a wonderful hubby----I have!!!!! 11-25-08 10:30pm EST
Tonight marks the 24th year 364th day we have been married. To celebrate our 25th David surprised me with theater tickets. I didn't know where we were going until we pulled up to the Ohio theater in downtown Columbus. On the marque "MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER"
It was so cool. I have been to several cities and their old theaters but I have never seen a more beautiful one until tonight. It beats the Civic of Akron, the Ohio and State of Cleveland, and the Palace of Canton. This just starts out week of celebrating. Tomorrow after work we leave for home. The whole family has not been together since Sept. 16. I am going to cherish every moment of this Thanksgiving weekend. YES FOR FAMILY TIME!!!!!!!

*****I just awoke and found a Tiffany and Co. bag on the dining room table--in it their signature silver heart bracelet. Oh the things he does for me. A silver bracelet for our silver.
shieldmaiden_rosaOh I know Aunt Leslie, I've been missing you all terribly especially now that that holidays are here! Love you and give hugs to all the family, please! ♥ Happy Anniversary as well. That sounds so much fun! :-)
caraboooh wow, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! 25 years is quite an accomplishment.

skulpyclayermore bad news. they got rid of bridal. i found out an hour before i left today. my choices are to stay in home or got to ladies RTW or ladies shoes. I would rather go to Clinique but no openings. what more could go wrong??? i guess i shouldn't ask. when are you coming home?

We had an intruder at school.... 11-12-08 01:27pm EST
When I got to school today, there was talk of a deer on the playground. I looked out the window and sure enough there was, I took turns holding my preschoolers up to the window so they could see it. After a awhile we started to calm down for morning circle time and all of a sudden my co teacher comes running in the room saying we have to get out. The deer had jumped through the window of the toddler room and was in the building. The toddler teachers put the babies in rolling cribs and got them out safely. There are observation window in each classroom and we weren't sure the deer would stay contained in that classroom--so after several face to name counts we marched everyone into the gym until police, fire, and the game warden got there. Sad to say the deer was tazered and then put down. So much for lesson plans and morning activities. I wish I knew how to link the story. Channel 10 was there all morning and they have it on the internet already. So anyone in the Columbus area can see it on the news at 6:00.
textiletDoes this happen all the time in Ohio? Maybe hunting season should open earlier.
jerzgirl:(
snickers63Too bad they could not get it out alive. What a morning!!!
sarahsecretoAwww. Too bad my dad and Joey weren't there. It wouldnt have survived the playground.
derbydiAwwww....sweet about the kids...sad about the deer!
derbydiYour title scared me!
mommaroushOh wow!! One thing's for sure around here- there are plenty of deer! Maybe he just wanted to visit and join in on morning circle :)
rox_my_sox_07crazy!
dnsandersWow! That is quite unusual and also what a first week of school and you are only half complete with it. :)
flowerpowerWhat a great memory you will have of this first week of school! Hopefully you gots some pictures?
emmybearwhoa! i would have hated to be that toddler teacher!
sprmomsaw your work on the 5:30 tv10 news!! how scary for the little ones.
big_bertha_bluewow- that is crazy!
skulpyclayerYour baby is so funny. She is right about the new room mate.
snickers63??? I don't know. I'm still here... I think.
textiletI've definitely missed talking to you lately - it was nice to chat the other day for a few minutes.
dshThat had to be a scary situation!
textiletOh, I forgot to mention that I stopped at GW this afternoon to get some pants that fit for my trip to Ohio. I found 3 pair, one with the original tags.
mimiDid the students know what was going on?
laughing_eyespoor dear deer
jaySorry, but did you get any jerky??? A number of the guys I work with, if they got called on that run, the game warden would have had to get there before them.
textiletHelp me! It is too cold in Ohio!

My new job.. 11-09-08 10:04pm EST
Tomorrow I start my first full week at La Petite Academy. I will be teaching the early preschool class. I spent this past week in training, and learning how to write lesson plans and such like. I was in the classroom some last week and really enjoyed working with the kids. It is amazing how fast they warmed up to me. They call me Miss Weswee. The most common phrase of the day is....."When my mommy gonna be here?" My reply "Mommy will be here soon"

Josh has spent this Lord's day with us. He is not feeling well so he will spend the night and David will take him back to campus in the morning. I hope the chicken soup he ate after evening services will be just the medicine he needed.

