We THOUGHT we were going to Disney World today. It turns out we got the dates confused and we won't be leaving for several days!!! I'm so glad we didn't get all packed and wake up early to catch that 5:30 am flight! Oh wait, WE DID!!! Jin Li was confused when we were leaving the airport, but once we explained to her that her parents are MORONS, she seemed to understand. And she was very happy about getting to go to school.
We got back home around 5:00 am. Can you think of a better time for a family photo??? No way, it doesn't exist!
hey, where do ya'll go to get an oil change? I have a place, but it's in CS and now that I live across town, I was wondering if there was a good place closer by.
Ha ha! That's awesome! One time when I was 7 or so we drove the two hours to a Rangers game, went to church in the Metroplex, went to the stadium and there was no one there. I cried all the way home and have been scarred for life. But, on the bright side, at least yall aren't Mormons.
I like to hide crackers (sometimes chips, but mainly crackers) in Brent's sandwiches. I've been doing it for several years now. I'm not sure why this brings me great joy, but it does. He once ate a whole sandwich at Schlotzsky's without ever noticing the extra crunch of a Saltine hiding inside. It doesn't always go this well. Last week he busted me for hiding one in his Subway. Bummer.
Tonight he was heating up a hamburger patty in the microwave. He stepped out of the room, so I slipped a Saltine under the patty. (No bread people. That's risky.) I was a little concerned that the Saltine had noticeably elevated the patty, but as luck would have it, he decided to reheat. I was hoping they might congeal, especially since he usually eats the patty plain, with a fork. When he pulled out the bread, I was worried. Could the cracker successfully AND DISCRETELY travel, with the patty, onto the bread??? I wish I had it on video because, let me just say that there has NEVER been a safer landing. AND he let me take his picture!!! (I told him to pose with the tomatoes that Missy grew in her garden. Thanks Missy!) Then he ate the cracker. What a great day!
Hi Ms. Krissie, how's you two been? Will you tell me what you think of my new blog picture please? it's of my new girlfriend and me. thanx if you do :)
If you have an itch on your LEFT side, let's say 6" directly below your armpit, would you use your LEFT arm to scratch? Or use your RIGHT arm to reach across and scratch? Think about it. Go ahead and give it a practice scratch just to be certain.
If you answered "left arm" then I think you might possibly be a monkey. And if I see you scratching like this, I WILL MAKE MONKEY NOISES AT YOU. Which is what happened the other day when Adam came by the furniture store. He scratched (monkey style) so I made VERY LOUD monkey noises at him. Too bad a customer was standing right behind me. Then I had to help them. That was awkward.
Hi, Krissie! I saw your comment on Grace's blog about the pics of the girls with the stroller. I could "hear" your voice saying that! It made me miss you! I can't wait to see you next month!!!
I was listening to some songs from BNL's new album and there's a whole song about the joke Jin Li told about 789. You should check it out! It's pretty funny!
Sort of. They have "rest time" for 30 minutes or so right before the end of their day. Some teachers will want you to buy a mat and some don't so if I were you I'd wait until you get to meet her teacher. They'll let you know if you need one. Let me know when you find out who her teacher is. (I'm sure she will be a teacher's pet!!)
people up here have been so amazed by the game of snaps they are actually wanting us to do this at the FC talent show up here. Yikes! I can't decide if I like that idea or not!
I've been working with our pets for awhile now, trying to teach them how to beg. Lately, I've been offering them a little yogurt and it really seems to work!
Here's Ladybug in action.
And our cat, Popple. (You might be more familiar with his rap name, P. Kitty.)

Coolness! Ashlea has actually been training our cats. I didn't think you could train a cat to sit on command, but Maybelline has actually learned it pretty well.
i really am normally very upbeat...and rarely do I even have to try even the littlest to be like that. I'll feel much better after tomorrow is over. Thanks for the comment though Krissie...it was very uplifting :)
I've started a pleonast account for Erika after emailing her about it. Now she just has to validate it because it shows as invalid for now... I named her elizabethb.
