We had an extreme makeover in a city about 20mins. from me. I am not even sure if I watched it on TV. I want an extreme makeover!
I took the boys to see the progress on the Extreme Makeover House which is only a couple miles or less from my house. It was neat to see that they've got a beautiful house near completion in just a couple days, but there wasn't as much hustle & bustle as I thought there would be. We just missed a Veteran's day ceremony that ended right before we got there... if only I could've walked from home instead of driving about 5 miles away & waiting for a bus to shuttle us back ...anyway, it was still neat. Apparently the furniture will be moved in on Thursday so I think we'll go again sometime Thursday (but then again they're ahead of schedule so I hope we don't miss it) I overheard a phone conversation on the bus - at least some of the design crew were there for the veteran ceremony so she got to meet one of the crew.
The nicest thing was that the house is very nice - but not an outrageously enormous house like you sometimes see on the show. It doesn't look too out of place in the little village of South Mountain. I was glad they did that.
If you'll be in the area on Friday afternoon, the family is coming home for the reveal. I wish I could make it. Can't wait to see it on TV :)

The reveal of the Drumm’s new house will be Friday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Spectators are asked to arrive at 11 a.m.
The local edition of the show will air in January.
We found out yesterday that a home in South Mountain (in Franklin County - not where the South Mtn. fair is held) was chosen for a makeover! The crew showed up on Friday, they did demolition yesterday, and I might get to visit the site this week. I think that is really neat! I'll update if we manage to see anything :-)
Awww... I was so glad to be home and see people -- I forget how much I miss you and everyone else until I'm there. :) Megan told me that if I ever have any inclination to come back, I'm to tell her immediately so she can convince me to bring her along!
I miss those fall colors and the crisp, cool weather :-\. FL has been in a good temperature range for the last week, though. I'm thankful for that! Love you! :)
