Well, Anthony flew to Texas today. He is in Kosse with his family and will be there until Monday when he flies home. I will miss him....this is my first time to be alone in Colorado.
I am keeping busy though. Worked late tonight and I close tomorrow too. I hope to sleep in then take the doggies on a walk. Maybe I'll find time to do something fun like go see a movie with a friend or something.
Anthony made the sudden trip to see his grandma. She hasn't been well for a couple of years, but has gotten significantly worse as of late. She's lost almost 100 pounds in the last two years...the doctors keep running tests, but never find any answers. It is very frustrating for the family. I am thankful that Anthony has this opportunity to go spend time with her.
....well, I am exhausted.....as always. Looking forward to Sunday and time to worship and sing with the brethren!!
So, my entire morning off has been crazy. Anthony's parents decided yesterday that they want him to fly to Texas this weekend to visit the family.
His grandma has not been well for a while, so I think it will be an awesome opportunity for him t go back and spend time with them!! I have been online trying to find cheap plane tickets all morning. If he can get off of work on Friday, I found tickets for him to fly out Friday and return Monday. I think it will do him good to see them again as he misses them very much. It will also do his family good to see him!! We can plan on having Thanksgiving on Thursday and then have him fly out early Friday morning!!
...I'm not sure why my text keeps changing.....weirdness...
Anyway, I hope he is able to get time off so that he can go home to visit! I have to work Friday and Saturday anyway...so it won't be a huge deal for me! Plus I have my doggies to keep my company!
I am getting ready to have lunch with my friend then go last minute shopping for Turkey Day food. I hope you are all enjoying your week!!
Well, I am already back in the working groove. I am totally geared for Black Friday. I think it's called black for a reason...and I'm not too excited to have my first retail experience ever on this day. But, my team is ready and so is my store! We had a 'holiday preparedness' visit on Wednesday....about 8 Group office folks came to our store to determine if we were on track with holiday schedule. It was decided that we are ready...set...go. :)
I am just sitting and pondering things and am so happy and blessed!! Anthony and I were trying to plan a quick get away for our 5th wedding anniversary...which occurs on December 24th....and it just made me feel so blessed and loved. We were thinking of spending the evening in the mountains, but haven't been able to find a cabin.....I hope we come up with something!!!
*update* My co-workers' wreck situation has been resolved. The man in the other car pulled thru and is doing much better. Thank you to those who prayed for him!!
I hope all is well with you all! How are your Turkey Day plans coming?? We are planning to share our day with our two friends..Jen and Alex! So thankful to have great friends to spend our holiday with! Take care all !!
