So yeah, I'm posting again.
I've been on a trip away from pleo as all of you can tell, and I don't know how often I'll be posting still. However, I feel like writing and just getting some things out.
I've lived in Bowling Green now about 2.5 years, and it's been such a learning process. Full of struggles and having my faith be built. I'm learning to move (phil.3:13-14) on and grow, that I have to be who God wants no matter what's happening in my life (Daniel, Joseph, Mary). To proclaim Him in word and deed. Sometimes that's not easy, but it's for the best. Sometimes, it causes lots of pain, but in the end, it will be well worth it. The thing is, I just HAVE to rely on Him. Have faith in HIM: His power, love, strength, plan and grace. He is faithful and will never leave me. He has a plan even though I don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going or exactly what I want. He knows and will show me. I am clay to be molded. I am Abraham, lead me.
I am having problems being content with the blessings He's given me and knowing that He provides my every need all the time, even though He's proven Himself over and over again.
Praise God for His love, mercy and grace! Praises to Him for He considers me, a sinful creature, who forgets the blessings He gives me each and everyday that He intended just for me.
Love you all! And hope all are well! I'm going into the Word. Prayers would be appreciated for continued faith in His purpose.
Keep that pretty smile and your chin up and your nose in God's word. We all become discontent, much to easily. Our society promotes that in so many subtle ways and we really have to fight it. But you can. Stick with your brothers and sisters in Christ and cast all your cares on the Lord. Everyday is a learning experience for all of us...even in our mid-50s! As long as we have breath, we can learn. Hang in there!
"...he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 24:13
Hang in there, my dear! I love you so very much, and wished I could be there with you so we could encourage each other in this journey we call life. You know if you ever need me, I'm just a phone call away. *praying for you!*
I'll be moving to BG after this year of school. I've only visited Lost River but will probably visit the other congregations as well. Where do you worship?
We had a white squirrel that frequented our yard on Kenton. I should have stolen him and brought him to Louisville and started a new colony of albino squirrels there...
Who's your best "girl" friend on Pleo? Or at least your top five? I've figured up a way to show them you appreciate them this holiday season! Check out my blog!

Yuppers, I'm pretty sure I know where the book is now! :D Did you finish book 5!?!? I"m like so into HP right now I started re-reading book 1! but I dunno if I'll have it finished before the next book comes. If not, oh well. Book 1 will be put back on the shelf ;) ....I just bought Preminition today! I love that movie! I've seen it in the theatres long time ago... I'll bring it with me when I come. Any other movies you can think of that you might want me to bring?
Well...
Today, I thought I would be tough and independent or something and rotate my tires by myself. So, I borrowed someone's car jack so I could at least jack up one side of the car and get it done.
I was pumped! I got out the new wrench I bought and went to work loosening the nuts! They were loosening up pretty easily, which should have tipped me off, but it didn't. I got one jack under and up and tried to take the nuts off the rest of the way. Well, I discovered, I was just taking off the plastic covers of the nuts and not the nust themselves. Then, I found out my wrench was American and the nuts were metric! WHY ARE THERE METRIC NUTS ON MY AMERICAN CAR? I don't get it!
So, then my roommate get home and tells me that I can get my tires rotated at Wal-Mart for $1.50 a tire. So, I'm like, "Hot Dog! Skip this!" I go to Wal-Mart and sign up for the tire rotation and lifetime balance, where I can pay a one time fee and then go to Wal-Mart and get my tires balanced for free everytime after that! Again, I was pumped! So, I hub bubbed around Wally world for about 30 mins, and then, went back to get my car.
Well, they didn't do anything to it, because I needed both front tires replaced, a broken stud repaired and an alignment!!! Sigh.
I called my dad and talked to him. Then, I called Wal-Mart to find out what a Stud was. THEN, I called Sears and got an appointment with them to fix the stud.
Whitney, my lovely apartment mate, went with me so I could chill at the apartment until my car was finished; however, we ended up going to jewlery stores instead.
After my car was done at Sears, then I went to Wal-Mart again to get two new front tires. Got signed up for that. Called my roommate Amanda to come pick me up, went home showered and checked my bank account to transfer money. It said I had $70 less than I thought I had in there. I was flipping out just a little bit, but I had to go get my car; so, I didn't have time to do anything about it. Got my car. It cost more than I expected, but I had enough $; so, it turned out all right.
Then, I hung out with some friends because I said I would. Then went home and called my Bank's 800 #, did some math and discovered that we actually did have the same amounts.
All in all, the day cost $209.17 and a lot of unnecessary worry.
How was your day? And does anyone in BG know of a good place to get your car aligned?
haha, wow. Having dad and Tim around is nice, because I dont have to deal with that!!! Sorry it was so frustrating for you! Hope that it wont be that bad next time! love ya, and cant wait to see you!
What an ordeal! There's a tire and lube place on the corner of Scottsville and Lover's lane (next to the gas station). They were really nice to me when I had my oil changed and they give a 10% discount if you show your WKU ID. Might could call them as ask if they do the alignment thing.
great job! It's such a change, but I'm sure it's very nice to get this done on your own. Even if you did let others do it, you had to plan and scheme to get good prices and all that! Great job!
