It's been a lot of fun going to some of the games and witnessing the greatness that is Alabama Football. Can't wait to see what the next few weeks has in store for the Tide...
Yeah, thanks for saying this. I'm getting so tired of hearing people say that we elected a socialist and now they want to move to Canada. NEWS FLASH! Most of Canada is made up of socialism programs! Romans 13
We are told to pray for our leaders. But the Scriptures tell us, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn" (Prov. 29:2). Mourning in this case is acceptable. But moving to Canada....yeah, they are Socialist, too. So that does not make sense. By the way, Obama is a Socialist, which we can know by comparing his ideals (which he has openly revealed) to the ideals of Socialism. Now that I've said my two-cents, let me say "hello" to you. :) I've missed seeing your face around here. I hope you are happy in T-town. Looks like both of my boys will be heading down there next year.
The following is not original with me but so well said. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. (Romans 13:1) i find it disturbing that when the candidate for which certain people vote gets elected, the response is "Praise God! Our prayers have been answered!" however, when the candidate the same people fear is elected, the response is "God help us all."
God did establish "governing authorities" in general, and He has raised rulers to bless and punish nations. Perhaps the results of this election - on Obama presidency - is the punishment our nation deserves. I don't know. We'll see. God never promised that everything will work out or go smoothly in this life (otherwise there would never be problems and persecution). But He does promise His children something better beyond this life, and that is where my hope and trust are.
Meredith, I don't believe I said anything that demonstrates a "bad attitude." After all, I clearly state that my trust and hope are in God and the better life beyond Earth. I happen to believe that Obama is bad for our nation and supports a host of ungodly behaviors (i.e., abortion, homosexuality). You may disagree; and if so, that is a difference of opinion - not a "bad attitude" on my part.
...for the time being. Our fall break is from Thursday-Sunday. I don't think I've ever needed a break as much as I've needed this one. :) It's so nice to NOT have to think about schoolwork for a few days!
I think I must have left my voice in Tuscaloosa though...I woke up this morning with laryngitis. Up until this semester, I have never completely lost my voice. This is my second time within 2 months time to lose it. Good times, good times.
Haha, it's not nerdy...this is the first year EVER that I wasn't tripping over myself excited about classes. Probably only because I was sleepy haha. Thanks...the newspaper takes up tons of time, but it's so rewarding!
Oh my goodness. I bet they do that on purpose---so sorry! I'm not supposed to take morning classes anymore because of my narcolepsy, but I have a lot of friends that do----I'm sure that you'll get used to it in no time! Good luck!
I saw your pictures on Facebook--the set-up you guys have is so amazing! And how wonderful to have each other to lean on for support! You all are very blessed :)

"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24-25)
