I hope everyone can come! We'll be learning lots of new songs and singing out of our supplemental book as well as our Hymns for Worship.

So our Singing School (two posts down) has been rescheduled! (Hurricane Ike cancelled the first attempt) So everyone mark your calendars for Saturday, November 22nd! It will last all day - I'll give you more updates when they become available! I hope everyone can make it!
On another note - apparently I was "tagged" - I'm not sure how this works, but from what I gather, I'm supposed to say 8 things about myself!... so here it goes!
1) I'm engaged to the most wonderful man I've ever met - DJ Dickerson - and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
2) I love all my Christian friends and enjoy spending time with them! I especially love everyone from Southside in Silsbee, Texas, where I attend!
3) Even though I'm 19, I still sleep with my stuffed Raccoon (named "Raccoon") and have slept with him ever since I was 2 years old!
4) I love hanging out with my mom - we do everything together!
5) I love to ride with the windows down and the sun roof open with country music blaring and singing at the top of my lungs!
6) My two favorite country singers are Josh Turner and Luke Bryan! They are soo cute - not as adorable as DJ though ;)
7) My number one weakness is dessert! No diet can stand up to the taste of CAKE or CHOCOLATE! Hehe!
8) I'm a bit OCD and a major perfectionist - I try not to be, but I can't help myself!
Is raccoon going to be your ringbearer? is he going to have his own room soon after your married? I don't know how he'll share the masterbedroom?! lol!
Wow. You do everything with your Mom? That suprised me at first, but I realize I used to not exactly get along my mom but now we talk all the time and eat lunch together at school. :)
Well... Hurricane Ike looks like it's headed our way. There's mandatory evacuation in Jefferson County, School was cancelled today and tomorrow, and we only had to work an hour today to get everything shut down and prepared for the Hurricane. I'm not sure where we're evacuating to, but I'm not looking forward to sitting in hours of traffic....
On an even sadder note, the Singing School (see post below) at South Side in Silsbee has been cancelled due to the fact that it was set for this weekend and Hurricane Ike will effect most of the Texas coast! We hope to reschedule in November. I'll keep you posted.
Anyway, keep everyone in your prayers: those who are evacuating who will have to sit in traffic for hours and hope that they have enough gas and a place to stay, as well as those who plan to stay and tough it out.
On a happier note... today is a BEAUTIFUL day!!!! :D Hehe!
Hey thanks!! School is going pretty good so far. And yes i did have a good summer! I wish i could do some of those things again lol. You have a good rest of the year! talk to ya soon :)
I just wanted to make a post about our upcomming Singing School at the Church I attend in Silsbee, TX! Everyone should definately come!
Our church holds this school annualy, although this year we'll be doing the itenerary a little differently. For one thing, it's only going to be on a Saturday instead of Friday night AND Saturday due to the rising prices of gasoline. Here's the info:

The men are taught by Wayne Wise and Scott Brown. They learn a bit of sight singing as well as song leading! So be ready and bring your pitch pipe!
There is also a song leading class for the younger boys!
The ladies of the church bring a covered dish and we eat lunch and dinner (since we're in classes all day) over at the community center accross the street. I believe that the men are also cooking breakfast Saturday morning for everyone!

I hope everyone can come! Let me know if you need directions or more information! I'll be posting updates as far as exact times etc. :)
I don't really know where Georgetown came from, but it is true we are moving. We haven't really decided where to move yet, but somewhere south. We're thinking maybe San Antonio. Wherever we are, we will get to see y'all more. I'm really excited!
Ah, the picture jsut doesn't do it justice. Yep, looks like i"ll have to come! OR you can come here and we'll SHOP! Dewey said thanks. He also asked how Gigi is doing. :)
In case anyone is wondering, the ladies classes are held at the Silsbee Community Center, directly across the street from our building, hence, the piano!
probably not, I have tests in everyone of my classes next week and this semster is vital as far as grades are concerned. I wish I could but i'll be in my room studying like a mad person! i love you and miss you so much
we still don't know where we are going. It's too early to find a job because the same positions won't be available when we actually move. We are for sure going somewhere warm. It's already getting cool here!
This week has FLOWN by! And boy am I glad! This weekend is Texas Rock Lock! I've never been, but I'm expecting it to be lots of fun! (Of course I haven't stayed up all night in....well...years...) Haha! I'm gettin' OLD!
I'm also going to another Bridal Show at the Civic Center Sunday afternoon which will be fun! Maybe I'll win something this time! Hehe!
Then Monday, July 14th, D.J. will be preaching at the Gospel Meeting in Burkeville, Texas so I'll be going to that.
Then Tuesday, July 15th, my dad will be preaching at the Gospel Meeting in Burkeville, Texas so I'll be going to that too!
Everybody should come! DJ and Dad are my two favorite preachers... of course I may be a little bias! Hehe...
Then Friday, July 18th, me, Krista, and my little brother are heading to DJ's house to stay the night and pack up everything for SINGING SCHOOL!
Then Saturday, we (Me, DJ, Krista, and Austin) will meet up with the Silsbee COC Caravan to follow them to SINGING SCHOOL! And then that WHOLE WEEK we'll be in Oklahoma for SINGING SCHOOL! Yay!
And also, during that week at SINGING SCHOOL, July 23rd will be mine and DJ's 7 month lunaversary since we've been engaged! Yay!
Speaking of engagements, Kayla and Nathan are officially ENGAGED! As of yesterday, July 10, 2008! Yay! I'm so happy for them! CONGRATULATIONS KAYLA AND NATHAN!
They'll also be at church in Silsbee this Sunday so I can't wait to hear all about the details! Hehe!
Welp, that's all for now! I'm at work on my lunch break!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! Yay!

I like sewing but always need someone to help me go along with it. I hope to try to sew a cat pillow for a friend of mine and some other cat like things so that I can give it to her at christmastime :) I've already made 3 pillows and 2 shirt like things but that's been SEVERAL YEARS ago. LOL! :)-
