I can't believe it's already time for spring semester. This break has raced by. This semester I have classes everyday for the first time since I started college, but hopefully it won't be too bad. Also after this semester I'll be finished with all my general education classes. Good Luck to everyone this semester:) Summer's getting closer!
Classes:
Music Listening
Medieval Europe
Early American History
Creative Writing
Intro to Biology
All your classes look very interesting and fun to learn except the intro to biology one. lol =) I love history =) It should be fun. Hope you're having a good year
I don't understand why college professors think they can do whatever they want. Colleges shouldn't allow it. I have the same teacher for American Studies and History of Kentucky and he has a personality that I just can not understand. I had no idea a person could be so liberal. He even told us that he was further left than Obama. How can people write books and articles like intelligent human beings and yet can't say one sentence without cursing and using the Lord's name in vain. I hope this semester goes by quickly because it a horrible feeling to be around people who have no regard for anything. I hope one day colleges will see that teachers who do not treat their students with respect do not deserve their influential leadership positions. Teachers should have characters that deserve to be duplicated not ones that deserve to be ignored.
That's awful. Sure hope your semester goes fast. No matter I'm sure it wont go fast enough. And I agree teachers should not be allowed to be teaching students who have no respect for the student and worse have no respect for God. Not that they have to believe in God, but certainly that they don't curse, etc. That's just wrong.
Camp Appalachia is an awesome Bible camp I go to every summer in New Martinsville, WV. It's really a great thing, I wouldn't be a Christian today if it weren't for the teaching I heard there.
I really enjoy all my classes this semester, but I do have a lot of reading to do. I especially love my Intro to Appalachian Studies class and my Kentucky History class. I do have to walk a lot though during the day so I'm planning on understanding how Morehead's buses work this week. It's just way too hot outside and riding the bus would really help. Other than all the walking and driving I'm really enjoying being back to school and being on campus this year. I'm also able to eat lunch with my friends whenever I'm on campus so I never have to eat alone :) Plan on another update soon :)
My Schedule:
Intro to Appalachian Studies
American Studies
History of Kentucky
Practicing History
Astronomy
Wow, I can't believe school is about to start again. Summer break hasn't seemed too short, but still. It's just a little unbelievable.
Today Dad and I drove to Morehead to get my books. I was able to get all but one of them. They didn't have one of my Kentucky history books out on the shelf yet, at the University bookstore, so tomorrow we're driving back to Morehead to find that last book and get my parking permit. They have three book stores up there so I should be able to find it at one of them.
I've never had to read a lot for any of my classes so far, but that is definitely about to change. I have a feeling all of these semi thin paperback books are going to have to be read. Well, I do love history and college is suppose to be a little difficult, so I should be ok :)
I am slowly beginning to get excited about starting this new year. After all I'm not a freshman anymore, so that’s a plus right there. This year will also mark the start of many new freedoms for me, since I will be commuting to MSU. No more driving five miles to school every other day; this year it's going to be about 30 miles twice a day four days a week. Dad's helping me get ready for the frequent driving this week. I'd say that by the end of the week I'll have driven to Morehead about four or five times. What would I do without my parents? I love them so much :)
Hi Jessica, man, I miss seeing you on Jordan's ichat. It was always nice seeing your smiling face. So, yes, we miss you. We miss both Jordan and Hannah, it is certainly less exciting around here. Hope your school plans all work out. We look forward to seeing you all on Labor day. Remember, we love ya.
Ok, we thought maybe you were there. We heard them call - Ratliff party of two. Obviously we were there. Sometime we will have to meet you there. We don't go very often. But, we like it and it's fairly close to home.
