I am 4 days away from graduating college. It is an unbelievable feeling and I am so blessed to have made it to this moment in my life. I am thankful to my parents who have supported me throughout my life and especially these last 4 1/2 years. I was debating back and forth whether or not I was going to stay in Lubbock or move back to Fort Worth and I finally made the decision. I decided to move back home to Fort Worth. I'm going to move in with one of my friends there and I'm really exciting about the journey that lies before me. However, I am sad to be leaving the family that I have grown to love here in Lubbock. I have developed friendships here that will last forever and could never be replaced. I have never been the best at goodbyes so these next few days are going to be the hardest of my life. I know that if it does not work out in Fort Worth I will always be welcomed back here so I am keeping all of my options open. I feel so blessed to have two places to chose from to go where there are people that are there that love me and want me there. I am sad to leave and it won't be easy but I thank God for the wonderful 4 years that I have been blessed with and the friendships that have been gained. I wish everyone the best and may God continue to bless them in all things.
Hi Leska, I have met many of your friends out there and I understand why it will be hard to leave them. You are very lucky to have them as friends, plus being able to study with Brett Hogland is a blessing. Ft. Worth is my home too and I dearly miss it. Hopefully our paths will cross then. Are you going to be going to church at Woodmont again?
Congratulations on making it through school. I'm really proud of you.
Congratulations! I know that was an extremely difficult decision! We missed everyone in Lubbock everyday for years! (Still do, but this is home now!) It will be nice to get to see you more often! Please let us know if you need anything or want to get together anytime! Who are you moving in with?
I know your folks will be very happy to have you back, but that must have been a VERY difficult decision! My best wishes to you. At least Pleonast stays in one place...
Some of you may not be aware of the fact that Texas Tech University is now 9-0 in their football season!!! (that's good). We successfully completed our task at beating the #1 team in the nation (tu) and are on our way to a 10-0 record. The Red Raiders of Texas Tech are hosting the Cowboys of Oklahoma State Saturday November 8, 2008 for another showdown. If the Red Raiders can pull out a win then we will have a 10-0 record going into Norman, Oklahoma to defeat Bob Stoops and his Oklahoma Sooners November 22nd. It is going to be another tough match up and exciting game between the dominant Big 12 South! Be sure to tune in at 8/7c on ABC for the Gun Show of the Year!!!!! WRECK 'EM TECH!!!!!!!
I am proud to announce that College Game Day from ESPN will be in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday November 1st for the TEXAS TECH vs. Texas game!!!!! I have never been more excited about a game in my entire life!!!! This is bigger than the Superbowl (because I actually get to go to this game!)!!!! I want to scream but I need to save it for Saturday. Please watch and cheer on those Red Raiders (not the longhorns)!!!!!
well, i am. and my brother. Derek was going to, but he found out that he's preaching this Sunday, so he's staying home :( i just hope this game yields the same good results! im sure it will :)
I saw this in the teacher's bathroom and it made me realize how blessed we are in this country for so many things that we might take advantage of.
The bumper sticker of the year:
"If you can read this--thank a teacher. And since it's in English--thank a soldier"
How profound!! Let's be sure to thank those in our military that are serving our country and protecting us for all that they do. God has truly blessed us!!!
no, you misunderstood me... Ryan and I, as Aggies, are sorry that you're going to lose this weekend...even if your team throws tortillas and batteries and such... :) haha
I am always excited during this time of year because of all the excitement from the football rivalries and games!!!!! It was a weekend for football.
I am sad to say that my poor Sooners could not pull out a win against that nasty ut team. I don't know how, My Man Sam Bradford threw 5 touchdown passes!!!! (Isn't he just so cute)!
OU 35 tu 45
I am happy to announce that Tech was able to win against Nebraska (barely)! All I have to say is that there is a kicker out here that should be very watchful of who he runs into because I am not pleased!
Tech 37 Nebraska 31
And how 'bout them Cowboys and I'm not talking about the ones in Dallas either. Those Pokes from Oklahoma did an amazing job against a #3 Missouri!!!!! I just need Missouri to get their act together in time for next week against that nasty tu team.
Oklahoma State 28 Missouri 23
We'll have to wait and see how the Big Cowboys and my Brett Favre do today!!! I love my boys!!!!!
What a weekend indeed. It started off with us going to a high school game. It was between the two high schools here in Baytown, Lee and Sterling (Amber's alma mater) who hadn't beaten Lee in 9 years. Sterling outplayed Lee and it was awesome victory.
And what can I say but, GO LONGHORNS! Zero-U didn't play bad but Texas outplayed them. It was such a good game that I think even if Texas had lost I still would have enjoyed it. And Emily's OSU Cowboys had an awesome game last night. I think we're going to see some exciting games in the Big 12 since there are so many good teams in it this year. Congratulations on Tech beating Nebraska. I am so anxious for the Texas/Texas Tech game now.
