Time for the monthly posting! This past weekend I went up to Atlanta. For Christmas Scott bought tickets to The Lion King. For some reason when I was in London and seeing almost every play/musical known to man I never saw that show. I had heard nothing but amazing reviews about it so when I heard it was in Atlanta I dropped multiple hints and Scott bought tickets. We decided to spend this weekend doing wedding stuff- registering, buying wedding rings, working on centerpiece ideas, etc... Friday we started the day off with some QT coffee (BEST COFFEE EVER...even though I drink a little coffee with a lot of cream and sugar usually). Then, we went on a whirlwind registering spree- that gun was tired by the time we were finished! We registered at Pottery Barn (but alas, no apothecary table, Katie), Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Target. We started at Target first but the whole time kept saying to each other "let's check out BBB, I think they have nicer quality of ____." Then, about 8 hours later we met Scott's mom at Michael's craft store. I showed her my ideas for the centerpieces and bought some items so that she can make demo's. My feet were EXHAUSTED by the time we were finished. Saturday we bought our wedding bands. It is so much easier for guys than girls when it comes to shopping. Scott took about 5 seconds. I took much much longer. We then went back to Target, hit up Kohl's, had some lunch, and finally, my tired feet got a pedicure. We had just enough time to return to his cousin's house and relax for a bit before going out to dinner. We went to this amazing steakhouse called Chops. It was one of the best steaks that I've had. Scott was originally planning on proposing that night. He had told the restaurant that when he made reservations. When we arrived he informed them that he had already asked (and that obviously I had said "yes."). Well, as we were sitting there stuffed a waiter brought dessert to our table. It was a rum raisin cake. Now, I'm not a huge fan of raisins but this was an amazing cake. It had some sort of vanilla sauce and home-made whipped cream. The best part was that written on the plate in choclate was "Congratulations!" If only one of us had brought the camera. Oh well...we'll just have to go back on another special occasion!! We finished the night with The Lion King. It was amazing. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys either the movie or musicals in general. Sunday was church and driving back to Tallahassee. I'm still trying to recover! Thank goodness that this weekend should be fairly relaxing.
I'm finally posting again! It was a very busy couple of months with studying for the GA bar and work. That is finally finished (whew!) and now I get to plan a wedding. Good stuff! Hey! I had no idea you were on here...or did I and I forgot. Sorry. I don't comment much on others nor my own. Congrats on the wedding. I had no idea. My mom didn't tell me. Tampa area for the wedding huh? Well I do live down here and I did just get married so let me know if you need a good florist or caterer or anything. I can recommend a few. I won't be in J-ville this weekend unfortunately. My niece is hunting eggs down here with us so we are spending easter with Rhett's parents. My dad told me your hubby to be was really nice. I'm finally posting. Scott is on pleonast now so I guess I have to post something so that he and others can leave me comments. I really don't have a lot to say besides the fact that work is completely stressing me out. I have to argue an intoxilyzer motion in a few weeks. Yes, the same motion that took all the intoxilyzer results away in Leon County. In October I'm going to Atlanta and Scott and I are going to the Apple Festival in Ellijay. Then, we are going to Helen, GA and going out to eat with his family for his great-aunt's birthday. I can't wait for fall!! Is this good enough of a post for everyone?
