Well, even though I don't use this blog much anymore, I thought I would ask those of you who might read it for summer reading suggestions. So far I have started The Five Love Languages and I just checked out Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Cristie. I love to read, but it is very hard to pick out a book that I know nothing about. I like just about any type of book, but nothing with too much violence or disturbing things (The Shining...no thank you!) Thanks in advance!
My friend Molly and I really loved the book "For Women Only" by Shaunti Feldham. It is a book about how to better understand men. Other good books are pretty much anything by Jodi Picoult or any of the Blossom Street books by Debbie Macomber (the second are really fun easy reads)\
I highly recommend Every Man's Battle and Every Woman's Battle. VERY interesting and will bring lots of understanding to your marriage. :) LOve ya girl!!
unfortunately, my policy doesn't have flood coverage... and since it came from outside and there was no roof damage, it's considered a flood... oh well.
As of March 17th, Eli and I will own this beautiful home. We could not be more excited! We absolutely LOVE our house and can't wait to get in a make it ours. It's in a very nice part of town (Main Street), has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. I will probably be the only person in the US with a purple toilet, shower and sink in my bathroom! As soon as we move in, I will post pictures. We are so excited!!
you will love the pampered chef baking stones once you start using them. The "age" as they are used and are supposed to turn darker. Start using it with things that are rather oily, peanut butter cookies, cressent rolls, etc. and lightly spray with PAM until get gets some seasoning. Then in many cases it will be non stick. I still spray mine to be sure buy very lightly. This move I'm getting rid of the last of my cookie sheets as I never use them anymore except under a pie! You almost can't burn the bottom of a cookie or piza using the stone. You do not need to warm them before using. Don't imerse them in water or run water on them when hot. I use it to bake anything I would have used a cookie sheet for. Emial if you have anymore questions as I've had mine for years and love them.
Hey Audrey - We met through Tiff and Brad - Will went to Athens Bible School with Brad. We started e-mailing and then met for our first date and I'd moved to Athens, AL within 2 months of our first date. We were engaged 5 months later and married 2 months after that :). Whirlwind romance. We will be married for 3 years this October... We don't waste any time on anything since we'll have 2 children by our 3rd Anniversary :). I wouldn't trade any of it for the world though. Congrats on being a homeowner. It's wonderful! How are y'all doing?
This morning when I woke up, it was snowing outside!! EEK! I'm still not completely used to the cold weather again, but so far it hasn't been too bad. Our house is coming together and starting too look really nice. It's nice being so close to everything. Just about anywhere you'd want to go is 5 mins away!
We still don't have any internet, so I'm actually posting from the library. So if I don't answer emails right away, that's why. Anyway, we're just getting ready for Thanksgiving here. Hope everyone has a good turkey day!
Hey! So, having a hard time adjusting to the cold weather again? I saw some pictures of your house on facebook...nice. Are you still working at Starbucks? Where does Eli work?
Hey Audrey... it was good to hear from you! Thanks for saying Jack looks like me... you're one of the only people who has said that :) - He really looks a TON like Will. How are you doing?
more in the country, because I want chickens and possibly bees. we would like to live closer to new castle so as to be closer to you guys. really though, any place is pretty close! :)
Hey! Send me your new address. I think I asked Kim for it but for some reason, I don't think she sent it. Do you guys like it up there? Grandma told me that she suggested that Eli drive a swanson truck? I heard he isn't doing that, but that made me laugh that Grandma would tell him that. I bet your hair looks super cute. I have the x-mas card and everyone looks really happy & cute.
I'm making banana bread and wearing a sweater...even though it's still 80 degrees outside. Ah, at least I can wish it were fall.
In six weeks Eli and I will be moving to New Castle, IN to be closer to his family. We are so excited!! I feel anxious and sad and nervous and excited all at the same time! I will miss Florida SO much, but I am also ready for a change. It will be so different living in a small town and having seasons again, but I am looking forward to it. I already have a job lined up with the Starbucks up there and Eli will probably get a job at the factory where his brother works at. We'll be renting a small house at first and then saving up to buy our own. We are just so excited for this new chapter in our lives. Well, I'm off to check my bread!
i see on mapquest that's about 4.5 hours away from BG. 1st of all, you must come visit at least once a month. 2nd, once you get moved in and Steven and I have a break, we are coming to visit you!!!
