Well, the holidays are over and its back to working a 5 day work week. This week is going to feel so long because the past few weeks, I haven't worked 5 days in a row! haha. I can't believe its already a new year, wow.
This is our second Christmas being married but our first Christmas with my side of the family. It was great because my sister was home from FC for the break!
We always play games but this year was much different because we busted out Bible Trivia.
Jeannene, Erica and I had fun at the end of the table goofing off! Jeannene had this great idea for taking a picture....
We saw "Marley and Me" which was a very cute movie. However, it really hit home since we just put Noah down last month. So if you go see it, make sure you bring a box of tissues for the end. We all cried our eyes out!
We went to Big Bear with the Mason's and Washburn's like we do almost every year. Here's the kids and then the adults:
We went sledding down the Mason's drive way. My dad took an AWESOME picture of Kacy and I coming down...we may have to use this for our Christmas card picture next year!
Anyways, hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years. Unfortunately, I ended up with a sinus infection on New Years and am still fighting it!

This is kind of a late update but Kacy and I had a great time in Phoenix with his mom's side of the family for Thanksgiving and his 25th birthday!
For his birthday, I surprised him and got him a black iPod nano. My parents and his parents also contributed to it. He was very surprised and said he even forgot that he had wanted one! haha!

The day after Thanksgiving, Kyle, Courtney, Tyler, Dana, Henry, Kacy and I took Grandma Elaine's minivan and went to Montazuma's Castle and Sedona.
We had a great time on our trip and enjoyed seeing some of Kacy's family!
So Kacy and I just got cable tv! We have had those rabbit television ears since we got married and finally decided to get cable. We knew in February that they would stop working and since our cable company was having a good special, we decided to get it. WE LOVE IT! It's amazing to have clear television with no static!
School is going okay...almost done with my first semester of grad school. I just finished a 15 pg paper and have 1 more to do. Unfortunately the last paper is a group paper and we haven't even started writing it, but have 2 more weeks till its due. Both of my finals are take home so I'm thankful for that!
Anyways, hope you all are doing well! Can you believe its almost Christmas? Where has this year gone???

That makes Kacy Marrs & my husband, Kyle Bridges cousins. (I'm still trying to figure out who Kyle is related to after being married for 3.5 years!) Oh & Elaine Valentine is who our baby will inherit her middle name from: Taylor Valentine.
Haha! Well, don't worry..it's not even CLOSE to a million here!! Yikes! I've heard the market is WAY higher out there. It's crazy how different each state is!
This weekend we found out that Kacy was able to get the time off needed for us to go to Phoenix for Thanksgiving to be with his mom's side of the family. The family thought we weren't going to be able to go and when we found out we could, we decided to keep it a secret and surprise everyone (except we told Kyle and Courtney since we knew we'd stay with them). It was a complete success and we really surprised everyone when we showed up this morning! I'll post pictures later.
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Today is also Kacy's 25th Birthday and we had fun celebrating it along with the holiday!!
On Tuesday nights at Chick-fil-A they have kids night and a lady does some awesome balloon animals. Kacy brought me home a turkey. =)

I love suprises. Not only do I love being suprised, I love suprising others! So I pulled off a pretty good early birthday suprise for Kacy. Kacy's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year and I wanted to do something special for him because he's turning 25. I wanted his birthday to be seperate from the holiday so last Thursday I suprised him.
I had the day off with him since I had worked Sunday and he thought we were going to spend the day in Los Angeles. While we were getting ready in the morning, I handed him a birthday card and had written in it that we were going to celebrate his birthday early and that he needed to load his dirtbike and pack some stuff for the night. He said "but I have to work tomorrow." and I said "no you don't" - he looked at me very puzzled but I was sneaky and had arranged it with his boss. His boss had put him on the schedule but knew he wasn't going to be there so it worked out great!
We went camping out in the middle of nowhere (somewhere past Palm Springs) with Kody and Jenny. We all really roughed it - we even slept in the back of his truck! haha. Kody, Jenny and I have had this planned since July! I'm glad we pulled it off and really suprised Kacy. Here's a few pictures...

Awww...you are such a good wife! I took Philip camping when he came from from combat skills training....we left early. i couldn't hack it. I could handle overnight though, i'm pretty sure anyway.
How fun! I called Kod on his way down there - I knew you all would have such a good time but he didnt tell me it was a suprise :) I'm sure it beat you taking him to get his nails done like last year... ha ha

Today is Sunday - the beginning of a new week. This week will be better than last week because there is no way it could be as crazy and sad as last week. Let me tell you what happend...
Several of you know that my parents have two dogs: Noah and Tucker. During the summer, Noah was diagnosed with a kidney disease. The doctors were able to modify his diet and he did pretty well. Well in the last month or so he's lost quite a bit of weight. The last week and a half he barely ate a thing and threw up quite a bit. Monday night my mom said the vet said there wasn't anything else they could do and he would probably only last a few days. I was at their house and before I left my mom said to say bye to Noah. That was so incredibly difficult and hard to describe. To sum it up, I cried like a baby and Noah was so cute - he licked my face while I hugged him and cried. They put him down on Thursday night. My mom said he went peacfully and Tucker is fine. We think Tucker must of known because he was pretty calm when they got home without Noah. He was 11 years old and a huge part of our family!
Then, Tuesday morning, my grandma Mable was at home and fell. She was dizzym got up and fell on her hip she broke about ten years ago. She didn't break anything but did fracture her pelvis which is very painful but won't need surgery. She was admitted to the hospital for a few days and ended up transferring to the nursing home I work at. She'll probably be there for a few weeks for therapy and then go home. I'm glad she's at my work so I can keep an eye out for her! She's definitely getting royal treatment since everyone knows she's my grandma! Please keep her in your prayers!!
The week before was good though because I found out I got A's on both of my midterms! I was so excited because I've never done that well on tests before!! I registered for my classes for next semester and got the ones I wanted thankfully.
Anyways, that's the craziness in my life! Here's to a better week!!
oh I loved your dogs!!!! I only had a short visit with them, but they protected us when we thought someone was in your house!!! remember that? haha. I am so sorry, I know what it is like to have a dog put to sleep. I have had several that were a part of the family. And I am glad to hear that you grandma is doing good! That is so scary! This week will be a good week! Like you said...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Love ya
I was with Philip when he had to put down his dog when we went to visit his family last summer. Lady had been a part of Philip's life since he was twelve. It was so sad, it was like she waited for him to come home. That is the only time in my life I've seen Philip cry. It was really hard. :(
aww I remember Noah and Tucker! I can't remember what they looked like though! I know they were big dogs. Do you have pics of them on facebook? So sorry about that! That is so sad.:-( I'm glad he isn't in pain. Poor thing.
