So i opened a new bank account down here in the sunshine state, since my bank in KY isn't in Fl... well anyways i was filling out the paperwork with the banker lady, and had to smile when she asked the following question:
"what is your profession?"
i smiled because for the first time ever, i was proud to say
"i'm a photographer."
:)
Yesterday at work a coworker and i bumped butts for like 5 min. For no apparent reason other than boredom.
OH, and on saturday i was at the computer working on some orders and the girls were behind me at the counter discussing who was shooting in which camera room... this is what followed...
teri: So should i do them in the front or back?
me (shouting alittle too loudly for work): THATS WHAT SHE SAID!
I thought you weren't going to say that anymore. HOWEVER, that was hilarious! Nate Chetelat said a few good ones on Saturday. Needless to say (although I told you yesterday) I miss you.
it didn't follow the book that closely... the line delivery was waaaaay too slow... bella didn't start acting until the second to last scene... the way they depicted edward running/climbing trees was RIDICULOUSLY FUNNY AND STUPID....
i must saw, the best part of the entire movie was sitting by monica and making fun of everything, and laughing at the teeny boppers screaming and gushing over edward...
Overall it wasn't the worst movie, but it wasn't the best by any means... the book is much better...
the things i did like from the movie are the following...
~ Alice's character was pretty spot on, and pretty cute too.
~ Charlie was just how i imagined him.
~ Mike was just how i pictured him as well.
OH... ok is it just me or did anyone else think that Bellas school friends were all white? the asians and african american kids definetly threw me for a loop... it was cool though. just not how i pictured it.
A lot of things threw me off to. I thought her friends were all white too. I even asked Matt who the black guy was. I had no idea for a while. I liked the movie though.
I am so excited for you! Although I miss my old neighbor...I am all alone in the duplex now. Sad. :( Glad to hear life is going so well for you though!!
I'm so glad!!! By the way if you were still here we would be celebrating your 2 year BlueCotton anniversary today. Brenna had a reminder pop up on her computer today (it was Charity's computer). :)
a brief update before i head off to sell some pictures...
work is going great...
my manager told me that my voice is very "zen" and then she told me i sounded like an accountant she once knew... hmmm.
ok random tidbit here...
there is a commercial on tv down here in tampa that makes me laugh everytime i hear it... it is a Sonnys BBQ commercial for the March of Dimes.... their catch phrase is...
"baby backs for babies"
i always think they are collecting baby spines for babies... and it makes me laugh...
that's possibly the most disturbing thing i've heard in a long time, and i'm researching Roman Emperors right now and they were into some crazy stuff so....*shudder.
so yesterday was my 2nd day at work... my feet are soooooo sore. going from a job where i sat on my butt and did nothing for 8 hours to a job where i am on my feet for 8 hours and always on the go is a BIG change...
since a few people have asked about the job... here ya go.
i work for a photo studio called Studio 1 to 1. i haven't gotten to shoot anything yet, but i will. right now i am learning how to book and all our pricing and specials... so far i am loving it. the people i work with are amazingly funny and great to be around. the manager is so different than other managers i have had, she is a great photographer and very hands on.
i am really enjoying the work and i'm learning a TON.
i have never had to wear a uniform before this job... but it isn't your typical uniform. we just have to wear all black, a nice sliming color... so when i turn sideways, i disappear. but we can wear pretty much anything as long as it is black... so i look like a preppy gothic kid.
hahaha toward your goth wardrobe and maybe you should get shoes that have support. not MORE support, just support. The next time you see a girl that looks like me, you should kiss her and then tell her that it wasnt anything like you had expected. Then you would know how it would be to kiss me.
which one are you working at? my sis used the one at westshore and they did an awesome job on my nieces photos and Jessie Orthober used to work there too...congrats!
