So...I started my new job last Tuesday, and it feels good to both be back at work and to be back working with people I've known for a few years. It kind of felt like coming home when I walked in to the office.
Now I'm off to Tallahassee for Homecoming, and as always, I'm sure it will be an adventure. Thankfully I was able to take Friday off as planned to go get some errands done on Friday before all the festivities start.
Not too much else is going on...traveling all over the place of course, but that's nothing new for me.
Happy Birthday to a dear friend of mine on Friday!!! (I doubt I'll be posting again before then, so I thought I'd mention it)

So I still haven't been able to figure out what I'm going to do for a job, but I'm checking in to some things. I'm really hoping to stay in Tampa if it all works out. I did manage to get away this weekend which was great. I escaped up to Tally to visit a friend for a few days. We did some photo shoots in our Civil War attire and went to some antique stores and a softball game. It's been fun and very relaxing...minus when I got pecked on the toe by one of the chickens I was feeding. I've had a blast though and am sad to have to head back to the real world of job hunting...oh well...have to pay the bills somehow.

It's 3:30am and we're finally about to get on the road to North Georgia for the next few days. It's going to be a long night/morning.
I just needed to get away for a few days...and at the event I'm going to, there's a special guest--VP Cheney. This should be interesting.
Quote of the day: Lack of sleep...4 people in the U-haul cab again...it's going to be interesting! (Yeah, I can't come up with a quote this early in the morning)
Made it to Washington after a nice long day of flying...and having my last flight cancelled. I got put on a flight that left two and a half hours later. Now we're all just sitting around watching a movie...I'm thinking I should've already been in bed, but oh well. I seldom get to see these folks, so it's nice to hang out with them a bit.
Tomorrow is my friend's wedding, which is going to be great. It's outside, and the place is beautiful.
Thanks for the birthday wishes Ceel!!!!
