We had a little change in plans... We decided to head out last night... We left at 7:30 (eastern) last night...Brandon drove to Talahasse... then I took over (about 11:00 central time) and drove to Baton Rouge....we got there about 6....I think! Stopped for Breakfast & switched off again & made it into Liberty around noon.... WHEW! 17 hours in the car!!! The girls didn't sleep near as well as I was hoping...they were "too excited to sleep!"
The funny thing was that my parents had no idea we were going to be here! They thought we were coming tomorrow for lunch... boy were they surprised! My sister & brother knew though.
I'm going on 2 hours of sleep since Monday...I think I should be in bed instead of on here!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Talk to you later!

Head home?????
I'm not sure when we'll be leaving to head back home...I want to come back pretty quick & try to get everything all settled back down before things get crazy again. As soon as January gets here it'll be wild! Mom will be here January 3rd or 4th.... January 5th I'll have my eye surgery. Mom has to drive me around a few days. ;) What would we do with out our moms??? The same day, Makenzie starts school. WHEW!
Well...I've got to go clean this house! I'm exhausted...but rather than doing what I needed to do today I chose to paint... I wanted to do it before we left for Texas...
Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Guess we'll be seeing some of y'all.... if you want to get together while we're in Texas, please let me know! Either on here, e-mail me, or text me (936-558-7375).
YOU'RE COMING TO LIBERTY ON THANKSGIVING NOW???!!! You don't know how excited that makes me. Vurrry Vurry excited! And I think you should go back... NEVER!
You're having lunch with my mom. That is so not fair. :) Maybe we can get over to Humble for church when y'all are there, or something. I hope I get to see you and you get to meet Jeremy!
By the way, when in there are you going to the Liberty church?? Is the church where you grew up not good enough for your once a year visit or what?? And we have a new preacher and he is really good. And did I mention you grew up there so everyone would probably like to see you?
You're flying to NYC on Dec. 10? I'm flying to NYC on Dec. 9. I've always wanted to go see the Christmas decorations, sooooo this year my sweet husband is taking me. I'm so excited!
Hey, maybe we can get together on that Wed you are in CS. I'm having my lasik that Thurs. I'll text you my number. I just got back from NYC and I'm jealous!!! Have so much fun!
So I wasn't just being a wimp about the muscle I pulled a month ago....
I went to the doctor today because it was still hurting... and I started getting scared with people telling me I might have a hernia or something!
She thinks that I sheered the muscle at my pelvic connector bone! (Something like that...I can never remember if I've got it right or not....) Anyway, I'll be on steroids & high doses of motrin for a while... She said it should be about 3-6 months for recovery!!!!!!!! WOW! If there is no improvement when I get back from Texas we'll have to look at some more serious options. yikes! So no running for me for quite a while I guess...
So yea...I'm not real happy. Could be worse though.... at least I have legs with muscles to pull......right?
And stay tuned... I'm going to be posting my (already REALLY full) schedule sometime this weekend... Then any of you who want to can make plans!
Yikes! That doesn't sound like fun!! And you're right - at least you have legs with muscles to pull ;) We'd love to see you when you're here!! I'll be off all next week, so I won't be able to check pleo more than likely :'( but if you have a few spare minutes you can call my cell and we can try to work something out (even if it's just a visit to Kleinwood when ya'll are here)...my cell is posted on my page (you should be able to see it because you're listed as a friend) :)
Yuck! Pulled muscle that just stinks. Hope all gets to feeling better and like Jessica said we would love to see you and the kiddos. Be safe on the way to Houston
Makenzie had a full day at the Montessori Charter school today!
It took me a little over 40 minutes to drive there. We had her there about 8:45 - drop off is 8:30 - 9:00. When I was getting her dressed I thought she was SOOOOO cute & looked SOOOOO big that I cried... Then when I saw her walking down the sidewalk with her teacher...I cried again. Well, I don't know if you'd call it crying... I have this issue with laughing instead of crying... so it was a strange laugh with tears... But whatever. Annie cried the whole time... and was whiny alllll day! She sure missed her sister!!!
Makenzie was thrilled with the school. She absolutely LOVED it. She did great. I got to talk to her teacher & the head of the school & they said she did great & had a wonderful time. They said she could visit for another full day anytime she wanted before she starts in January! Of course, she wants to go back tomorrow......
Anyway, it was a huge success & I just had to share a picture of my little school girl princess. Or my big girl...... whatever.
Yea...those are rhinestone buttons... and the shoes have silver crowns on them. She's gotta haver her little bit of bling bling you know!
