flowerpower	So good to hear from you! I remember BJ! Well, Rex and I haven't been up to much. No kids yet. I'm working at Community Hospitals of Indianapolis, for their billing dept. We live on the westside of Indy, in Plainfield, where I grew up. So we are not far from all the family. Rex works for Markey's Rental and Staging, an audio visual company, and he is a director over 4 properties downtown Indy. We attend Mooresville church of Christ, so if you are ever in the area, let us know and we will get together!
flowerpower	BTW, I would LOVE to go on a cruise! What a fun job that would be. How do you like it?
green_gourmet	Absolutely! Tara has Fri. off and I asked Kim if that day would work for her too. I'll let you know if it is on for then...Is that a possibility for you? If not, we can do it again another day too!
green_gourmet	Oh, and I'm thinkin 10ish. I have a meeting early in the morning, so I need time to get back and set up before we get started.
sutherngirl	YES, totally! Amanda called to say they were on their way to pick up the ring. Hope they got around to sizing it today or she will be disappointed. We plan a trip to the mountains during her fall break to find their wedding location. Maybe they will tell you all the details tonight.

sutherngirl	So did A & A make it over? I'm still waiting for pictures of the ring!
green_gourmet	10:00 at Kim Harbaugh's(more room!). I'll write you later about what to bring...still deciding on some things!
ex_pat	Please email me a dedication, thought or scripture that you would like put on the dedication page of the cookbook. We are also encluding camp directors etc. Thanks.
flowerpower	I don't know Tim very well, and YES, it is a small world. Have you ever randomly chosen a name off of someone's friend list, and keep doing that? Somehow you end up getting to find someone you know. It's like everyone knows someone you know. I love it!! :)
green_gourmet	Well, let's see...15 min. or so of prep. 1st rise: about 45 min. Then it takes 15 min. or so to shape the loaves. 45 minutes for the second rise and 30 minutes of baking time. So, aprx. 2 1/2 hours total.
green_gourmet	We could start a little earlier if you need to. I could probably swing 9:30. As for the baby, we won't all be handling dough at the same time, so you can pass her off to someone else when it is your turn if you want to. I'll have to do that myself. Aaron is still nursing frequently enough that I have to have him with me. But, it's up to you. I'm happy to do it again another time if you feel like it won't work out for you Friday.
green_gourmet	Sorry it's taken me so long to tell you all what to bring! We sorta set this up at the last minute and it takes a while to plan out exactly how something like this should go and what, exactly, we will need. I have a few distractions too!!! Let me know about Fri. If you are still planning to come I'll be sure and give you your list late tonight or early tomorrow. It will be simple. Just one or two things. I'll have one person bring some olive oil, another bring some honey, etc.
green_gourmet	Oh, and, do you have your own loaf pan?
kimberlyharbaugh	so, your kids go by k1 and k2, is that like thing 1 and thing 2? ;)
green_gourmet	O.k. you bring the honey- a 24 to 32 oz jar(whichever you get a better deal on) and your loaf pan. Also, if you would like to, bring a brown bag lunch.
green_gourmet	Oh and I do need to give a warning. We are on Lilly watch this morning. She was acting really weird last night...really fussy and she wouldn't eat dinner(which is NOT like Lilly). I stayed home with her and put her to bed at 7:30. She is STILL sleeping and it is 9:30 now(also weird for Lilly). The last time she did this she woke up with a high fever- ear infection. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I may have to cancel at the last minute if she is sick. Ahhh life with kids. Hopefully she is just really tired! [x]
green_gourmet	Lilly just woke up and appears to be totally fine! She must have been REALLY tired:) She has lost out on some sleep lately! We're on!
green_gourmet	Be thinking about what you would like to make...onion herb, cinnamon raisin, reg. whole wheat(sandwich style), honey wheat, or rolls. Let me know when you decide. Your choices will determine what I bring:)

green_gourmet	I think everyone is still planning on 10:00. If you need it to be a little earlier to fit it in your schedule, I can start yours before that(I was planning on getting to Kim's a little earlier anyway.). Just let me know:)
green_gourmet	Oh, and everyone is going home with their own loaf, so it's totally up to you! The onion and raisin versions are just variations of plain dough. We will be making the plain mixture and then we can bake them like that or add other things to alter the taste...So, just pick your fav.!

Okay people...

First of all--thank you to all who have submitted recipes.

