i sure is. in a way. kuz i don't like school. but i won't be able to spend any of the break with my lovely. so it is also sad. and i'm not going to wintercamp. what are your plans for winter break?
A young man came to me at the mail center at my university a few days ago. He was a kind individual. One might assume he was Christian. After giving him his package, he proceeded immediately to open it. He beckoned me forward to see the contents of the package. Judging by his age and of the size of the box I assumed it was either a movie, cd, or book or novel possibly dealing with teen issues such as "Chicken Soup" or "Twilight." This was NOT the case. He unveiled a book that was black with a symbol I immediately recognized as the pentagram, a symbol for Satanism. The book was the "Satanic Bible." When I proceeded to tell him to have a nice day he immediately asked if I knew what it was. The truth was, I did not. I guessed that it was a book of devil worship and he, in his defense, said that it was a book designed to, "help one live life to the fullest..." as he put it. Why is it that when so many are lost in sin, they find it difficult to turn to spirituality? Some seek the worst kinds of pleasure for self-gratification. If Christianity is the largest religion in the world, why do we receive the most persecution? It is because of the fear and hate instilled in so many who need proof of a "God." You could prove to them over and over again that their is and you cannot make them believe. Instead, live your life in a Godly manner and show people how amazing your life is. It is not enough to speak about God and expect salvation for those around you and yourself. If you can gain one thing from this story it is this: Do not let the evil pressures of society damage and weaken your faith. Do not let your enemies triumph.
"He gives power to the weak, and those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." -Isaiah 40:29-31
i like that verse somewhere's that says "do not be suprised if the world hates you" or something like that. it's not exactly the most uplifting verse ever, but it's certainly a reality check when we're all "wo is me, everyone hates me kuz i'm strict"
I've got a question for some of you... Do you ever have a friend whom just started acting strange and wouldn't talk to you? After apologizing for something that you may or may not have done they still won't talk to you? What do yall think?
I used to always think I must have done something to offend them, but sometimes people are just so wrapped up in their problems they "tune out" others (sometimes just for a little while, but sometimes things are never "right" again). Hang in there!
Alright, just for fun (and because I'm bored!) we're going to do a little math riddle. Here it goes:
14 girls get on a bus, each girl has 7 backpacks, each backpack has 7 big dogs, per big dog there are 7 little dogs. How many LEGS are on the bus.
Hint: If you get under 10,000, you're not even close! And "there are no legs on a bus" gag doesn't work...have fun!!!
yah, it wasn't so bad this time- i think it's the fact that now i'm 18 and don't legally have to have a parent in the exam room with me. sometimes it can get kinda akward since my dad usaully takes me, and then my dad tries to tell the doc everything and gets stuff wrong... but now it's not so bad, kuz i'm a big girl, so i can do it myself!
