First. My great grandpa Beavis (Mom's mom's dad) passed away monday. He was in his mid to late 80's and quite honestly was ready to pass away. Please keep my mom and grandma especially in your prayers.
Second. Please pray for the families of Dennis Rodden (19), Sean Valentine (19), Mandy Jahn (27) and her two young children (3 and 11 months), and "Tiny" (37). As their families embark on a year of firsts, and this week being the first Thanksgiving without them.
Grundy county has had a rough few months since August. The loses of those six have been felt alot throughout the community.
Third. I am having my four impacted wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow. I'm worried, especially because my jaw has been hurting to eat, talk, yawn, smile, etc this last week and a half. I've heard stories of eating pizza the next day and others of being out for a week. I'm trying to think positive. However, I do not deal well with pain (and still dealing with shoulder).

I had a GREAT experience. I took a long nap after surgery and was talking on the phone that night. I had to watch what I ate for a day or so, but was great!
I'm sorry to hear about your mom's grandpa. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. I had two of mine out a few years ago...I still need to get the other two done. It's not too bad in and of itself...it's the impact on your jaw that I'm concerned about for you. Funny yours has been a little worse recently...mine has been, too, just the last week or so. :(
In short summary. I was in a car accident last friday night. MMy fault. rearended guy in frnt. he and wife are okay. i saw orthopedic guy yesterday. Said its a sprained shoulder/ possible brucitory sac something in there and a cotusion(sp?) to wrist. Physical therapy for 3 weeks. currently wrist is wrapped for some support. it hurts to grip. or even type this! they gave me an anti inflammatory medicine. sadly i can not take ibuprofen - motrin/advil because its too similar. tylenol won't help so im stuck to deal with the pain. mom thinks it needs time to get into my system. i hope so. i had such a hard time falling asleep last night!
Second. I just got back from oral surgeon. i have four fully impacted wisdom teeth that will be taken out Nov 26 at 9 am... Also my jaw opens to the side, and is only at 32 mm vs normal is 40-42. (this is alot more then it was before my Chiropractor helped me out) Hopefully teeth will solve issue, if not in 6 months then time to take a deeper look at it. so now i must run to work.. weee
I had two hard impacted (under bone) wisdom teeth! It wasn't as bad as all the horror stories I heard. I didn't even have any bruising and I bruise really easily.
They're going to take your wisdom teeth out with your jaw like that? I'm surprised. My dentist has been after me to get mine out - and I planned on doing it this year (we set the money aside in our flex speing account and everything). Then my jaw thing happened. Now that it is doing better, I asked my dentist two weeks ago if I should go ahead with it, and he said NO, it might set me back too much. Incidently, I am opening to 34 mm now, but before the PT I was only at about 22mm, so I know how you feel!
We've been without a computer for a while so I just saw this! I am so sorry to hear about the accident and your injuries and the upcoming dental work. Let us know how things are going.

I know im behind in doing this. Im actually sitting in Philosophy class. We are watching a movie, and im very disappointed in the content. Thus I am rebelling :)
So heres eight quick facts about me
1. I am going to Floria for my fall Break. Which starts ONE week from today :)
2. I met this really nice guy at school and have been talking to him alot and hanging out after classes
3. I have been sick for a month now, part of this is because i had mono at the beginning of my junior year and it destoyed my immune system
4. I would LOVE to buy the new Camaro when it comes out next Spring! but I will have to wait for that one
5. If I had more time I would take cooking/baking/cake derating classes at JJC
6. I have been teaching English for Spanish speakers all summer and absolutely love it

tell me everything and anything you know about it please. I fear I am showing symptoms (i.e. today i couldn't open my mouth very wide for almost the entire day. I went to my chiropractor for my back and neck and shoulder, and he worked on the muscles some and i am able to open my mouth more now, but it hurts an awful lot and i fear tomorrow it will tighten back up) he told emt o try to relax and to massage it myself, I have a hard time inflciting pain on myself. so it shall be interesting to see what happens. but please teach me about what you know :) thanks
good news is i dont have strep. bad news is that the RN at lewis didnt give me an antibiotic so i continue to fight whatever it is ihave. second time being sick since school started.. not good :// if i dont feel bettter i am ging back on thursday to see the doctor from loyola. homework to finish and then bed :)

I had TMJ - fixed my bite with three years of braces and a tooth implant to replace a tooth I was missing from birth, but it has gotten better for the most part.
