SO until recently I haven't been to the movies in quite a while and then within one week I've seen three! I love movies!!
Quantum of Solace
I've never seen the original James Bond movies just the ones with Daniel Craig ;-) Anyways I really liked the first one and was pleased with the second one too. There was a lot of shooting and the plot moved swiftly. They bring a lot of stuff from the previous movie into this film so it took me a while to get up to speed. I think I have more questions now then after the first one....which I'm hoping that just means there'll be a third!! I liked it very much and give it 4 stars!
Twilight
*Sigh* I am totally hooked. I love, love, love, the books and I was very excited to see the film. The movie could never be as good as the books but they did a good job staying pretty acurate to the books. The movie was pretty fast paced to try to fit everything in which I think took away some of the suspense and some of the feeling of "I just have to know what's going to happen!" I didn't really care for much of the chosen music for the film and the acting was a bit cheesy in certain parts but overall I give it 4 and a half stars! (Of course I am a little biased going into it though! I'm rereading the books now to relate them back to the movie!!!)
Australia
I LOVED this movie!! It was the most touching movie I have seen in a long time. It had my whole row laughing and crying continuously throughout the film. It had beautiful cinematogrophy and lovely music and excellent acting and the cutest little boy! I recommend you go see it! I'm giving this movie 5 stars! I can't say anymore because I'm afraid I'll give something away.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Now let's get ready for CHRISTMAS!!!!
I feel sorry for us silly Americans. I am fearful of what is to come. Can we not see the warning signs before our very eyes. No we seem to be just as God's chosen people were blind to the miraculous wonders done before their very eyes. I am afraid we are like Israel crying out for a king and when God gives us what we demand we will see that it is not best.
But I have hope because God is still God no matter who is leading this country and He will always be here. Constant. Eternal. Cheer up America because God is in control NOT Obama. We will get through this because of Him. We must have faith. We must also lift our voices up in prayer for this country and this country's leaders. I think that I shall be on my knees often in this regard.
I don't know about you but I get great relief from handing this matter right on over to God!
I have thought of these very same things. You are right... we just have to trust! We did our part by voting, and I feel like it's out of our hands now.
I hope this isn't some kind of sign! Lately I've been having strange dreams involving wedding crisis! In one dream Richard had to "fit" the wedding into his schedule between classes. And he was late! He left before the reception so he could get back to class. :( And then last night I dreamed that it was the day of and like nothing was done so we spent all day running errands and putting things together. All of my laundry was dirty and I didn't have any clothes to take on the honeymoon. My hair was a mess. I almost woke up in a bit of a panic. After you start planning a wedding you start to understand why all of those smart people eloped!
Do any of you have any wedding stories whether they're your own or someone elses?
I just finished. Now my life can continue to go on as I know it. Haha. Seriously I was obsessed there for a while. I'm glad I finished before school starts back.
Please pray for my Richard. He accidentally deleted some important files off of his flashdrive that equals 40 hrs worth of work that was supposed to be finished by Friday. :-( It's not going to be a fun week.
yikes! poor richard. i hope he can get things corrected in a super short time!
and i just started book 2 last night. hopefully i will be able to discuss the whole series with you next week sometime. (i guess it wouldn't look good if i read that during the ladies lectureship.) :)
Oh I just have some random thoughts to say this night.
I barely made this posting in time to be in 8-8-08.
I saw Mamma Mia today and LOVED it. I sang along through the whole movie.
I am so in love with my fiance and sometimes I feel that there is just not enough words in this world to express that.
People all around me are getting engaged and married. It's very exciting!
I'm finished with this semester! YAY! I had doubts of making it through.
I plan on reading several books during my two week break from school.
I also plan on picking a date and a location for my wedding very soon.
I am a little sad summer is coming to a close. I feel like I barely got to experience its magic.
I had better post this entry before midnight.
i haven't seen mamma mia yet, but i want to. jim and i saw the musical in b'ham the weekend that we got engaged. good luck with your wedding planning! try not to get too stressed out!
