Well, I've updated my blog w/pics. Things are going great for us. I've been a little down the past couple of days b/c Loren (my sis) and Brenna (my niece) just left after a fun stay with us. Life is busy, but fun. I love my babies waaaay more than myself. Having children just makes me appreciate the story of Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac so much more. What amazing faith he had in God. I pray that mine could hold up to such a test...but I can't imagine the emotions he must've experienced as he climbed that mountain and prepared the altar. Praise God for his example of faithfulness and trust.
Daphne...congrats on your newest addition!!! I just looked at the pics on your blog...he's so cute!!! And Ava looks just like you. :) Bet Kyle's excited to have a boy, huh?
great post- you look amazing girl! the kids are just adorable! i think that in one of the pictures i saw an athens throw on your couch. we have one too, lol!
Corbin Glenn is here! He was born on Sunday, September 21st. Everything went really well. One of the hardest things for me was being away from Ava. Thankfully, between her cousins and her Nanna, she didn't even miss me! :) We're all doing great...I'm just dreading my parents' departure on Sunday. Thanks for the love and prayers! I posted pics on our blog...since I've never figured out how to do it here. So, just click my "sweet girl" link to check him out. :)
He is so cute!!! I love that hair! My sister's oldest can't keep her hands off my little nephew either. They just love them too much! I am glad you are doing well!
Haha I didn't know Kyle knew although not surprising since hes with Scott all the time! Yeah we just started telling cuz I went to the doctor on Monday.
Congrats on Corbin!! You can talk to me anytime you want!! :) Julie's levels were at 13. I wandered why we couldn't just do sunlight either, guess my doc was being overprotective. she was at 12 when he decided to do the light box. go figure!
Ava is sooooo cute! And Corbin is just adorable! love that blonde hair. You look fabulous btw. Tell Kyle hello for us! Shame we don't at least live in the same state...our kids are so close in age!
Lots of painful contractions (which I didn't have with Ava), every other sign you could think of...but still no baby. Today is the big due date, and I have an appt. tomorrow. Hope for the best! We're getting anxious. It's so exhausting to have a toddler, live in Florida's hot, humid weather, and be 9 months pregnant. Well, hopefully he'll be here soon! :)
I know how you feel girl! I had contractions and the whole nine yards for two weeks off and on! The good part about that was I walked into the hospital at almost 4 cm...do your labor work at home I say! We will be praying for you!
Oh, that's totally fine! I had actually already wondered that, so that's good we won't have 2 kids named alike! :) What are y'all planning on naming him? Has your family come down yet?
I am so hoping that we can come home for Thanksgiving...but gas prices may dictate that! We won't make any real plans till later in the fall. We miss all our loved ones at University :)
I need to find some birth announcements. I'm looking for something that looks nice w/o breaking the bank. Anyone got suggestions? I've done the Google search, and that's just plain frustrating. Soooo....any ideas would be great! Thanks!!!
Target has some really cute ones-if you have time to make your own. I think I got a box of 50 announcements for $19.99 and I LOVED them! Hope you're feeling well!!!
not sure if you would be interested in a digital announcement, but a friend of mine used firstannouncement.com to send out her baby announcement. I believe its free, but I haven't researched it completely. Just an idea!!
We had some done locally by a client of Jamie's...sorry that's no help.
I'm so excited to hear about the arrival of your sweet baby!!! Can't wait to see pictures.
My mom and I made both of our girls' announcements, which is very affordable if you have some of the basic supplies already (or someone you can borrow from). Depending on how many you need and if you saw a design you like, I could make them for you and bring them down in two weeks when I'm in Tampa for the Ladies' Weekend.
With Ava, we used a local stationary boutique and had them do them. I have looked at the ones at shutteryfly.com. They have regular baby announcements and also "designer" ones. If you want just a regular announcement, you can also look at walmart.com.
Daphne! So good to hear from you! Have enjoyed reading your posts! Especially the one about Ava constantly needing you. I know your words will ring back in my head someday...Lord willing...Congrats on your soon new arrival!
I've been thinking about you! Brad and Tiffany Murrell had a baby shower after school the other day. Their little Luke is due in about three weeks. Hope everything goes perfectly for you!
I have my announcements still from a boutique store. I paid $50 for them half price. I ended up sending out Christmas cards with his picture on it for my announcement. These are very cute and need a good home. Let me know if your interested and I can post or email a picture.
Well, we are counting down the days until our baby boy arrives. I'm 36 weeks, and SOOO over it. I am, however, soaking up every day I have w/Ava before he's born. I know I won't have as much one-on-one time w/her once he's born.
We had a sonogram done today, and he looks to be healthy. They estimated that he weighs right at 6 lbs right now, which is 37th percentile. I'm fine with that...seeing as my sister informed me today of a gal she knows who just gave birth to an 11--yes, ELEVEN--lb. 5 oz. baby. That woman is now my hero...and on my prayer list.
I know how you feel! I am 17 weeks and sooo over it! :) Are y'all telling the name? 11.5 pounds?? Oh my! Ava was 8 pounds and that was 2 weeks early...I would hate to know what she weighed at 40 weeks! But big babies run in our families (Jonathan and I were both 9.3 pounds and Jonathan's brother was over 10 pounds)! How are Amanda and Bradon doing? We need pictures! :)
We'll be thinking about you! Enjoy those last moments with just you and Ava...it'll be amazing how much older and bigger Ava seems once your little boy arrives.
I loved spending time with you and Ava last week (seems too long ago to just be last week.) Thank you again soooo much for the help! You were a lifesaver!
Your time with Ava will not be cut short--even if it is one on two now. Just include her in all your chores and read to her while you nurse...she'll soak it up. I never felt that I lost any time with mine (the new baby or the older kids)...perhaps it is perspective, but I just found more ways to include the older children...and the baby is always right on me, so I never had to worry about giving him/her attention...
Time may not multiply, like love, but your ability to make the most of it will :)
I know what you mean...boys names are much harder. We had 3 go to names for girls and we couldn't agree on any for the boys until recently. You'll find a good one...Andrew is pretty stinkin' good though!
