Physics isn't for everyone! 09-06-08 11:21pm EST
The previous post was actually started at work and finished after I arrived home... apparently, what I considered funny at work, didn't translate well.

So, here is something everyone can like - Rosie with a load of firewood we collected today, and in the midst of mums that Stacey picked up (for $2/each <- is amazing!).

They can all be viewed here.

I hope you have a marvelous day mutually edifying your local brethren tomorrow!
marlaSO adorable!!! :)
truthmeOK those are the cutest pictures ever.
cruisingmomOK what kind of vitamins are you giving our Rosie? She looks about 2 years older since Monday.
kellyawwww... she's getting so big. love the pics.
ektustinShe is so grown up! Her blue eyes are beautiful!!
curlieCute Rosie! She looks so much older!!!

Also, the mums are beautiful. Great price!
waerickI didn't think that first pic was Rosie until I saw the others - very cute. She likes her mums (and firewood)!
jayYa know, we have done a good job with keeping rachel and Katie out of the bed, but man - Abbi still sneaks in on a egular basis, and I think when I am not there, she just sleeps there uncontested! Rosie is beautiful!
lesleyShe's so pretty. I like the different ways you come up with to say what we do on the Lord's day :)
mjintexasShe is stinkin' adorable!!! Don't know how you can ever tell that kid no.
mjintexasOk. That made me laugh out loud. :)
I'm sure you're a fantastic dad. I was teasing about saying no. I just think it must take some backbone when your kids are that cute.

Time I had some time alone 09-06-08 07:54am EST
So, they're firing up the Large Hadron Collider on the 10th (if you care, you probably already know what it is). There is much concern that it will create a black hole here on earth and, well, that's that.

Practically, it doesn't make a ton of sense. But, after reading this post, and watching the following video, for some sill reason, my stomach went funny.

Just thought I'd share something interesting (^_^)

EDIT --------------------------------------------------------
Just so you all know, I'd side with those who say this is NOT going to end the world. I thought that this was a LITTLE interesting, but MOSTLY humorous.
terryfrancisIt's funny that we put all this money into trying to recreate the "Big Bang". Since the "Bang" never happened I figure this is just wasted money.

Plus, the idea that it will create a "black hole" is based on the theoretical flaw that the "Bang" happened to begin with.
kellyi'm a little suprised to see someone as smart as you post something like this. i took the time and watched the video (personally i prefer your last posts slideshow... much cuter). i went to the end is nigh post and read it. does it make stomach feel funny and think is this going to happen, kind of, but then i got real and started thinking that only God know when the end will happen. every day we should keep in mind that we don't know when the end is so seeing something like this should make our stomach's feel funny and just help refocus ourselves to live every day good as we should, & not take things for granted. love you benny!
all_gods_childrenVery interesting read. I read a few more articles on this. I just don't get it. (not the scientific part of it, but the human side of it) You know, it's so difficult for people to just have faith alone, and trust that God and His majesty and magnificent ways was able to speak all things into existence. It's so far fetched of an idea, that scientists long to recreate or create the power of God. I just don't get the logic behind it all. To cause potential damage (or not) for the sake of knowledge.?. It's beyond me, honestly. Obviously I don't think like a scientist.

Very interesting. Thanks for post!
arsenalIs this one of those "we're all gonna die" things like global warming?
cruisingmomIs this what the fervent heat will look like?
2Pet 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up

garythellamaAh yes, the good ol' LHC. I've been interested in it ever since I first heard about it back on Coast to Coast.

Laborious Weekend 09-02-08 09:59pm EST
Well, it at least wasn't too restful!
I honestly don't remember what we did Friday - I think I worked more on the outside chicken pen.

Saturday: made my special pancakes, chicken pen, removed mangled blades from finish (one "n" only) mower, picnic at Stacey's parents' place.

Sunday: Normal A.M. routine, lunch at Max & Erma's, played first game of stick-n-ball golf (I did pretty well and it was semi-enjoyable - still doesn't compare to disc golf!)

Monday: lazy start to the day, then to the national Draft Horse Plowing competition - pretty cool!

Here are some pics:
kellyawww. love the pics, i need to plan atleast a weekend trip home soon. i miss my real girls, you, stace, mom, dad and others as well.
smiley_bethLove the flower pic. And beautiful eggs. You guys seem to find some of the neatest fairs/shows, etc. to go to. The girls in their dresses and in the farm type setting reminds me of Little House days. Beautiful girls.
madtomkiddThat is partly why we went. We talked a LOT about "Laura and Mary" when we saw the different things there.
pollymhWow! Great photos of your girls. That looks like a lot of fun for the kids.
crazy_mamaIt has been a busy couple days! Tomorrow he is going to get everything out of his car and he is going to the chiropractor and he's pretty much going to take the whole day off tomorrow. He's pretty dizzy and sore today so we'll see how tomorrow goes for him. Cute pics of your girls!
carabooyour girls have such kind eyes. they just look so sweet.
whipsmilegood pics
lefantstafwhat a great weekend! mine consisted of working the whole time. and then more work.
all_gods_childrenAwesome photos! You got quite a few ~really~ neat shots! To many to list them all. What a fun time!!!
71lespaulcustomFor some strange reason, I really liked the photo of the eggs.
lesleyfantastic. Next I need some pictures of pumpkins and hay rides and when the leaves change color. We are going to miss Fall in Ohio :(
heatheronthehillI really enjoyed all of your pictures. Beautiful girls - all three of them! Loved seeing the horses and oxen plowing also! What a fun adventure!
arsenalNo, Drudge hasn't posted them yet.

Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely 08-28-08 10:03am EST
It is utterly ridiculous that someone should not be allowed to set up a little table and sell excess produce from their garden. That is exactly what a mayor in California is doing - putting a stop to two little girls selling their extra produce

It just blows my mind what some people will do to attempt to maintain control of what they perceive as their kingdoms.

This is a good example of why less government is a good thing.
curlieYertle the Turtle anyone?
whipsmileAlex told me that a 9 year old baseball pitcher who could throw over 40 mph was not allowed to play in his little league anymore because he was too good. He NEVER beaned a batter and had complete control. The powers that be just pulled the plug on him.

The story kind of relates to your post, well, it reminded me of it.
runningjakeOh wow, that is ridiculous! I could understand if they were adults and making a lively hood off of it, but two little kids? How is this any different from someone selling their old junk off of ebay...
madtomkiddMy Guess - the mayor doesn't know about potential lost tax revenue from Ebay.
tommyswifeWhatttttt!!!!!!!????????? Isn't it something that he is worried about that while criminals molest and murder children! So thankful that we serve a fair and righteous God!
madtomkiddI think you exhausted your allowance of exclamation points through the end of September. (^_^)
arsenalWhat else would you expect from a state that has become a people's republic, comrade.
mjintexasoh good GRIEF! I liked the comments on the article. :)
all_gods_childrenLeave it to the state of Ca. More strange rules.
tommyswifeI am very dramatic when it comes to my exclamations!!!! :)
mister_cWelcome to California - the land of fruits and nuts.
leighbee09school or senior status. it'll be okay i guess. three days down.
create_a_wayI agree 100%.
whipsmileAWESOME.
heidixThat's like shutting down a little girl's lemonade stand or prohibiting the sale of Girl Scout Cookies. So wrong!
create_a_wayyes, I was a HUGE fan of rp...I just have to trust God that this election with him would not have been the best for the Kingdom...
create_a_wayI don't know...even though I was a HUGE fan of paul, I saw limitations connected to him that would limit the reception of his message...limitations that are non-existant wtih Palin.
whipsmileyup...on my leg.
heatherj81I´m in São Paulo, Brazil.
heatherj81I just saw who your good friend is...his wife, Priscilla worshipped here with us for several years before seh got married and moved away!
all_gods_childrenhaha...you are probably right!! :)
kellyhe's okay, but are you aware that he was in a car accident sunday night? i just checked out the f/d site and it looks really cool. i'm glad you & wg will be able to go. you are a good daddy! oh... relating to your topic, in california, at disney land, there was a fresh fruit stand :)

100 months 08-22-08 08:14pm EST
That's a milestone that - sadly - many don't see today.

We've been married for 100 months as of today. Tuesdays are date nights, so we'll probably figure something to do then, but I wanted to make a post to let everyone know that I'm blessed to have a wonderful wife.

Hopefully, God will give us hundreds more months together!

have a great weekend!
cruisingmomWooHoo to many years of months together.
tommyswifeThat's cute Ben! We have started scheduling date nights too. If it is on the calendar somehow it doesn't get shoved into a to do pile! Enjoyed seeing you guys on Wednesday. Hated that we had to eat and run. Next time we will stay longer.
tommyswifeIs it not macho enough to say something is cute to a man? Sorry!
carabooi really like all the little milestones that you and stacey realize and celebrate :) it's very fun
71lespaulcustomMS Word opens the document, but fails to convert a whole mess of stuff. Of course, 50Mb is quite a hefty WP file.
mamahastingsThank you for always remembering us :) regardless of the insanity of life. I love you too!
marla:) YAY!!!
runningjakeCongrats!
stu192I think how important it is for men to set the example of the importance of marriage and a man's role in it. To know how you think of your wife and how often you say it for the world to hear is encouraging! Congratulations!
pollymhCongratulations! This is Polly Thurman Hosay! That is wonderful that you all get to do date night. Do you have family nearby to watch the kids? Hope you all are doing well
kellyi'm happy for you but as some call it cute, maybe isn't it also part of our sickness with counting?
cruisingmomI think she might be on to something^.
leighbee09congratulations! i love you guys
waerickI've got one with you looking up, but Willow's smile on the one I posted was much better.
waerickPhotobucket
arsenalSpeaking of acoustics. I'd trade my Fender Strat for a Martin D-28 any time.
whipsmileinteresting milestone to mark. :-)
congrats!
brazil_villethat's a great picture... Betsy is good, lives in Columbus, IN has two little girls in 2nd grade and kindergarden
mjintexasI am not sure I've ever counted my marriage in months! Hmmm...
arsenalI have an Epiphone Texan 12 String that I bought in the early 70s. John Lennon is reported to have used one of these. But I'll bet his was not made in Japan like mine.
lefantstafso 8 years and 4 months? just checking my math...
whipsmileyeah, it was a LOTR reference. :-)
racheldeeAwwww! Sorry I haven't been on pleonast for a few days, but I wanted you to know how happy I am for you and Stacey!! I think its so important that you make sure to schedule time together every week!!
mister_cNice. Also that's like 700 in Dog Months.
