever.
so sweet. Reese hasn't branched out yet....she prays the exact same prayer every night unless I prod her to change it up.
Dear God, Thank you for our blessings, please help the sick ppl get well, help us be good Christians, Amen.
I thought about Hope this morning, as I was getting dressed for church. My shoes were all over my closet floor! Jason said she has good taste, she had tried on all his favorites! I love that little girl.
My poor 6 year old son has a library card to the Cy-Fair College library and about $30.00 in fines every time we visit the library. Problem is he never checks out books - it is always me. I know I have paid over $200.00 in library fines and lost books in the last 2 years. I don't know what it is about our house but it seems to eat socks, Blockbuster videos and library books. I remember growing up my dad had this same problem. He use to bribe me and my sister with Baskin Robbins ice cream so we would return his stack of 20 books to the library (yes he would literally check out as many books as the library would allow). He would pull up to the front door and not even get out of the car to help us open the big doors to the library. But I guess the ice cream was worth it. Wonder which one of my kids with inherit this particular trait. The harder we try to not be like our parents the more we are like them. My poor kids. They don't have a chance. Oh well, ice cream always works!
you're my freind because you are scatter brained and like me despite the fact that I'm opinionated! looking forward to saturday. Im bringing torilla soup
Yes, it was very romantic...just the way we wanted. The reception was mainly candle light...loved it! Ha, no I can't tell you a bitter at all! I remember your wedding...how long have you been married? I am sure you said but I can't remember. Have a great Christmas!!
Ok lets try this again. Hope asked this question on the way to Target this morning. Brandon told her of course there are bathrooms and food in heaven and the bathrooms are golden. Brandon also said you get to play alot in heaven. You can tell what their biggest concerns are right now - food and play. Out of the mouth of babes!!!
Yes Kristie...I remember you! Are you crazy?! I just asked Carol about you Sunday Night. Trent (my husband) and I just placed membership at Eastside and the Smiths had us over for dinner. We were talking about Jason and his unforgetable laugh :) I just saw your mom not to long ago and asked about yall!
