It's almost holiday time! I'm hoping to start shopping today (we'll see if it happens :o)) I've had a good week, and yesterday was simply fabulous. Not to make you jealous, but here are the details:
6:30-3:15 work at the med center, including FREE ice cream sundaes at 1:00 (it's 'surgery week' or something)
3:30 slightly painful but wonderful massage
5:00 join Heather and Steven, eat supper at Ms. Ruby's, then go visit older couple with her.
7:30 come home, talk to my mom who got 2 DEER yesterday, and listen how my sister literally helped Dad gut and piece it (she's a tougher girl than me...)
9:00 Katy Joan comes over, we get to visit
9:30 finish Breaking Dawn, the last twilight book
Needless to say, it was a wonderful Friday. Hope I didn't make you too jealous.
Have a fabulous day yourself:o)
I am jealous!! Althuogh my Friday was pretty great too! 4 straight hours of family fun time!! ;-0 Yay for Julie!! And go Andie! She's a better woman than I am! ;-0
Missed you,Honey! We had a great time. Our singing was especially beautiful last night. Jordan and Torhi's pretty voices added quality to it. What a cute couple!!! As Jim says when family all leave, we have the Happy Lonesomes! Wish you could have been with us. Love you.
Hello! This week has been an adventure. Mom and Andie arrived Saturday afternoon, and we had a weekend of eating various chocolate stuff, hanging out and eating with friends, and then eating more chocolate. I worked a 1/2 day Monday, then arrived for my LASIK at 3:30 that afternoon. 2 hours later, I walked out with clear plastic "bug shields" taped over my eyes, and Mom and Andie drove us back to my apt. I took a couple of pain pills, and I do vaguely remember a few people who came by..:o) Mom said I thanked everybody ...over and over and over. :o)Tuesday morning I took the bug shields off, and went for my follow-up. He said that I was seeing almost 20/20, and Mom, Andie, and I spent the rest of the day running errands and finishing my birthday shopping.:o) Wearing sunglasses indoors was kinda funny, and I felt like I needed to explain to everyone that I had just had eye surgery. Overall, my vision is really good, with a light haze like I'm wearing an old pair of contacts. Thankfully, Heather and Steven offered to drive me to church tonight, which worked out great because I found out my eyes are really sensitive to headlights, which also have huge haloes and glares around them - I'm told this will go away over the next several weeks.
i tried to change over to the 'other' side, and auburn will always have a special place in my heart. but alabama will always come first for me. weird, i know
Yes that is one of many ways. Those websites at the bottom also work for a different way to donate money. Sorry it took so long to respond, I don't see that page when I log on usually as most of my entries are private. Thanks for your willingness to help!
Thanks for your greeting! I have been keeping up with you through your Mom & Dad. Hope your life continues to go well! Hoping to see you Thanksgiving!!! Love you.
Hello! I've been informed it's time for an update, so here goes....
I'm scheduled for LASIK Aug 11th. I'm very excited, and a little nervous. So if you have any horrific eye surgery stories...please keep them to yourself. :o)
My sister joined pleo - she's "soysauce" :o) I'd link her, but I can't remember how. She is a mighty fabulous sister, I have to say. She is also a pro at making chocolate chip cookies, which she sells by the batch. I talked to Mom tonight, and she was buying more shortening because Andie had 3 batches to make for tomorrow... :o)
It's been fun buying presents recently - we've got 5 family birthdays in 2 weeks time!
Happy Birthday! I came to your blog from hers. My daughter (she's 36) had LASIK done in January of last year. She did well and is very pleased with the result.
ha! that picture is great!!! thanks for taking the time to come by today. it was fun catching up. glad you survived the wedding and didn't have to sit by the hitchiker! happy birthday!!
I noticed (a couple days late) on Mrs. Steven's site that it was your bday. Hope you had a great one! And good luck with LASIK--I hope to get that done sometime in the next few years.
Lindsey! It's you! I couldn't figure out who you were....I'm excited. But also worried, 'cause I have so much JUNK to get DONE! UGH! lol. Hope all's going super for you!
I'll be leaving in about an hour with KT Byers, Em Frizzell, and Dan Sandor to head down to N'ville for the Friends show tonight. :o) Excited to hear my sis-in-law-to-be! Less than a month 'til Jordan and Torhi's wedding (June 23rd in Amarillo). I don't mind flying by myself, but it'll be fun to fly out there with Katy and her parents. We'll fly back into N'ville tuesday morning.
I have made some exciting purchases as of late - my first laptop and my first red high heels. The former was a little more expensive, but both buys were fun. The laptop is for Western this fall, and the shoes are for J&T's wedding. Thanks Heather and Steven for your help! :o)
I'm a little nervous to be a college student again this fall, but grateful for the chance to go back to school. My tentative major is dietetics.
Turns out I won't be at West End tonight either, but the plan is to meet at TGIF at 5:30 and then go bowling. After that we'll just see where the night takes us! Haha. Hoping you're still able to come. I may call you tomorrow in case you don't see this before then.
Orange and blue tie? What about pink and chartreuse? Or purple and brown? None of these color combinations are reasonable. Solid crimson--there's the way to go.
I left a shirt on your door yesterday. I thought about giving it to your hairy neighbor. Yes... he went out and checked his mail again. I think you should give it to him if you don't like it. ;) I wanted your opinion on my hair, but I'm leavin' town TOMORROW! We should get together when I get back. :)
What a beautiful weekend! It's like an appetizer of spring. I am heading to N'ville in a little bit to see my Aunt and Uncle and exchange some stuff at Home Goods. My last several weekends have busy in very good ways - I went down to Tampa to see the brothers and their ladies during Lectures, and Mom, Dad, and Andie came up for President's Day weekend. West End just finished up a meeting with Ferrell Jenkins.
Today has been great for relaxing. :o)
thanks for having us the other night. the food was good...i like spicy! well, hope to see you again soon. call us anytime. we're going to chattanooga thurs and fri, but will be around after that.
Hey, Girl! I went to our local medical supply place yesterday and thought of you. They may be interested in carrying some of Granny's stethoscope covers and OR caps.
Our meeting closed Friday night with Chris Reeves. Very good. One night we visited with Jesse and April Flowers over at Mark & Sherelyn's. April said she was glad to make the connection of you with us. They have a PRECIOUS little Jesse III.
Thank you on the picture. How are you? Well, I took Granny's samples to the medical supply place but found out the manager who had asked me to bring them in no longer works there! So, I'll hang on to them until we go to Lubbock where the home store is, and see if they're interested.
