Yesterday was turkey day, YUM... and it was our first family picture together! I made a pumpkin dump cake for the get together... HELLO!!! That is the best dessert EVER! Today is our Christmas with the Everett family. I just finished wrapping all the gifts, put them under the tree and a brisket is in the oven.
Here is the gift my children have given me this year... $$$$...
And the greatest big brother EVER! He is an angel to HIS babies!
how cute. johnny is such a sweet boy. i hope he is moving to the 2 yr old class in november...then he, carson and travis can all be together. travis will NOT be able to contain his excitement. lol
Oooohhh...what is a pumpkin dump cake? I'm going to have to look that up. These pictures are wonderful. I love watching your babies grow. Love the tax shirts! (I'm an accountant) :)
No fair! You already got to have a christmas get together?!?! Lucky ducky! The pictures are amazing! I'm still trying to figure out how to put pictures on here! Take care!
my sister has found me some home remedies, hopefully I can get it under control again before it gets worse. I am going to Brookshires right now to get what I need.
Sorry, it's been a while since I posted pictures of my sweet kiddos... They're all growing and their personalities are really coming to light!
Alex has become a happier kid since he started to smile! (But it's still impossible to get it in a picture... he gets distracted by the flash.
Kirby is still our sweet, petite girl... she just loves to smile at her Daddy (she's got him wrapped around her finger!!!)
Jaxson has become our "needy" child... he really really really likes to be held, and not too much else. He's been moved to his own crib due to his AMAZING ability to move, break his swaddle and on the occassion, turn over!
Johnny is just a GREAT big brother, I'm so proud of him! He's started getting up around 4 or 5 am, coming in our room and crawling into bed with us. I LOVE cuddling with him, but I always send him back to his room. He's perfectly okay with this, he just insists you turn on his Baby Mozart music. My favorite words he says are, "Thank you, Momma!" He says this ALL day long... here he is with his sister Kirby:
What beautiful pictures!!! They are all just beautiful and such sweet little babies! And Johnny is just a doll! You are one lucky Mommy!!!!! It was so great to see you!!!
I love themeven though I haven't met them!! I think it's the first set of triplets I've ever witnessed. Love it!! Enjoy Thanksgiving and give Sherry and all the kids (even yours) a hug from Aunt Toni! :)
OH, my - they have changed so much since I was there!!! Its going to be so hard for me to leave next week, but I will be looking forward to seeing your 3.
I need a little help here... my wardrobe is pretty limitted since the birth of the triplets... Jay's company Christmas party is on Dec. 5th... it's at The Woodlands Marriott and the dress is BUSINESS CASUAL... now... there lies the problem.
What would you consider business casual? Would a nice pair of dark blue jeans, some nice boots and a nice shirt be considered that? B/c that's what I've got that fits! I really don't feel like wearing a skirt and I don't have any khaki pants or black pants that fit me yet...
So what would you suggest for me?!?! What do YOU consider business casual?
Our office attire is business casual, and that typically doesn't include jeans. I know I hate showing up somewhere and feeling underdressed. I'm with her on this one. I'd wear the skirt. If you're worried about comfort, a skirt with flats and a cute top would be totally acceptable. Just my two cents. Then again, you don't work there, what are they going to do - fire you? Hehe. Good luck!
We have a business casual dress code at work. . .we aren't allowed to wear jeans. . .sorry for that input. . .BUT I think nice DARK blue jeans are very classy, so i wouldn't worry too much about it!
I think that outfit would be fine for business casual. We have to dress "business casual" for work and I'll usually wear a nice pair of slacks and a nice shirt...and sometimes, I'll slip in a nice pair of jeans during the week if I didn't get time to clean my dress slacks :)
I know you don't want to hear it but, I think jeans might be too causal. If that's all you have then really dress it up. At the end of the day you just had triplets , people can get over it.
I know how you feel! Of course I didn't have triplets but I do understand when things don't fit. But business casual to me means black pants or khakis.
i don't think even dressy jeans can be business casual. :-/ if you had a very dark denim skirt, that *might* could work but i would go with non-denim slacks or skirt!
I saw the website for Leon Valley - we will definitely have to check it out. Josh will go on Monday to sign papers, get the apt. and do the drug screening. I do not think the boys and I will go until the following week. But, we will be home probably every weekend for awhile to get the house ready to sell. They will cover an apt. for us for six months... I will miss you too!!! I have got to meet the triplets! Hopefully this Sunday!
