A teacher brought this up today in class. He said that we are not trying as hard as we can. We dont care. Its not even about music any more. We as a part of American society have come to accept giving the bare minimum. Just enough to get by. Some people can't figure ut why the U.S. has fallen behind in education for example. The reason we are behind is because we just barley give enough. Just enough to get by. Are you really satisfied with just barley enough? We need to change that. Its not enough any more.
Saying that i have come to realize that that attitude has crept its way into some of our spiritual lives without us realizing it. How many times have you just gone through the motions during church? How many times do you study outside of church? There are many other examples.
Just something to think about.
We had a bible study at my house yesterday. It was pretty good. We studied chapter 1 and part of 2 of Job. I was excited it was the first time I had gotten a friend from school to go to one. What was funny was my her observation that Satan took everything away from Job that he loved. However he didnt take away his wife... I had never really thought about it. After the class we played the Halls Wii. Im giving up all games that dont involve a keypoard and mouse. it was sad. I tried to play mario carts wii and...lets just say I was still on my first lap when Stephen finished the race lol.
