Thanks for all the prayers my family really appreciates it.
please keep praying for Maria's mom and their family. she is still in ICU with an infection and they can't figure out what's wrong with her. they're keeping her asleep with morphine and she can't keep any food down(and by food i mean ensure) it's stressful for them and maria told me she didn't feel like celebrating thanksgiving with us at work on tuesday(we're having our own thanksgiving feast..) because she doesn't feel like she has anything to be thankful for. (that made me want to cry) so please keep sending prayers to our Father on their behalf.
I love church and seeing everybody there. it is very encouraging to me.
christmas is coming and i think i have everything that i want to decorate with. i'm really excited to decorate our new home.
thanksgiving is on thursday and GOD has been amazing once again and has overfilled my cup. :)
my grandfather is in the hospital with a broken knee cap. it will take 8-10 weeks to heal and he will probably be in the hospital that whole time. There are some other issues regarding him and his health and I would really appreciate you praying for my family during this time. we need to go see him and take care of some things, but i'm not sure i'll be able to get off work. so pray for that as well. thanks
it was a great sunday. i got to eat lunch with friends, feel smart and help somebody at the same time, and hear 2 great lessons. the first was about marriage and the second was about how we as christians are subject to the government. it was EXCELLENT. some of my favorite points were,
1)our citizenship is in heaven
2)even if we live in a socialist country we can still worship God and bring others to him
3)God has always made things work for his people
4) psalm 2(read it-it's perfect for those who are really angry about the president elect)
i tutored a kid today...i hope i helped but i didn't get a lot of feedback.
i bought us a new trash can at target. along with 2 ornaments(yes i'm starting christmas shopping early) and stuff for my secret santa at work and a stocking hanger for lily.(it's a dog with a sparkly santa hat on...very cute)
3rd annual christmas party december 13th. mark your calendar TODAY! more details to come....
car shopping on tuesday-i may go home with a new car
changing my name on thursday and all that jazz
lily is getting a brother. he's a little over a week old-and we'll get him around christmas. he's part australian shepherd and part lab. he's so tiny right now. he's black with a white tipped tail and a few white spots.(the opposite of lily) we have 2 names picked out. tux (because he's black and white) or orbit (the ex mascot of the astros..surprise surprise) what's your vote?
have a fantastic week. praise God for all His blessings!
LOL i wonder who picked orbit ;)
fatima likes tux.
i like tux too, but didn't you get to pick lily?
maybe you should let him pick this one lol ....no no no..Jenny you pick..ur the woman ( love fatima ;) )
so i'm making a political post. if you have something to say, that's fine but dont leave me comments about how wrong i am. don't spread negativity.
i was not that invested in this presidential election. maybe because i got married 2 weeks before and most of my time leading up to it was consumed by wedding planning. maybe it's because it's hard for me to get invest my trust in people who lie to get what they want. (p.s. all politicians lie-not just the "other" side) i also remember that it takes more than 1 person to screw things like this up. obama is not going to destroy our country single handedly...and in regards to things like abortion-it's not the government that needs to change-it's the people that need to change their minds about it. this might be the wrong attitude to have, but because of the mindset of our country, it doesn't matter if abortion is legal or not, people will still get them.
i guess what i'm trying to say is, it's not really one person that is causing the moral decline of our country. we should be taking action as christians to be examples and to teach.
i may do more praying in the next 4 years than i have in my 22 years combined.
our citizenship is in heaven not here-lets try and take as many people as we can with us. WE are the ones who can introduce people to change. (since CHANGE seems to be the key word lately..)
and besides...we're not even guaranteed tomorrow. who says we'll even get to january? :)
p.s. i'm stealing this from his blog.
Bottomest line:
God is still in control and always will be. I read the back of the Book. Don't panic. we win.
that is exactly the right attitude to have! abortions were happening before they were "legalized" and they will continue to happen until we change people's hearts.
