I hope all of you had an uplifting and encouraging Sunday morning. I did and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to meet with my brothers and sisters to sing praises and remember what our Lord did for us. The worship service is always so much better when your heart is in the right place and when all worldly thoughts are cleared from your mind. I am so very blessed to be part of a congregation full of loving and caring people who are doing their best to serve God and one day be in heaven. I can't wait to see all of you there!
I feel like all I have been doing lately is homework, but it will all be worth it. Of course for the grades, but also because I'm leaving on Wednesday to go to San Antonio to see Seth graduate from Basic Training!! I am SO excited to be seeing him in a few days; it has been a very long 6 weeks, and I know it's been even longer for him. I will be staying though Monday, which is when he leaves to go to tech school in Mississippi. Prayers would be greatly appreciated on his behalf, as well as on mine while we are apart for so long.
Have a great week everyone! Remember that you are a child of God and that this world is not our home.
Is he going to Keesler?? My grandparents lived in Biloxi forever. I love going down there but it has been MANY years. Glad that things are going well for you. I miss you and your family so much! Next time you come up you need to stop by. :)
We briefly were able to go home for an hour last Tuesday. On Wednesday we can go home to stay, but we may not have electricity or water, so we might not do that. Hopefully that will be up soon though. Could you have him call me on your phone, whenever he gets a chance. I feel bad we can't make it up there to see him, but we can't do that right now.
i remember when john and i were apart and how hard it was on both of us. i feel for you. i prayed every night that if john and i were supposed to be together that He would help us get through those times and He did. i can never doubt that john and i were meant to be together. i will pray for you both!
Hi Preshy! :) Hope you are having a great time with your Mister and celebrating his bday and graduation - YAY SETH! We miss you here and hope we get to have some more slumber parties soon! :) Also, great posty! I'm so glad you have such a sweet heart geared toward others and the Lord. :)
Well hello everyone! After over three months of not posting, I should probably let everyone know that I'm still alive and what not.
I'm back in College Station as of last Saturday..woohoo! Me and one of my new roomies are moving into our new duplex tomorrow! I'm so excited..I really love the place! I shall post some photos once we get the place somewhat fixed up. I am going back to Blinn in August and will be doing a Medical Office Specialist program that they offer. It should give me the skills I need to work in a medical office as a receptionist, or doing medical records or billing. I'm excited about that and I think it will be something good for me to do.
After moving in tomorrow, Alisha and I will be driving back up north, so I will probably see a lot of y'all at the Westside lectures!
"To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end."
- Ephesians 3:20-21
Hey lady! this is ashley mc - the silly one from Benchley. Hope you are doing great today! It was so nice chillin' with you a lil bit last night at din! Lookin' forward to gettin to know you more! :)
I don't think I remember you, but maybe when I meet you I will remember. Do you know Kelsey Holder? She is supposed to be my roommate but we could do 3 for sure! Call me so we can talk about it more. Anna Marie should have given you my #.
I apologize for not remembering you, I just remember meeting a lot of people that night. You HAVE to give Joyce a big hug for me when you see her! I miss her and we didn't get a chance to get together before I moved. :( Anyways, yeah, just call me, we will talk!
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
It is so easy to lose focus of what is really important while we are living here on this Earth. It is easy to only see the things that are around us, the here and now, and to completely ignore those things that we cannot see, that which awaits us when our days in this world are done.
So as a reminder to myself, and to those of you who read this, don't lose focus. The suffering that we may endure, and even the pleasure we may enjoy, is nothing compared to the eternal glory that we can experience if we keep our focus on the unseen things and live a life pleasing to our Father.
