My husband actually agreed to go with me to see it. He didn't fall asleep, like he is known to do during movies he really doesn't like. He said it wasn't the worst movie he's ever seen. I was surprised. He liked the baseball scene, too.
Yeah, I liked the baseball scene.I thought Bella and Edward had good chemistry and were true to their characters in the book...other than that...the music was weird and made things seem too cheesy for me a lot of the time.
It's Friday. I'm glad the weekend is almost here. Actually, I guess mine started today, since I took the day off from work. :) I had no particular reason to, I just wanted to. I've had a good day so far. I slept a little late, which was nice. I caught up on some housework. I'm making chicken and dumplings with cornbread for supper. My husband will like that. That's the first thing I cooked for him while we were dating, and I'm pretty sure that's what hooked him. lol Seriously, he does tend to get a better supper when I don't have to work. Especially now, since we are expecting a baby. All of this got me to thinking. I really can't wait to be able to stay home and do this every day. I've always wanted to be able to stay home and take care of things around the house, but today I'm really feeling it. Maybe it's some sort of hormone kicking in? A lot of my married Christian friends who are mothers get to stay home, and I've always envied them a little. Pretty soon, though...I'll get to. I can't wait! :)
I have a brand new sweet baby niece. Her name is Evie Lynn. She was born September 18. She has a head full of reddish brown hair and is adorable. :) We all really thought she'd be born during the midst of Ike, but thankfully was not. My baby brother is turning into a really good daddy. :)
I've been feeling all sorts of movement from the rug rat lately. I hadn't really felt anything until the day after my last doctor's appointment. I was sitting in my chair at work, and I guess I was in the right position and she was in the right position because I felt little taps for about ten minutes. I've been feeling her most every day since then. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Robb and I found out that we are having a girl. :)
The job is going okay. I mostly like the people that I work with...but gossip seems to be the theme of the day...every day. So, I am learning to ignore it. So far, I have managed to not share very much of my life with these women. Sad that is has to be that way...but I really don't feel as if I can talk openly with them. I think it bothers them, because one of them said to me, "I'll be glad when you've been here long enough that we can talk about you." I was a little taken aback with that statement...but I let it go.
My new church family is wonderful. They've made me feel so welcome. My husband and I have been participating in couple's Bible studies at the home of one of the elders. Last night, we sat around outside until it was dark singing. It was really nice. I guess there were four couples there, along with some of the teenagers. I had a really good time. I love it when we as Christians can gather together and socialize and sing and have a Bible study and not have to worry about what non-Christians think of us.
I love being married. It has been an adjustment, learning to live with a man, but it has been fun. :)
Pappasito's isn't really that good???? What??? Well, the one next to me is A-mazing! Their fajita chicken and guacamole are my personal favorites ever. The chicken is marinated with something that is just addictive. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
