This message was very loud and clear to me last night as we were driving home. Have you ever got the feeling that "someone" upstairs wanted to know if you were paying attention to the sermon or lesson?
So last night the service was on being thankful, right?
So as we were driving home last night about 8ish we were discussing what wonderful dinner company we had just a few short minutes ago. When all of a sudden we see to doe's just standing by the road grazing on the dead grass. Now normally I would tell Brett to honk the horn or he would have on his own however last night was different.
I couldn't tell him to honk the horn, nor could I move to do it for him. He didn't have enough time to react, except to slow down and try to move over into the other lane, alas it was not enough! WE HIT BAMBI'S MOTHER!!!!!!! Now having been scared nearly to death we pull over to look at what damage may have been done. I get out first because it is on my side of the truck and I don't see anything... no scratches, no dents, no busted out lights, nothing physically wrong! Talk about being thankful. We pulled back onto the road to see about the doe and as much as I hate to say it, she did not make it. Brett asked me what I thought we should do with her and I told him just to pull her off the road, so he did and we went home.
I wonder if that "someone" upstairs was checking on me to make sure that I am really thankful for what I say I am.
I was so thankful for the fact that 1) I wasn't driving 2) we were not in my car 3) there was no physical damage to the truck.
So upon getting home and calming down we realized 2 things were wrong 1) the front end of the truck is now out of alignment and 2) the blinker bulb is blown 2 minor easy things to take care of! THANK YOU JESUS FOR WATCHING OVER US LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!
(this post is not for sympathy just something to make you say hmmmmmm)
