"All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Tim. 3:16

Well, hello there stranger. Now, if you can't do better than me on this thing that is pretty sad. Sorry you are feeling bad, I hope you perk up before having to travel. Can't wait to see you two. Love ya!
Today is the day! I finally get to meet Hailey's parents, Rich and Dawndi (Dawndy? I probably should have found this out by now...:P)! I'm only a tad bit nervous. Everyone says that they're awesome people, and I can't wait to meet them!
Some people asked in Hailey's blog how her meeting my family went, and the answer is that they loved her! But who thought it would be otherwise? ;)
We're also just days away from being in Disneyland! Hailey is very disappointed in me. There are a lot of rides that I haven't been on and experiences I haven't experienced. I've never been on Small World, Peter Pan, or Star Tours. I've also never eaten a Micky Mouse ice cream while at Disneyland. And there were several other things that just confuzzled Hailey as to how I'd never done them. Small World is closed, so I don't get to do that, but I'm sure I'll be educated in everything else in quick order.
I am so excited for this trip. I've known about it for a month and a half or thereabouts, and it's just been the highlight of my anticipation. I love Disneyland...but I think I'm most happy about getting to spend nearly a whole uninterrupted week with Hailey. :) This will be the most magical trip to Disneyland I've ever taken!
Dawndi and Rich are very sweet! You will love them and vice versa! Are they going to Disneyland with you? Are they in town from Idaho? You must eat a Mickey Mouse ice cream if you are American. :)
you know mindle, i love sitting behind you and hailey in church. it makes me smile every time. :) have fun in disneyland and live it up, hailey will definitely be a good host. :)
Yes, you are indeed also the Happiest Man on Earth, I believe. And the luckiest. You have got one of the brightest gems on this planet, and I think you know that. Cherish her, for I love her as much as you do... just in a different way.
So this year, Hailey's birthday party fell on Easter. The Kenyons wanted to throw Hailey a big surprise birthday party for her 21st, which is apparently a tradition in the Kenyon household, and since Hailey is practically blood, they wanted to continue the tradition. But, nobody would come since it was Easter! Thus, the most surprising birthday party plan was hatched.
Step 1: Have a surprise birthday party on night before her real birthday. Celebration is over, Star Wars cake was devoured, all is right with the galaxy. Right? ;) I mean, who celebrates a birthday twice?
Step 2: Wait two weeks. It's WAY past her real birthday. Who celebrates a birthday two weeks later?
Step 3: Ask her on to go on a date at the same time that the party is scheduled for. You can't be having a surprise birthday party if you're on a date, right?
Step 4: Have someone's husband disable Hailey's car at work so that she can't come home so that the guests have time to arrive.
Step 5: After someone's husband "fixes" the car, have all the guests gather around the front door so that when she arrives you all shout "SURPRISE!" so loud that someone's baby is traumatized for the next fifteen minutes.
Hailey really was surprised, and we all had a great time. Freda Fike made the cake for the party, and it really was good, very big, and quite pretty. I think she is a worthy successor to Mario, although I haven't gotten to eat one of Freda's wedding cakes yet.
I feel like I've got to express this; over the past (relatively large) number of months, I've been getting closer and closer to Tony and Saundra. And the longer I get the know them, the more impressed I am with them. They are true friends, and they are so genuine and honest in their friendship and Christianity. Since becoming their close friend and starting to date Hailey, the whole Kenyon household has opened their home to me and are treating me as though I'm just part of the family. I look up to Larry and Sylvia with so much respect, and it warms my heart to see the real, loving, Christian home they've all built. From the bottom of my heart, I thank God and all of them for them being part of my life.
It sounds like a great time! They are a wonderful family. :-) I hate that I had to miss it! I had been looking forward to it all week. Glad she was really surprised. :-)
YAY! And that's awesome. It almost makes up for how I forgot her birthday this year... | : Well, I didnt forget it, I just missed it. Just as bad though... I'M SORRY HAILEY! I still love you.
So, do you guys remember this post I made? And everyone was wondering what I was so happy about?
I was happy about getting to see Hailey for our second date. I still get that way when I think about getting to see her again.
Hailey Bailey Boo, I miss you! Haha. :)
Edit: So, I didn't think you could see the timestamp of a person's comment post on Pleonast, so I was installing software and stuff into Firefox and was going to post a tutorial on how to post a timestamp with your comments and all of this stuff, and then I decided to type "Pleonast time stamp" into Google, and I found out if you hover your mouse over a person's name by their comment, it shows you the time stamp!
I knew it must've been about a girl, I just didn't know which girl. You picked a good one. (And she's got a great last name!) How are things in Phoenix? How's the job? Do you have Smash Bros yet?
Hey, this is Hailey's friend, Heather. I'm Ben Sautter's sister. You guys used to hang out a while ago I think. Anywho, it's really nice to meet you. You have a really great girl there =)
Chelsie is going to get what she asked for! Cornhole is a game that's very similar to Horseshoes, but a lot easier to manage! Basically, there are two boards about 30 feet apart that are elevated at one end and have a hole cut in it. You throw corn-filled canvas baggies (basically bean bags) at one board while you're standing by the other board. If the bag lands on the board, you get 1 point. If the bag goes in the hole you get 3 points. You can play 1 on 1 or 2 on 2. There are a few other nuances, but that's the main idea. It sounds so simple, but it is actually quite fun and addicting! Practically the entire Valley congregation was hooked on it for a while.
Courtney was right; I did forget to mention my visit to Harris Dental! I'm not saying this because Courtney is my friend; I mean this sincerely. The people at Harris Dental are awesome, and I don't think I've ever been to a medical professional's office and felt like I was in more professional and caring hands. They took awesome care of me. I highly recommend this dentist office to anyone within driving distance!
Hailey and I went to the Desert Botanical Gardens on Saturday! It was quite lovely, and I had a wonderful time, although it was a little short. Afterward, we went to the Mystery Castle (that almost nobody has heard of). It's a really eccentric house built by a dying man in the '30s! It's quite worth the $5 admission/tour! Then we went to Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe for lunch. If you've never been there to eat, you're missing out on some of the best soul food you're likely to get in the Valley!
Alright, enough blogging. I'm starting to get too into this; I should be in bed, but I'm not. *waves an angry fist at Pleonast*
Thanks for the explanation! I had never heard of that. As far as taking a picture of the trash pedestal, I am not so sure I want to be seen photographing such a thing. lol. j/k
I think the dentist office is a little far to drive. I was looking for something less than 1500 miles away lol. Mystery Castle looks cool. Maybe Kristy and I will have to check it out.
Driving distance: in the continental United States. We seriously have patients that live in California, Nevada, Seattle, Utah, Georgia, Tennesse, Rhode Island, Canada and Paris! Okay, the one that lives in Paris only visits when she is in town to see her parents, but the other do travel to see us! PS- I'm sending you an email with a computer problem that you might be able to solve.
Hi Mindle this is Gregg's mom! Deb I read that you were wanting to get caught up on Lost on Courtney's page, I didn't realize that it was you! But I wanted to tell you that even watching lost I stay lost and others have told me since they are going in the future, as well as the past, they are lost in "Lost" also!!! Take care!