Last weekend David was on call at the hospital and as usual work the entire weekend. Saturday night he got called in at 11:30 pm for his first heart transplant. They finished up at around 9:00 am on Sunday morning. How amazing was that-- assisting on a heart transplant. He went to check on the patient later Sunday evening and he(the patient) was on his cell phone. God's power is awesome--and the ability He has given Drs. and nurses is amazing.
laughing_eyesWow! A big week all around!
carabooa heart transplant? wow, that would be something to see... hope josh feels better soon!
jerzgirlA heart transplant!! Wow!!
dshCongratulations on your new job! Hope all goes well tomorrow, Weswee.
cindyloowhoDon't they know your name is Lushie?
madam_librarian^wow that brings back memories--That's what my nephews used to call me when they were toddlers--now my oldest nephew has a toddler of his own.
textiletHope you have a great week!
textiletCollege towns have a personality of their own, don't they? Living in the south in general I've seen LOTS more college apparel than I ever saw in the north, especially on Saturdays!
textiletWe went to see Kent on Sunday morning, worshiped with him and took him to lunch. Saturday didn't work out because Caroline was at her babysitting job really late, but got paid 80 bucks! I told her I want a nice present this year! lol
emmybearwhoa! remind me to come to your hospital next time I need a heart transplant....
skulpyclayerThat is so exciting for him. I can't imagine professionally how that must feel for him being in a hospital where those things will happen. Sorry Joshy is sick hope the chicken soup worked. I have to go and work 12-9 today. YUK! This full time business is for the birds.
derbydiSweet little kiddos! Have a fun first week!
derbydiAnd that's really cool that Dave was involved in a heart transplant!
derbydiDo you all watch ER, Grey's Anatomy, and shows like that???
textiletThe bakery has stuffing bread and stuffing swirl bread. I'm going to bring some to Ohio.
sprmomGood Luck on your new job!
alp1926Congrats on the job. Beth loves working with young ones like that. She's following the early childhood education courses at Tri-C. Seems to like it. She just left for a meeting with her counselor. Time to sign up for next semester. Where does the time go?
sprmomHey, saw your preschool and 10tv tonight!! must have been scary for the kids!! We are lucky we get Columbus and Dayton news!

Where I come from its corn bread and chicken.... 11-06-08 11:46pm EST
Not a huge country music fan but, David is. We just returned from and Alan Jackson concert and I have to say it was awesome!!! Trace Adkins opened I was not as familiar with him, but AJ was great. Next week it's Steve Miller (my big sister and I listened to him growing up) and Dec. its....I can't tell.... Josh, and Megan are going to that concert and it's a surprise.

I started a new job this week. I'm a preschool teacher at an Academy. Went home this past weekend. Enjoyed some family time with my bros and sisters. And some Mom and daughter time with Megan. She was able to spend some time Saturday evening with some of her high school friends.. I think they really enjoyed talking about how much their lives have changed since they have all started college. Despite whats going on in the world life is good. God's Blessings abound.
Don't forget anyone in the Columbus area, Laurel Canyon starts their fall meeting Sunday.
dnsandersLeslie I just want to say thank you. I understand your situation and I hope and pray that you will be an inspiration to them and help those individuals. Sometimes it is hard but we always should try and be a light in the world. Again I thank you for the kind words of encouragement. It is good tohear from you and hopefully someday soon we will see each other again. Hope to hear from you soon. Tell David I said hi!
textiletWhen you said Megan is getting a roommate tom. I was thinking "what is this world coming to?" Then I realized you meant tomorrow! lol
textiletGlad you had fun at the concert and that you & D got to enjoy an evening together!
textiletOh, at CVS this week, M went and bought some hairspray and got a coupon that if you update your email address, you'll receive a $4 coupon, by email. That is pretty cool.
mimiI would love to go to an Alan Jackson concert - he is awesome!!
dshWe went to an Alan Jackson concert a few years ago at the state fair. Glad you got to go. Sounds like you're on a concert roll!
shel6yAhhhh, I would love to see Alan Jackson in concert!!! Glad you had a good time.

Chloe wants you to come back soon..."she has all the fun stuff!"