Second, those who have not--please go get your recipe box or binder right now. Now pick out up to three recipes and submit them now, while you're thinking about it. It's for a good cause--most of you love FC, and the deadline is coming up. Then, when you're done, ask your moms, sisters, cousins, and mailman for a copy of their favorite recipes and submit them for them. Thanks for your help.

scbrewer	I've been trying to get a family recipe book together for about 3 years now and I have no recipes. None.
ex_pat	Sheena is printing off flyers and passing them out today at school. I sent a note to one of the camp directors and asked him to send it to his groups. Maybe well get it together.

sutherngirl	We have a pretty well-rounded book so far. Of course there are usually more desserts and casseroles, etc. Apptizers/Beverages 17, Soups/Salads 18, Vegtables and side dishes 13, main dishes 35, breads/rolls 13, desserts 43, candy/cookies 15, this and that 10

2thehilt	okay.... i finally put in my recipes... I don't know who proofs but maybe put in "class of 1993" for me. I saw that other people had that, but I had already submitted mine.
sutherngirl	I think we should just let anyone add recipes until the end of the month. Don't think it matters about how many as long as we hit 200 and 90 contributors...can't forget the 90 contributors for the guarantee, I'll add the class info.
chemo_brain	you sound so mean and demanding...
scubasteve	Mom, Grandma, Aunt Patti & Megan are all going to email recepies to me tomorrow for you.
sutherngirl	What about Connie Ashley's recipes? Do you have them or is there someone we should ask? I don't know her but know some were talking about wanting them in the book. We can open typensave to unlimited and add them.
sutherngirl	For personal pages, just include a hard copy of the information along with your order form. Got this today from Morris.

My girl started preschool today!! She loved it, thankfully. I wasn't quite sure how'd she do. Was I sad-nope. Very excited for her-she'll love it. Were you all sad when your kids started preschool?

Working on my travel business lately. I've decided to specialize in cruises and destination weddings (apparently the new thing). Lots to learn and hopefully experience. 8)

sarahmarcelle	Mmm...one thing was tortilla chips. Someone made home made tortilla chips and they were SO much worse than Tostitos. Same for cheese dip and such too. One thing--I made beef enchildas. If you had not seen the food, just the information, you would have thought the frozen enchiladas were awesome. THEY WERE NOT! They tasted SO gross, I felt bad that the people in the class had to sample them! My enchiladas had a few more calories (not much) but were way higher in sodium! I didn't believe that my home made item had more sodium than a prepackaged one! The canned enchilada sauce is what made it that way. I found a recipe for home made enchilada sauce and it's much better for you now.
wafflemouse	Wow, you started already!?! We don't start until Oct 1st.
be_with_me_lord	I home schooled ;) But, when the little boy I nannied started, it was a little sad to see him so grown up.
sutherngirl	AW, so happy for K 1. Yes that was sweet of Alan and Amanda. Probably trying to make up for making her cry Sunday. :) I'm still sad to see my kids leave! DESTINATION WEDDINGS!!!!!! Not a minute to soon for you to start. Let's talk!

missysnapp	Glad she enjoyed herself. Now you can have some one-on-one time with Kasey. How do you do a travel business when so many people use Travelocity or Orbitz type sites? How does that work?

California was absolutely wonderful. I loved being with family, tried to savor the perfect weather, and take in all the mountains and waves, etc. We went to the beach and saw 2 seals and 2 dolphins--how awesome is that? We buried K1 in the sand up to her neck, and she also wanted to try boogie boarding. We ate mexican...and many other foods that would make me sound like a pig if I listed. It was so fun watching K1 with her cousins-- having big-girl sleepovers and whatnot. Out in California, it is RARE to have sweet tea. K1 had a sip of someone's unsweet tea, and she turned to me and said, "Mom, my water tastes better than that!"

The cousins loved holding K2 and K2 was a good sport about being passed from kid to kid. We took some family pictures, spent time all together, played games, and laughed. We got to see aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins. I was pretty much sad to come back. But now I'm getting back in the groove and will try to enjoy this nice, cool summer. :)

wafflemouse	She did great. She cried a couple days, but mostly just at the beginning - had to peel her off of me and give her to Mark. Then she was fine. My advice would be to stay out of her eyesite. By the last day she was happily doing whatever he asked. Who's his partner?

Going to Cali!!

I am so excited to get to go to California with my family. It's been while since we've seen everyone. Some of my family haven't even seen Kasey, yet, so it'll be neat to be out there. We're looking forward to the family (of course), the weather, mountains, oceans with waves, Del Taco, Claim Jumper, In-N-Out, Carl's Jr., and donuts. I haven't done the Hollywood thing since I was like 10 years old, so I think we're going to do that, too. Only thing I'm nervous about is the plane trip. Katelyn will be fine, but Kasey is a bit active (6 months old). Any suggestions on keeping a baby happy/sedated :) for a LONG flight? One other question--what do you think of when you think of California? I'm very curious. I think of "home."

joes_wife	I think of Disneyland, Huntington Library, wonderful weather and the "home" of my childhood. I was there from two years old to 11. I love the "smell" of California :) Are you back yet?

katie08	I know what you mean. Molly doesn't have any friends from church at king and i feel so sorry for her. I really have been so lucky. Graduation tonight was honestly one of the funnest nights of my life, I never thought it would be so FUN lol! It was definitely very emotional too though...I just had a great high school experience overall. I'm just lucky.
ex_pat	Can you get Connie's recipies for the cookbook. I know I could get them from Mom but this would be easier as she doesn't use email. Also is the other booster club doing a cookbook?
hoosierbybirth	Hi, we're moving to Crawfordsville. My husband will be working with the Southside congregation. He trained to preach with the 10th Street congregation (Lakeview now). I also have family that lives in the Indy area, they worship with Danville.
