Nothing much really, just getting ready to go to my mom and dad's for X-mas. I'm so excited I can hardly wait. You know what I get most excited about. The smell of their Log home. The best smell in the world. I look forward to that more then the food! HA!
After X-mas we will beheaded to My brother and SIL's up in Ohio! Really excited about that as well. Hopefully I will get to see some people that I haven't got to see in a while!
So I guess that would be Future News.
Recent News....
ummmm....lets see........
I ate a grapefruit this morning......
Emma LOVES to sniff her favorite blanket as she sucks her thumb and tickles her nose with the fringes....pretty coordinated if you ask me! LOL
Its cold her....but not as cold as it will be up there and there!
Actually on Thanksgiving it was 65! NICE!!
Got a new ring tone on my Cell. Every time it rings we all start laughing. Its this little European voice that says "Let me out I'm stuck in your pocket" it says it over and over till I answer my phone! HA!
I think thats about it for now. If I think of more I'll let you know! :-)
Glad all is well at the Rice House! Excited here as well, about xmas! Got Julia's gift today :) I think she's gonna like it! Ella has a taggie that she likes to hold up by her face and suck her thumb to put herself to sleep. I told Michael it works like magic :)
LOVE YOU
Keri! I promise I know you better than that. I just went dain bread for a few of them.... in fact, a couple of them I didn't mean to click on the answer
I got 80% right; I KNEW you weren't pregnant, so that's not fair. ;) I also missed the loving to play in the river thing because I know you won't step foot in the Saluda River!
really I am. I made my "homemade" detergent last night. A 5 gallon bucket of laundry detergent. Started using it this morning....works WONDERFULLY! And I only spent around 4 dollars...EVEN BETTER. I also got my softener mixed and ready to use! SO yes I am very proud of myself for doing this. It really was so easy and only took me about 30 mins to cook up and put together. I used Ivory soap and it smells so good to!
woo-hoo! I can't wait to try it! Glad it turned out good...and it smells good too? I'm gonna get my 5 gallon bucket tomorrow at Lowes.
Love ya.
p.s. thanks for your sweet comment
Keri, how much of the detergent are you using compared to commercial detergent? The same? I'm curious...I have thought about making my own, but I've never done it. And I use so LITTLE of my Tide because our water is so soft (I use ½ Tbsp at the most!), it lasts forever...so I'm wondering ~ if I had to use more of the homemade stuff, would it save me money? If the same amount still works, though, it certainly would!
I saw your comment to Kristin. I love my homemade soap too! I kind of played with the recipe to make it more concentrated, and added essential oils for scent & cleaning properties. Fun stuff!
That's great! I'm proud of you too! :) We're still contemplating on a name, but we've got it narrowed down to 2. First & middle names will most likely consist of a family name (one from Brian's side & one from my side)...any guesses?
Yes, i got your email. The one with the sponges was new to me- i'll have to try it! i always tear my dryer sheets in half. I love the Gain scent- just not the price! Glad you got your detergent made. I have gotten blackberry cobbler out with it! I use Octogon soap that Donna brings to me from Alabama. The whole house smells great when I cook up a batch! love you!
Hi Keri... Do you know of the Lexington Medical or the other hospitals in Columbia allow VBAC? Aiken Regional has a policy against them and I would like to try VBAC with our next child. We have found out after the fact that my OB is Csection happy. She did a csection on me b/c she thought he was going to be too big but Isaiah ended up only 6lb3oz. If there is a hospital in Columbia that does I would like to find a gyn/ob and start going before we begin trying again for baby #2. Thanks :)
Hey girl, happy thanksgiving! I hope you have a great one. I have been wanting to try that homemade detergent recipe. I just never seem to get it together and get it MADE! I get so tired of spending big bucks on that stuff. And softener too. I didn't know there was a recipe for that!
Grilled Chicken breast
Peas....a Family favorite...not mine ha
Garlic mashed potatoes
Quick and easy to fix. One of our weekly meals around this house.

tomorrow will be a BIG game... Gamecocks vs Florida...this should be interesting.
1000 voices was AWESOME as usual. Got to meet some people that I talk to on pleo...nice to be able to put a face with a name! And of course got to be with my mo and dad...love you two!
Plans to go next year of course.
This spring we will be headed to Ga for the Mountain voices..went last yr with my sister it was nice.
Emma LOVES hats. It is so funny to see her walking around with a hat that she has found and put on by herself....cracks us up...her to!
Wed was Preemie awareness day!! Went to the Parents of Preemies support group where they had a HUGE lunch and got to meet the Legislators of the March of Dimes. I am really enjoying being involved. And of course EVERYONE just feel in love with our Sweet Emma.....she makes friends EVERYWHERE she goes! Not a day goes by that I don't look at her and just feel so blessed beyond...not to mention I still shed a couple of tears daily when either looking at her...watching her sleep or thinking of that TINY 2 pounder laying in her incubator....op here I go I'm starting to get all teared up...better stop.
Can't wait to see you! We had pork chops, corn, rice and biscuits for dinner. I got some good Breyers ice cream on sale, so that will be for dessert. Are we going to make rice krispie treats everyday that you are here???
I just got your card in the mail today. Thank you so much for thinking of me it really means alot. I count my blessings everyday and I know you know how Gods plan is he knows what he is doing. Thank you again.
Because his work schedule is very complicated, and LJ doesn't want me going overdue. Actually, I haven't discussed it with my OB yet, but if I wait to go to the hospital (what I'm planning on doing) until it's time to deliver, how can he refuse?
I'll try to get that recipe to you. I got it from a lady here on pleo- her name is Wendi on my friend's list. She is full of great ideas! I don't have one for softener, so if you come across one, let me know.
hey. I think I mite know who you are, but I never really do know. I do have neames picked out,for a boy I know I want to name it Silas Gage, but for a girl...I'm not really sure. It's hard for me to choose a name I wont get sick of after a while.
So glad you are going to RYC...it is a long day with little ones, but I'm sure you're up for the challenge ;)
I taught Julia's class every year until this past year (and then it was your sister!). I plan to do the same with Josh. I think, though, that I may bow out of any major teaching this year. Josh was barely walking last year and was content to ride in the mei tai quite a bit. Next year he'll be toddling around a bunch (he'll be two!) and I think we may just hang out and lend a hand here and there. I think it would be my one and only year of easy days ;)
that is where i will be headed to tomorrow! Poor Ian is to sick to go so he will stay back and rest!:-(
Julia will go with me but my AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL, LOVING Sister will be keeping Olivia and Emma!!!! Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,
Tyler of course will be going along with his "friend" Dianna (they goto school together). Jenna from church and I HOPE SO MUCH Deanna!!!
Sorry you couldn't come Darci but I completely understand and wish so much you could!!
I am so ready to go this yr. Singing praises to God.it is so beautiful!!!
oh yeah BTW I'm all better (boy was I sick though)!!
I wish I could be there. I love to sing, especially praises to our Lord and King. I met my husband at the Singing School in Wilburton, OK. BTW I am very glad to hear you are better!
Our Aunt Sheila will be there this year. She wrote a hymn a couple of years ago, that will be sung this year. I hope you have a safe trip and a wonderful time.
I know you will be singing your heart out with all those wonderful brethren, Keri. And you have a wonderful, loving sister to help you out. I wish I could see you there, but our plans to go got trumped by Kim's wedding this year. I'll take that this year joyfully! Glad you are feeling better.