If they're nice dark blue jean then yes, with boots and a nice shirt. Dress it up with jewlery. A white shirt with a pearls sneckless is always nice. Khaki's might be the best but you have to work with what you have!
Jeans wouldn't normally be included in business casual. I would go for a skirt.
My husband's christmas party is in Orlando (it is every year) and I'm a little disappointed we can't go. I really don't feel like flying with 4 kids just for one day. Nor do I feel like shopping for a formal dress before I've lost more weight- that's just too depressing. :)
Kris just had a fancy party that was listed as "business casual" as well. I had such a hard time with it! I finally went with something similar to my Sunday dress (a black skirt, nice shirt, hose and nice shoes). Once we got there, I was glad I wore that. Most people were dresses like that or more dressy! Hope it goes well!
I would go dressier than dark jeans. Cato has nice clothes for cheaper prices (I got a cute black skirt there for $9). Email me your size and I might have something you could borrow if you don't want to buy since we will be seeing you next week.
i'd go with a nice pair of dress slacks, with a dressy top snd jewelery, and of course heels, and a clutch. I can't belive i even just thought that sentence much less said it. what's happening to me???? iv gotta stop watching what not to wear. btw it's all sudrey's fault, she created this monster. I even get my eyebrows threaded now. try it, it lasts longer.
I haven't had a chance to check my closet yet. I will try to do that tomorrow. Read my comment on Linsey's page to see what I thought of Twilight. I will discuss it more in depth with you when I see you. =)
i'm in the same boat, so i have no advice to you! :) but, i can sympathize with you if that helps! i'm sure you'll find the perfect outfit and be beautiful!
I'm going on a DATE tomorrow (with Jay of course!)
He gets off a little before noon, he's going to take me to lunch and then to see TWILIGHT!!! YEAH!!!
I'm so excited to see this movie (can you tell?)
Amy and Mrs. Ashcraft are coming to watch the kids... I've been waiting for this day, a date with Jay and to see TWILIGHT!!! Every day this week when it seems like the kids are going to drive me nuts... I tell myself that "Friday is date day, Friday is date day, Friday is date day...."
Have fun and don't tell me ANYTHING!! I'll probably call you Monday so we can discuss. =) There are 14 of us going together from church. It should be lots of fun. We are leaving today to go to San Antiono. I am looking forward to it! (Oh and I changed my mind about the turkey cupcakes. Yesterday I made the pumpkin trifle that I found on the recipe exchange group and it was so yummy!!!
Have fun on your date night! I'm sure you both have been needing one for awhile now. I hope the movie is good. I haven't read the books yet, but I hope to in the near future. My sister read them and LOVED them. I'm sure she will be wanting to see the movie too.
I'm so excited for you! I haven't been on pleo in a while. Caught up on your blogs. I can't believe how quickly the babies are growing! Enjoy your date with Jay and enjoy the movie!
We're planning (haven't bought tickets yet, but ...) to be in Houston the Sunday morning after Christmas, as well as the Wednesday night around New Years. Matt's preaching in Beaumont the Sunday night after Christmas. The plan is to fly in Christmas Day, and fly out Jan. 3rd.
Do you remember that show that was on when we were kids - where the guy wore jeans and suspenders and could stretch the word onion into like a four syllable word...anyways, he often cooked with wine and would say something like, "and a bit for me"...anyways, he ended up with a major drinking problem because of "the bit".
Yup. My mom and I joke about that all the time. Hmmm, probably shouldn't joke about it, now that I type that out. Sounds so sad! But yeah, why can't all her cocktails be her yummy looking kiddie cocktails? They look just as fun and have 0 alcohol. Weird.
Lesli was 1cm on Monday, but had no contractions while she was at the doc. They did an ultrasound, and everything looks okay. She has another appointment on Friday, and Lesli said today they will likely induce Friday or Saturday, if Baby doesn't come before then - if for no other reason than that Larry has to go back to work on Monday, whether the baby's here or not.
i got to where i didn't even watch the show anymore because i didn't use the recipies because they all had something to do with "booze" as jay put it! i know not all had it in the recipie but i just got tired of it all the time!
