He actually decided not to wait to be induced. I ended up timing contractions through the Wed. night invitation. I guess he felt like he had some confessing to do because he responded to the invitation and came at 12:38 Thursday morning. He was 6 lbs 12 oz which seems downright tiny since his brother was 8 lbs 3 oz when he was born. He is a wonderfully content and laid back baby which is great because Jonah wants to be in his face loving on him constantly! He could not be happier and thinks that Sam is his baby. Here are a few pictures. I don't know when I will get around to posting more.
He is so sweet, Lori!! Such a cute little face! That last picture of Jonah hugging on him and looking up like a little angel is just precious! So happy for your family:) God has been so good:)
congratulations! i really was hoping to visit you in the hospital on friday, but chris was busy that day and i *really* didn't want to bring all three boys with me to visit (wouldn't have been much of a visit, i don't think!) with me, so i had to postpone seeing little Sam. he's so cute, though, and i can't believe how little he was! i dream of having a baby that's 2 lbs. less than the previous one. :) hope all is well and you're adjusting. jonah reminds me of sean when ben was born (and with jonathan)--he LOVES the babies and can't stay out of their faces. i have a feeling he'll always be a tough lover. :) can't wait to see you guys again.
Well, If I don't go into labor before Thursday be inducing me at noon on that day. Baby Sam will be here before the weekend! Yay! Prayers for a smooth delivery would be much appreciated!
I'm so excited for you! Are you feeling uncomfortable yet? Good luck with everything! Who will Jonah be staying with while you are in the hospital? I missed Luke so much while we were in the hospital with Lily! It was the first time he had spent the night away from home! :) Can't wait to hear al about it and see pictures of your newest little man.
Congratulations!! I saw the pictures that your mom sent around; Jonah looked downright pleased with his new baby brother. I can't wait to see little Sam in person! :)
My bathroom is complete! My wonderful parents came into town last week and helped us finish this project! A lot of the demo started in September of last year and we are just now finishing! While he was here my dad asked how many hours we thought went into that bathroom. The truth is I have no idea... A LOT! But it is done and I think it looks great! And the best part is now being able to shower on the main floor!!!! No more hauling Jonah up to the second story with me. Anyway, I will share a few pictures with you all....not that you care, but I am so excited!
Very, very nice, Lori!!! It looks wonderful! I'm so happy for you all:) I'm sure it's such a treat to have it done. You have actually been lugging two kids up the stairs for bathroom trips....great for exercise but wears the livin' out of ya:)
Great job to all of you!!!
I think it is time for some new pictures! Jonah has recently taken interest in coloring. Andy and I especially get a kick out of the face he makes when trying to take the lid off of his markers. I also have pictures of him with his first worm. The experience ended with the worm being pulled into two pieces. Nice.
We might have another Larry on our hands - just tell him to stick out the tongue too!! HA! Those are really cute - poor worm though - tough day for him! :)
When you decide to re-tile your bathroom you should A: try not to be six months pregnant and have a watermelon constantly in your way when you drop the spacers into the tub. And B: choose something significantly larger than subway tile. I seriously underestimated how time consuming this project would be. The good news is that this is the last major project on the main floor of our house. After that we move on to the laundry room in the basement and after that, hopefully we will be remodeling the second floor. I wish I could say I saw the end in sight....but I would be lying!
We have had a crazy week so far around here. It is vacation bible school week. The people who put this together clearly put a lot of effort into it and it has been great so far! I wish I could say Jonah was going to remember any of it. He is really learning to like bible class and always asks about it when we walk into the church building now.
He is also learning the names of some of his friends which is so sweet, but makes me just a little sad because I know he is getting so big now. I know I will get to experience all of the baby stuff again very soon, maybe even before I am really ready, but it is still hard to say goodbye to it for the first one. I know many of you moms out there know exactly what I am talking about. I know the day is coming way too fast that he will be too big and too busy just to cuddle with me and those times are so precious to me. I try to remind myself of this on those extra clingy days when I forget what it is like to walk through the house without carrying a child or having one tug on your pant leg.
Anyway, that is about all that is new around here. I will post pics of the bathroom if I ever get it all done! I hope all is well for all of you!
It seems like forever ago that Caleb was a baby. He's still pretty cuddly so I'm taking advantage of that. :) Can't wait to see the end results of all your hard work!
that is so sweet that he asks about bible class and knows some friends names. i don't think lily knows anyone's name outside of family. Although she could be saying some and we just don't understand! Sounds like you guys have done tons to that house. Hope you are enjoying it some too! :)
It goes by SO fast Lori! Seriously it kills me to think of Cade being in the 4th grade this fall and NINE!! Not to mention makes me feel older. :) With Logan, he will be three in November. Where does the time go??
