We are sojourners here on this earth and we must remember this. For the first time since 1999 I wasn't stressed on election night. I figured the polls were correct and Obama was going to win. God knows all things and controls all things. We must support our leaders because as other have stated the Roman Empire was far worst then Obama.
Pray that the judges appointed will be secret conservatives like some of the liberal judges Republican appointed.
I agree very well stated. I too have peace in this election as well. At first i was of course upset Mccain didnt win but then after much thought i am kinda excited for the most part. I still dont agree with some of his issues on things such as abortion/partial birth but maybe things can be turned around.
We had our power restored yesterday. They went ahead today and canceled school for the rest of the week. Out of 154 schools over 45 still didn't have power at noon today.
The strangest thing with this storm on Sunday was most people didn't have a clue how bad it was till it was all over. Scott even took the kids out to the woods Sunday in it. (Actually according to Scott it was an open field with trees around it) God was really looking out for them. For those who were not here this storm was only wind. No rain no thunderclouds nothing but an wind advisory. Here in Louisville the winds reach 75 mph. Here in KY we know to take shelter during Tornado or severe thunderstorms but we are not used to taking shelter during an wind advisory. That is why when this first started so many didn't take shelter.
Scott's best friend, Mike, son's best friend was killed Sunday in the storm. (I know that an around about contection) but the boy was only 10 years old (same age as Hunter) and was out mowing grass at the start of the wind storm. A tree fell on him. When I first heard a 10 year boy from Shelby county was killed I immediately thought of Mike's son. I very soon knew he was ok and was relived it wasn't. Yesterday I found out I had met the boy at Mike's house. The other personal connection from the storm is my brother Scott's wife best friend was inspecting her house after a tree fell on it then another limb fell and struck her. It broke her neck and she is still in ICU. Through this all I keep thinking we have been spared directly but some many from TX to OH has been devastated by this storm. Please continue to keep all them in your prayers. And count your blessings for they are many.
What sad things to hear about! Sadly a man lost his life down here (another county) today who was on a crew restoring power. I'm so glad you have your power back on.
I did the self-test and determined that I am apparently right-eye dominant. :) When I took an archery class at camp, I used the left-handed bow. I was trying to remember in terms of how that fits in with all this dominant eye stuff, and I think that makes sense, too. Archery is a lot of fun; that is so neat that you own an archery store! Mom doesn't get on pleonast very much and dad has been posting less in the recent past. But I'll let them know you are on Pleonast...they probably don't realize!
As others have stated on their blog's we need to examine ourselves daily because Life is a vapor.
Kurn Bard was a christain and a member of Taylorsville Rd. He just turn 50 had a loving wife and 2 daughters one in middle school and one in high school. He had been feeling ill but just thought he had a stomach virus. Went to take a nap and never woke up.
I remember him also from the softball games. Over the pass 5 years I would see him on field trips. He with his daughter and me with Hunter.
Please keep Kelly, the girls and the rest of the family in your prayers. For those who don't know the details yet the arrangements are as follows.

This is so unbelievable. We enjoyed the Bard family while they worshiped at Eastland back in the late 90s. May God be with them during these bleak days.
Thank you for your prayers. I keep thinking of how, when I lived in Louisville and my folks were down here facing a storm, they always came safely through. But even the "oldies" here are frightened at what can happen. All the lows, etc in the atmosphere are going to turn this into a real monster. We decided to stay to take care of the house. The eye is due to hit us square on.
