Tonight marks the 24th year 364th day we have been married. To celebrate our 25th David surprised me with theater tickets. I didn't know where we were going until we pulled up to the Ohio theater in downtown Columbus. On the marque "MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER"
It was so cool. I have been to several cities and their old theaters but I have never seen a more beautiful one until tonight. It beats the Civic of Akron, the Ohio and State of Cleveland, and the Palace of Canton. This just starts out week of celebrating. Tomorrow after work we leave for home. The whole family has not been together since Sept. 16. I am going to cherish every moment of this Thanksgiving weekend. YES FOR FAMILY TIME!!!!!!!
*****I just awoke and found a Tiffany and Co. bag on the dining room table--in it their signature silver heart bracelet. Oh the things he does for me. A silver bracelet for our silver. |

When I got to school today, there was talk of a deer on the playground. I looked out the window and sure enough there was, I took turns holding my preschoolers up to the window so they could see it. After a awhile we started to calm down for morning circle time and all of a sudden my co teacher comes running in the room saying we have to get out. The deer had jumped through the window of the toddler room and was in the building. The toddler teachers put the babies in rolling cribs and got them out safely. There are observation window in each classroom and we weren't sure the deer would stay contained in that classroom--so after several face to name counts we marched everyone into the gym until police, fire, and the game warden got there. Sad to say the deer was tazered and then put down. So much for lesson plans and morning activities. I wish I knew how to link the story. Channel 10 was there all morning and they have it on the internet already. So anyone in the Columbus area can see it on the news at 6:00. |

Tomorrow I start my first full week at La Petite Academy. I will be teaching the early preschool class. I spent this past week in training, and learning how to write lesson plans and such like. I was in the classroom some last week and really enjoyed working with the kids. It is amazing how fast they warmed up to me. They call me Miss Weswee. The most common phrase of the day is....."When my mommy gonna be here?" My reply "Mommy will be here soon"
Josh has spent this Lord's day with us. He is not feeling well so he will spend the night and David will take him back to campus in the morning. I hope the chicken soup he ate after evening services will be just the medicine he needed.
Last weekend David was on call at the hospital and as usual work the entire weekend. Saturday night he got called in at 11:30 pm for his first heart transplant. They finished up at around 9:00 am on Sunday morning. How amazing was that-- assisting on a heart transplant. He went to check on the patient later Sunday evening and he(the patient) was on his cell phone. God's power is awesome--and the ability He has given Drs. and nurses is amazing. |

Not a huge country music fan but, David is. We just returned from and Alan Jackson concert and I have to say it was awesome!!! Trace Adkins opened I was not as familiar with him, but AJ was great. Next week it's Steve Miller (my big sister and I listened to him growing up) and Dec. its....I can't tell.... Josh, and Megan are going to that concert and it's a surprise.
I started a new job this week. I'm a preschool teacher at an Academy. Went home this past weekend. Enjoyed some family time with my bros and sisters. And some Mom and daughter time with Megan. She was able to spend some time Saturday evening with some of her high school friends.. I think they really enjoyed talking about how much their lives have changed since they have all started college. Despite whats going on in the world life is good. God's Blessings abound.
Don't forget anyone in the Columbus area, Laurel Canyon starts their fall meeting Sunday. |