And I promise I'm not ignoring people... I just don't get on here much. I check to see if I have any new comments & move on... I need to catch up with everyone's blogs sometime soon!
Wow, hope it all continues to go well. Justin would have started K before Michaela was 1, so I'm glad they've had the time together with him hsing. I'm sure Annie is going to miss Makenzie very much!
Even though she is the cutest little school girl in the world, I'm still wondering why she said "Get married, Sara!" when I was on the phone with you. Hmmm Maybe Matthew talked to HER about my Christmas present ;)
Be glad I know you're super busy getting ready for your trip or you'd be here making ornaments! *L* I don't know how to tie a pretty bow, but somehow, they look good. Attaching the wood covered steel twisty things was easy too. But now, I've got to figure out how to make the seashells stick on the bows. I'm not too confident in the glue gun...
Wow! I've been putting off checking people's blogs for a while. I kind of check one or two every couple of days. Today, yours won. You're going through a lot of changes. The school sounds nice. I hope it works out. I see you'll be in Texas in a few days. That's great! Maybe we'll get to see each other.
Nothing too much going on around here....yet we are SO BUSY!
Today is the day I take Makenzie to meet her teacher! We go after school (4:00) so there won't be any kids there...but she'll get to see her classrooms & meet the teacher... Tomorrow is the big day - she'll go ALLLLL DAY! Then January 5th she'll start!
We went to the movies yesterday with Bliss, Savannah & Drake to see Madagascar 2. I laughed the entire time. It was good to do something with them - it's been a while! (Bliss - we should do that more often!!!)
I seem to have pulled a muscle in my groin....a week and a half ago. Let me tell you....... IT HURTS! I've "taken it easy"...but apparently I need to do absolutely nothing for a while... *sigh* Anyone who knows anything about me should know I can hardly sit still for 5 minutes much less just do nothing! I've never pulled a muscle there before...and I am NOT enjoying this...it's very frustrating!!!
This morning Annie got in trouble....again... I told her she really needed to try to obey the 1st time and she cut her eyes up at me and said "yea....it makes God happy when I obey".... She KNOWS... she just likes to test me. ALL. THE. TIME!!!!
We finished up soccer. We LOVE soccer. Makenzie has sooooo much fun! I wanted to sign her up for basketball...because I know she'd love it too...but Daddy says no. :( Maybe next time.
Anyway, here is a picture of her team:
And her 2nd trophy (which she is very proud of!)
We had a little get together with our neighbors on Monday night - most of them didn't have to work on Tuesday...Brandon did though. Anyway, we just had a little fire pit in the neighbor's driveway... we took stuff to make s'mores - booooy did the girls like them! Annie got more in her hair than anything... and she ended up wanting to eat hers separated...not as an actual s'more... Makenzie ate them up though! So did Brandon!
And not much longer until we leave for Texas. I am so not ready for this! An entire month of being away from home...off schedule...hopping from house to house...it's going to be CRAZY! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!!! YAY!
We don't know our exact plans... The girls & I will be going here & there. Brandon will be staying with his parents & working from the office in The Woodlands. So far...here's what I've got:
Nov. 29th (Sat.) - Jay & Emily's wedding in Tyler
Dec. 2nd (Tues) - Christmas parade in Liberty
Dec. 3rd - 5th (Wed-Fri) - College Station to see Sara
Dec. 6th (Sat) - 5k in Nacogdoches with Sara
Dec 11th - 16th (Thurs - Tues) - NYC to see Chandra
Dec. 19th (Fri) - Whitney & Adam's wedding in Nacogdoches
We should be getting in on Thanksgiving day. Not sure when we're going to leave yet...we're still "discussing" that - ha!
Anyway...not much longer. I can NOT believe it has been a year since we moved here..... WOW - a whole year since I've been in Texas. Crazy!!!
I'd better get going...so much to do! Hope everyone has a great week!
I have the most beautiful nieces in the whole wide world. ps- when you go to to NYC will you go to Regis and Kelly so I can meet her vicariously through you?? And tell her I want her body for Christmas.
I will say I wish homeschooling had worked for you. We have really enjoyed our time together. My children are so busy now it is CRAZY! It has taken time, though. When we first moved here 7 years ago, we knew NO ONE! Now we are TOO involved, and have activities all the time with their homeschool friends!!!
i cant imagine being away from home for that long... going for a weekend trip makes me crazy thinking about how ill have to get back on schedule when we get back!!
hey...looking forward to the visit. sheri and dan will be here the week of thanksgiving and be leaving sometime friday if you want to see them before they go. they still don't have any answers about switzerland yet but it still looks like a possibility for them to move there in the spring so it may be the last time ya'll get to see them for a few years
